@@DashGlitch thanks for the reply mate! I reckon switching firmware around is easy enough anyway, so i'll most likely dip my toe into both, starting with stock. Thanks again, and great video!
After watching most of your video (excellent stuff), I went and installed Hemisphere and started to have a look around. I have to say, I'm surprised that you are so excited about this firmware, yet you've not - if I understand correctly - really looked at the original firmware? Hemisphere's strength is that it can run as two apps. However, in comparison to what the original has (and does) is really more complex. As an example, in Hemisphere you have a couple of LFO apps, but very basic. In the original take a look at Quadraturia, a complex quad LFO with multiple shapes from very simple to very complex. Then, have a look at Piqued a quad envelope generator, which can be looped, and so used as an LFO too. Several sequencers (some using shift registers, others as note sequencers), all with the possibility to have multiple patterns, chained, looped etc. And the list goes on, you should take some time to have a look around. Anyhow, it's great to have the possibility of both apps, but to make it into an even better utility tool, it would be fantastic to be able to have both firmwares installed in the/a suite, and be able to choose (without reinstalling) one or the other.
I already wondered what this thing can do. I always see it in your streams and it looks really complicated. Seems like I was kinda right. Nice video though! Now I now how it's used and that its not my cup of tea.
I never used my µO_c with the apps I had too much menu, in the end you don't even understand what the hell you are doing. You convinced me to install hemisphere and basically have a powerfull usefull tool next to my disting EX.

@@DashGlitch Incredible, I need to test on my MK4 ! Do you know were I can find the files ? Thanks in advance !
@@KNHSynths I've made them using Vital VST :) I have some tutorials on my channel to get that sound, then you can render the samples and load them into Disting :) I also have preset packs to buy on my shopify page (link in description) to make it a bit easier
@@DashGlitch Cool, I'll have a look to your shop. I have 4 distink and 1 EX but I never used the wavetable VCO. It seems to be an error... Thanks for the video and the information !
very cool, I wondered if I'd do it in french, but I'm sort of lazy, even if I use this lil beast on almost every patch.
Why is this module so huge? The front panel space is not utilized well.
there's a micro version, but the micro tends to feel a bit squished imho, I have both actually but use the larger one for videos.
@@DashGlitch I would like to try the Plum-Audio OCP-X. Do you know this module? It seems to be an extended and four-part version of the Ornament&Crime? And its only 10 hp.
Some of the extended O_Cs don't work with hemispheres (firmware in this video), so make sure with the manufacturer before going that route.
looks like a better tool than es-disting
honest question: how is one supposed to remember all of this? i mean it's an insane amount of information that isn't really there to remind you later in a gig for example.
How does one remember to speak language? Repetition
i want to try this mode but I am buying a acid rain chainsaw soon to do polyphonic stuff and I need the original apps. might have to buy another o_c and a million attenuverters haha
Well, you can always get an OCP and only need 999,996 more attenuverters :p
Jesus! It’s a melody!
Cool 👍👍👍
nice video ......
can i be a noob and possibly a dumbass and ask whether hemisphere includes any original apps from the OG O_c? I still want a quad quantizer and acid curd. Thanks!
No sadly not
@@DashGlitch thanks for the reply mate!
More flexible than Disting EX? :> That thing has like a 100 algos by now and you get 2 distings! (at the price of 2 distings hehe in € and in HE).
I already wondered what this thing can do. I always see it in your streams and it looks really complicated. Seems like I was kinda right.
Nice video though! Now I now how it's used and that its not my cup of tea.
this is like a swimming pool full of little knowledge nuggets
I never used my µO_c with the apps I had too much menu, in the end you don't even understand what the hell you are doing. You convinced me to install hemisphere and basically have a powerfull usefull tool next to my disting EX.
👏🏾
The added background drone music is soooo distracting. It also make your voice harder to hear.
I thought modular people would overlook the drone considering 90% of music made on them is just drones 🤣
@@DashGlitch groucho: So, you got any kids?
female contestant: Yes, Groucho, I have eleven children.
groucho: Eleven?! Did you say eleven kids?
female contestant: Well, I love my husband.
groucho: Lady, I love my cigar but I take it out of my mouth once in a while.
