I was not sure if I kept the Hemisphere or go back to the original firmware. Your applet is a major incentive for keeping hemisphere. It is the best thing in Hemisphere. Thanks a lot !
DUDE, I flashed my O+C tonight with this firmware and have been absolutely enthralled with this app, this is fantastic! I’d love to see what other apps you can fit on there with Captain MIDI removed. Absolutely excellent, nice work.
Man ! ..... This is great, thanks so much. Just had this installed & patched to Erica Synths Bassline, thanks to your hard work. Your video is really helpful... so glad you made this and shared it !
this applet is truly great. the only thing I don't like about it is if you have two trigger inputs, then the note sequence gets reset or goes backwards. I have two oscillators that work well with other applets EXCEPT for this one. i wish the second trig input would quantize notes for a second oscillator.
Sorry for the third comment in 9 months, I’ve come a long way! I now have my own fork of Hemispheres with some new apps and improvements. I wanted to reach out about bringing TB-3P0 into my branch. I know it’s open source and all, but I figured it was polite to ask first!
@@logarhythm1 Thank you! I had already brought over your TM range, but I figured a whole app I didn't develop was a bit more worth reaching out about. Check my videos to see what I added in my fork! Also not sure if you saw but Synthdad just did a video on TB-3PO!
Hi, this is a great app! I'm having a weird issue where the trigger output from TB-3P0 creates a lot of noise from the Basimilus Iteritas, I think it might be to do with the the longer gates triggering it loads of times very quickly. Any ideas what might be the problem or how to fix it? Any help much appreciated
Hmm, I don't have a BI so I'm not sure what to expect from it, but TB-3P0 should be sending a lot of 3v gates varying from half of a clock pulse duration to 1.5x the duration, and sometimes sending 5v gates for accent steps, if that helps. Maybe try triggering the BI from a square wave oscillator in LFO mode and tweak its PWM to get different regular 'gate' durations, to see if you get similar results?
Is there any way to store / organize the seeds into presets for live usage? I’m extremely satisfied with this applet but there’s a lack of being able to make a selection of preset …. Than it’s like too much randomness before finding the ideal chain Awesome piece of geniuses
Not exactly, but the current seed is saved/restored when saving the Hemispheres applet state normally. The amount of storage afforded every Hemispheres applet is tiny so it's just enough to track the current seed and most of the parameter values and that's it. (Being able to enter and recall seeds at all is a step up from Turing Machines.) Anything that would store multiple seeds for recall in realtime would need claim storage space currently used by Hemisphere applets such as Enigma and the sequencers. It's probably a bit fiddly for live use but you could run TB-3PO on both hemispheres and DJ-switch between two save state seeds. Even with just one, it's designed to work with entering the 'next' sequence with the encoders, since it waits for a reset pulse to actually change the pattern. Hopefully just a few patterns could go a long way via parameter modulations.
Thanks! The only thing that's removed from the original Hemisphere Suite firmware to make space is Captain MIDI. There are a couple of tweaks to some of the Hemisphere App Applets, but it's just minor bugfix or preference changes: github.com/Logarhythm1/O_C-HemisphereSuite/wiki/Changes-to-stock-Hemisphere
Unfortunately, the teensy3 is being stretched to the limits of its flash storage even by stock Hemisphere Suite. So, it's necessary to cut existing features to add new ones for the most part!
@@logarhythm1 Ah that makes sense. I like you branch better, but am worried of it falling behind. I see it's 4 commits behind but just minor bug fixes. Do you intend to keep it up to date? Any other plans? Thanks for your contribution to modular music making!
There are two things in particular you can check: 1. Ensure that the pitch CV out is going directly into the CV control of an analogue-style oscillator with continuous pitch tracking (no internal quantization.) Then, listen to the raw oscillator output with no gate/filter for any pitch bending when you see the pitch bend symbol on the display (squiggly line.) You might have to try a few seeds/densities to get an obvious bend. 2. Ensure the gate out is hooked up directly to the amp/filter envelope you're using and that it's a full ADSR or otherwise has a sustain stage active. An A/D or A/R envelope won't hold the notes long enough unless the release is longer than a 16th note. From the manual: Gates emulate the TB-303 by going high for 50% of the detected clock rate, unless they have slide set. In this case they stay high through the next step, when an exponential, fixed-time glide to the next step's pitch is engaged. Good luck!
Hey! Jammed along with 0-coast, turing machine and some fx. It changes O_C into something I want to double in my rack! Keep up! My attempt here: soundcloud.com/reverbrick/reverbrick-modular-stresstests-4
This in key with my coffee machine
I've been jamming on this for the last four days and I haven't enjoyed Eurorack this much in... ever! Really fantastic Thank you!
Finally watched all the way through this and now I'm kicking myself for not installing this yet!! Excellent work!

This really is an essential addition to the Bassline :D Installed 10 minutes ago and I now have a permanent use for the left hemisphere.

If no slide and accent, why this sequencer give an acid touch?🙏🤙
Looks as though there's additional CV going to whatever it's hooked up to.
