Honestly out of all the voices 4kids picked for all the characters, Sunshine's fits the strongest
I also did like Mantaro/Kid Muscle and how Marc Thompson is as him, managing to show he can be a coward but when he steps up, he becomes the hero he can be just like his dad was.
Personally I do think some of the voices are actually pretty good and fit the characters. My favorites and my opinion the best are:

I also realize that Sunshine's VA is the same person in the 4Kids dub of Crocodile in One Piece
Brocken Jr's screech was the best thing 4Kids has done.
And he said Ramenman split his father Brockenman in two, that’s exactly what happened in the manga, but was literally transformed into noodles in the OG anime. Wow

@@bruhford3954 Galatic Wrestling is the closest we have gotten to the original story and comedy. Most of the "legends" and their quotes are closer to the OG's writing and structure vs 4kids retelling

Okay, well, you know what King Muscle should've been by... "Dan Castellaneta" (the voice of Homer Simpson)
There actually WAS a special Kinnikuman themed wrestling show in 2009 which had a lot of wrestlers portraying the characters, like Kinnikuman, Robin Mask, Mongolman, and even Sunshine!
I know, I want them to do more, I also wanna watch that wrestling show, but I can't find the full show anywhere, just this recap video that was on TH-cam but not anymore, if you have a link or something, let me know
Nice to see they fixed Ashuraman's dub voice from the TV show to actually be intimidating instead of sounding like Apu Nahasapeemapetilon. But damn if Ultimate Muscle isn't the best 4kids dub. You freaking got Goku as the voice of Bone Cold. And I love that weird Ringo Starr impression Eric Stuart gave Geronimo.
Out of all of the dubs it was the least offense retelling/dubbing 4kids has done next to maybe Yugioh since they took that one serious. Broken Jr and Jager's VAs though.... the accents HURT. Wish we had a proper sub/dub of the Kinnikuman story though. We missed out on some top tier games and media
@@TheDeathMare To be perfectly honest, They tried too hard to make the anime Kinnikuman Nisei like the original Kinnikuman anime. Cutting out arcs, ending the series on a filler arc, making Dik Dik and Wally's role similar to Kinkotsuman and Iwoa. The manga was far superior and meant as an anniversary product for adult fans, while they made the anime for kids. I'm not saying that the original Japanese language version wasn't good for what it was, but the team 4Kids had writing for the series was their top tier comedy team and elevated a lot of the series. I find it somewhere between a gag dub and a humor equivalent dub. They also went on to work on the sadly unappreciated Funky Cops dub that makes the newer English dub of the series feel dull and lifeless. Still, I wish there was someone who did fansubs of all the episodes of Kinnikuman Nisei, just for comparison's sake.
@@mightyfilm I can see that and 100% agree. Personally the Manga for both OG and Nisei where better then their anime counter parts for me personally. Would love to a more faithful adaption that plays the line between gag anime and serious Shonen style better. Both need to treated as important because you can't have one without the other and still be Kinnikuman

It was their intention to make Geronimo (or Beetlebomb as he's known here) a Beatles impersonation of some sort, which is the dumbest way to work around a character that's supposed to be an Apache. It's not like he's as big of a stereotype as Ramenman or Terryman either.

I funny that as a kid i had no idea of the original kinnikuman so when i got these intros relating to the old series it always made wonder what was King muscles past like especially since meat froze himself for 30 years
I think we all were like that. Kinnikuman proper barely touched over here. And when it did it was always under a different name/branding.

I think you miss out on the match intro with Kinnikuman/King Muscle & Terryman(The Machineguns) Vs. Neptuneman & Neptune King/Poseidon(Hell Missionaries). Either that or the encounter only happened in the japanese version of the game.

Easily the Oldest Manga/Anime 4kids has successfully Dubbed.
I really like how the English Dub voice has been improved in the version. Because the GameCube version was kinda Blah in my opinion..Just like the JPN Version as well.

Lot of repeating VAs in 4Kids. I wonder if it's because their plate was full with One Piece, Ultimate Muscle, etc. That they just got a handful so they could do a bunch of lines for different animes quickly?

Kind of funny how he's basically Neptuneman without the costume. Were they even aware of that when they were choosing voices? They seemed to realize Barracuda was really Robin Mask, so what? Also, I am really not sure about Akuma Shogun's voice here. They make him sound like Mojo Jojo. I don't know if I can call that fitting or not.

i forgot that they made one for GC and PS2. kinda don't enjoy the 4kids dub, but i can deal with it. don't get many games like this anymore.
bigslim7777 There was one for the GBA as well. The NES had M.U.S.C.L.E. based on the toys based off of the first Kinnikuman series.
I can tell the VA's put quite a bit of effort into these roles (surprising for 4Kids work) but the fact most of the clips had to be sped up to fit allowed time tends to make me take some scenes less seriously.
I don't know what to believe. Half the posts saying the voices and acting is good and the others are saying it's bad lol.

Never had a Gamecube so I don't know about that myself, I thought when I first played this game it was a port of the GC one, I was pleasantly surprised.
Why does Kamehame have an Australian accent voice?! And he sound young, he's supposed to be like 90! Some of the voices are weird, but I like some of them but Prince Kamehame is one of the one's that annoyed me the most.
Robin Mask is Scottish instead of English and Buffaloman is Russian instead of Spanish. The dub is terrible

Kamehame (or in this case, Prince Lou Ow) has the Aussie accent probably due to 4Kids not having anyone on staff that can do a convincing Hawaiian accent.
@@legalam Actually, in the first few episodes of the dub, Buffaloman had a Spanish accent; done by David Moo. When Moo was unavailable, Dan Green was brought in to make Buffaloman Russian because Cold War.

Hey, ever thought doing the intros again, with most of the characters in their alternate colors? They look like their old colors from "Ultimate Muscle". I mean, I'd love to see Neptuneman, in green, meet with Robin Mask, fully blue, liks in the old anime. Even Warsman would have his red eyes, just like that. Or with Big Budo in blue, and not green.
But either way, I'll like it, no matter what.

Street Scrapper, original name "The Quarreler" was the first alias of Neptune Man. He later became Neptune Man when he was recruited by Neptune King(Big the Budo).
The reasoning for Neptune King recruiting him was expanded upon in a recent match in Kinnikuman Resurrection if anyone is interested.
Geronimo's "assimilation" to Beetlebomb is pretty much the worst that 4kids did to any of the choujins, aside from making King Muscle sound like an old geezer.
I love the game... But I hated the English Dub of the Kinnikuman anime because 4kids fuck'd up everything.

I heard the Gamecube one had a Create-A-Wrestler option. That would've been awesome here. Too many characters in this one and not enough space left in the game itself because of it, I guess.

Yeah the create was pretty awesome. Your moveset depend on the type of traits you gave them, but your level 3 special you could pick. Also the black outline on the characters looked good and I was pretty sure you could turn people around to after a front grapple to get back specials off easier.
