In Feb. 2019 we bought our 1978 Gulfstar 50 with plans to refit for future full time cruising.

So I've watched 3 videos and my wife and I think you guys are crazy, LOL!!! We couldn't imagine travel in a boat with 4 kids you guys are amazing !! Please keep documenting your journey. I'd love to see it when you guys are finished. Is Mike retired now?
Ha ha - it was this or an RV! The sailboat was the real dream, though, so here we are!!! And, he's CLOSE! Hopefully when we aren't buried in boat work there will actually be time to put towards documenting what we're doing. We really hope to so that we have it for the kids to look back on one day.... right now, though, we are so busy just trying to work on the boat (we're on a bit of a deadline to finish!) that we hardly touch the camera.

Hi, yes she is! We totally gutted and then rebuilt her. She's a dream and we've been cruising on her full time since 2020!
