Wagner 995 was very easy to set up, use and clean. My hubby tried it initially and thought it was useless as it was dribbling out of the spray nozzle and also spraying all over the place. He couldn’t get an even amount out. He was sure he had set it up perfectly but he hadn’t...the small red ring that sits inside the nozzle was upside down. Fixing this made a huge difference. Having previously renovated 2 homes using rollers and brushes this was much much easier. I sprayed an entire 3 bedroom house incl ceilings hall lounge kitchen and dining. Some dribble under window sill in first room due to me moving too slowly nd having too much paint coming out. Should have practiced more before. Anyway I highly recommend this machine. I also rec wearing a shower cap and goggles when doing the ceiling and place drop sheets everywhere as a fine film does float in the air...

I brought one of these units about a month ago and this is one of the best time saving tools i have ever paid for. The setup does take possibly 2 minutes longer than pouring paint into a tray for a roller but the actual painting is done in a fraction of the time in two passes. No second or third coat required. You will paint any surface at least 10 x faster with this unit, no joke. If you are making a mess you haven't set it up right. If you plan to paint more than one room it is worth the investment for the time you will save. Awesome!

Just want to say how useful I found this video - even though the model numbers shown are not current models, it seems the W985 is very similar to the current W950.
From 3:25 onwards, seeing (and hearing) the set-up and painting process was very useful to me in making my decision to purchase the W950 from Bunnings (NZ). I wondered how loud the machine was, how many adjustments there were, etc. and your video made it clear, no-nonsense.
Although the other Wagner videos are more glamorous and typically Germanic in their phrasing and optimism, I found your video the most useful; showing the setup and use, and even the cleaning - which convinced me to go for this product. Well done!
Brought the W985E today.
My first thought was : Why did i buy it that late ?
My second thought was : Best tool i ever brought !

I would recommend a simple video on putting the sprayer together when you first buy it. Reading the instruction manual is a little painful having to look at various pages to figure it out. It would be a lot easier if the guy in the video above showed us how. :-)

great product- does it consume more paint that rollers/brush method?
It really depends on the surface and/or material being sprayed. You should be able to achieve the same coverage (on standard plasterboard internal walls) as two rolled coats with just one sprayed coat, using the same amount of paint.

I would have enjoyed it more if the sound was better. I find that true with too many how to vedios. Maybe diy can put the word out about turning up the volume alittle thanks
You need to go into your computer at the bottom for the sound icon and turn it up that way as it's the sound in your computer u have to adjust

Unless you are doing an incredible amount of painting I don`t know why a homeowner would buy this tool.
It`s probably a few hundred bucks and if you buy some nice rollers and a 5 gallon bucket with a screen you
can knock out a lot of walls.Also most sprayed on walls need to be back rolled anyway.

1 yr ago I was informed by Bunnings to purchase a Wagner867e machine, to do my kitchen cabinets. My cabinets are brown stained only 5yrs old and solid wood. But I have so many to do, I thought I'd get a spray gun. I am 63 yr old female and have been hand painting furniture for my own benefit for 40yrs. So on purchase of the spray gun, I thought I'd try it on outdoor furniture. All it did was splatter everywhere. All the demo videos for this machine, is demonstrated on WALLS only???? Did Bunnings misinform me? Should I have purchased a different spray gun for furniture? I did ring Wagner for a demo, and was informed that Wagner was demonstrating the gun on a particular Sat IN Bunnings store.. It was a young girl and her father. Honestly their demo was splattering ever where. She had no clue. I had to tell them on many occassions to water the paint down. She kept insisting there was no need? I ended up walking out. My spray gun is still in the box and my Kitchen cupboards still need to be done???? I agree with Brian Chapman, for an easier demo on adjusting etc. Please help as I really would love to do my cupboards this spring.

only reason they splatter as you describe is if the wee hole the paint comes thru is slightly blocked either thru not straining your paint , or slightly drying paint build up at the exit side of the hole if a break in spraying in warmer weather , a tooth brush and small pot of water a quick clean inbetween shots , never had a problem with these cheaper units and use them far more often than my 2 graco proshots , even price a new unit into every job , been painting contractor for 30 years , love em , as for Bunnings staff in paint departments knowledge on spray painting hahaha most of em failed finger painting in kindy
I do not see a mask, is these so clean? because spray painting needs a mask for protecting the lungs,
It's a German company, so it's pronounced Vargner not Wagner.
you can do the same job with a roller by the time you have set this up to work that's if it dose in the first place. you could have had done the wall with the roller this is just a gimmick ! avoid
