DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING: We selected 3" diameter piping to maximize exhaust flow and the sound of the turbos spooling - and oh do you hear them now. It was also important that we retain use of the factory heat shields as to not heat soak the components around the turbos. We designed our Cat Bypass Pipes to have the best possible exhaust path with valves open in pursuit of maximum exhaust flow. We approached AWE Tuning about testing our development car at their state of the R&D facility for third party dyno results. We experienced max gains of 20 whp and 21 ft-lbs of torque at 5,800 RPM as tested on a 2017 Carrera 4S with no other mods. Peak power was up by 10 whp and 14 ft-lbs. Much greater gains can be expected from the freer flowing exhaust when paired with a tune. During testing we experienced no CEL, but cannot guarantee the same results on all cars as all cars are different and unique. Catted O2 Spacers are also available to reduce any chances of triggering a CEL.
CONSTRUCTION: Each set is assembled out of thick wall .065" T304L stainless steel and rigorously quality checked in-house. Smooth mandrel bends and thick flanges ensure product longevity.
BOLT ON AND GO: Each product is tested in a fixture to ensure perfect fitment. Thorough installation instructions are included in the box for a straightforward install that can be performed by most DIY enthusiasts.

Wanna hear how we do it in the EU? Keep the stock downpipes stored somewhere and before emission tests swap them. If you have valved exhaust, you won't bother cops in the city :D.

Surprised by how tame it is
The factory PSE muffler is very well designed. It sounds great with valves open and still very quiet with valves closed.
Love the sound but with the o2 spacer, will it avoid a check engine light?
O2 spacers can not guarantee preventing a CEL, they help, but the only sure fire way is with a tune.

Does „cat bypass pipes“ mean, that the exhaust gases can flow through the cats and therefore the emissions can can be respected when the valves are closed?
No. The catalytic converter sections are before the rear exhaust.
Nobody who buys a Porsche cares about stupid emissions. Just bribe the tester. I'm lucky we have no I'm going emissions tests so I gutted my cats. I didn't know this existed back then.
Too much popping. Any way to get rid of this?
With valves open on PSE and paired with Cat Bypass Pipes it's practically a straight pipe. The popping you are hearing is dialed in from the factory. It's most prevalent in Sport Mode - other mods pop less. -Mike

the popping is a function of the car in sport mode, it will pop regardless of the cat bypass or not in sport mode. if you don't like the popping just keep it in normal mode. sport + also doesn't really pop.
