Hi Nigel, I'm wondering about your Porche restoration project. Have you gotten it going yet? I know you have other projects like the plant room and Large greenhouse project. You've shared with us in the past that you are clearly multi-fascited. I'm just wondering about some of your other interests.....
I love all of your ficus trees, and have been inspired (against my better judgment, TBH) to slowly increase my collection. I am not very good at the winter protection, and although we don't get snow, the frost is my nemesis with ficus. I would love to see a side-by-side photo of the trees after the previous pruning and after the current one. To give a better idea of what a 3 month progression on the tree looks like with the "extra" growth removed. I really loved the previous series on the root over temple, as I want to emulate one in my collection. Just need to build the temple first!
I really think you'll need to bite the bullet and move on from your soap and water, and use something stronger against the scale. Every year I watch you struggle against them, and watch some of the trees suffer for it. Timing wise, I think when you move the trees indoors spray them all with something like EndAll by Safers. Then use soap and water afterwards. I think it will really help get the scale under control a bit better.
Such a gnarly tree, Awesome! All squeaky clean and happy!
A nice cup of tea while relaxing to Ficus Friday. Cool tree.
Happy Saturday from the UK.
Ah the royal much needed treatment you given it for sure, and it turned out amazing as always.
Thanks Nigel for sharing with us bonsai fans.
It’s really pretty Nigel, the darn scales leave it alone 😊
Spa day indeed! Sharing creature comforts around. Noice.
Nice tree Nigel.
Hey Nigel, you gotta wash that black wall behind you some day! 😂
Love your videos!

What a lovely and completely satisfying day in the BZ neighborhood for your F. benjamina. Missed it is commonly known as weeping fig. Duh…
In the first couple seconds of this video, the outline of your hair perfectly matches the outline of the tree foliage.
Awesome!!
Scale scale everywhere!

A lot of growth in the 3 month! Looks much cleaner now that it is pruned
That's a cool spin table. Where did you get it from?

I hadn't heard about EndAll and just read that it's OMRI certified. Sounds like a good product.
There's a scale-specific nematode you can get.
I’ve tried soap and water for scale but I find need oil works much better wear gloves and smear oil all over leave and branches works great
show us how your baobabs look pls
Is it better to leave as many leaves on a ficus in the winter to soak up more sunshine ?
When are you gonna trim the bonsai on your head?
P.S. Just joking, love your hair :)
]]]] I have spray with moods too ]]
Lol!
👍
👍👍👍
👍👌
You trimmed trees but it seems like you forgot to trim your…hair 🙂✌🏼
Lol, there is no hope for my hair, it's a lost cause!!
Foist
Lovely but you really need to prune back the top of your own head 😂😂😂, not sure how you even think that hair is even right 😅
🤭
That tree has had a great growth season!
Fukien Ficus Friday!
