Hi I’m 13 years old and I want to run away because I ever since my now stepdad came into the picture my mother hasn’t been loving or mother figure in ways, she would threaten to hit me, yell at me for no reason such as for not wanting to wear something she wanted me to wear and to be honest before my step dad came into the picture my mother shown me love but had her hateful moments and I still talked to my dad but once my step dad came into the picture she forced me to delete my dads number because she didn’t want me talking to him and for the people who say talk to her about how I feel, I tried. My step dad bad mouths me all the time and my mom knows that, one time I heard him talk about me and I told my mom that I don’t like the way he talks about me and I don’t feel comfortable around him and she told me to be quiet and don’t talk about him like that as I cried because she won’t listen to me but I don’t know how to make a plan or even leave the house when she won’t even let me get a summer job. Also I tried so hard to be perfect but my siblings always got the good side of her and also she doesn’t like my dad at all (I’m the middle child and she hated my dad because he would never date her and I look just like him). Please comment if you can help me please.
That sounds very difficult. Maybe you can sleep by a relative or stay with your grandparents if that is possible. But because you are a minor things get a little difficult. My only advice to you is to do well at school and at the time you get a job save your money! And try to get hobbies and fun things to do in the meantime to not think about your mean family❤ and when the time is right and you live on your own you have a lot of things to be proud about like all the things you have accomplished in life. Remember that you are important ❤
Hlo mam!…i just watched ur video ..now I’m 22 …I’m a sikh girl!…and i want to move out from my home!…bcuz of my toxic family!.it feels like suffocating while living with them!!!..but sikh families do next level dramas whenever their daughters run away!!!…i just want to know that from u is if i run away from my home without telling them ..will they be able to get me back home either legally or illegally?…(im 22 years old!!)…can they ever get me back to home without my willingness???
Yeah, I'm running away for the sake of my mental health. My mom is a jehovah's witness very much a bible thumper. I'm a closeted nonbinary and bisexual. I don't trust coming out to my parents. They watch youtube videos of lgbt people like me and laugh and call us freaks. They're baby boomers they don't listen to reason. But first I need a job for money and a vehicle so I can take off. I want to be able to get away from toxic family and be myself out in the open for once and not have to be afraid to tell anyone who I am for once without worrying what my parents would do if they found out. There's no way they would let me transition under their roof so, saving money and getting a vehicle is the best way for me to get out then I can start transtiioning so fingers crossed
I hope u can get out soon, im planning on running away too. Im 24 and they treat me like a 14. They’re so strict and toxic and threatening to murder me.
How do you runaway without cops noticing you. Im 16 and dealing with a bunch of problems, my step dad literally hates my guts because i ain't his blood and since he got together with my mom she was never the same. I ain't allowed to do anything unless i go to school and the worse part is that they got people watching me in school to da point where i cant do anything. I love them but they hate me for no damn reason i tried talking to them but nothing works
I'm sorry. I'm sure you know this but if you do decide to run away....devise a solid plan for transportation, food, shelter, income, hygiene, education, etc. try to get a part time job to save up for if/when you leave, it'll keep you out of their sight and occupied. (motels are typically cheaper than hotels, maybe you can couchsurf or rent a room for a while, it may not be ideal but just something to consider). Keep a TIGHT lip about this. No one should really know about this. The 311 phone number (or self service number if there is a help desk online so you can avoid calling) can be used to inform authorities about your departure in nonemergencies. I would give them some of your information and tell them that you are not missing. Your parents may call for a search. If they ask, explain that you are running away in brief. Lastly, have copies of important documents with you. Social security cards, medical records, school transcripts, passports, birth certificates...I don't know you and I don't expect a response back but I wish the best for you.
I think her parents even turned her away from hindu religion cause like if you're parents are that crazy and strict anything they forced you to do and anything related to them might feel triggering. I was born in india and to me hindu culture and pujas, festivals are the most fun and beautiful thing ever. Hindu religion is so less restrictive, forgiving, very feminist (and a woman goddess is seen and worshipped as the most powerful than all gods) and no threats of hell that i just love participating in it. My parents never forced any thing religious on me and maybe that's why i enjoy it so much. And maybe she missed out on the fun cause Hinduism was forced on her.
You need to pack clothes, jackets, shoes, socks, underwear, and food and money and you need to turn off your location so u don't get tracked deactivate your tiktok account and do not tell anyone and tell your close bestie if she or he is gonna run away with u and then you need to find somewhere to go for a lil also pack blankets and then bring your charger and use a bike to ride away but if you are walking run as fast as u can and be careful bring toothpaste and toothbrush do u can brush your teeth and be careful if you are staying at a friends backyard don't be there to long because someone can find u and then also change your identity

It is running away from home if you live in a culture that is extremely restrictive regardless of the laws of the land you live in….. this is a very common situation in south Asian cultures … the power and control of the parents til the day they marry you off to someone you don’t know or like…. You have no life ….
I read some of the comments below and I came to a conclusion that running away from parents is not a good idea in some of the cases specially when you are thinking that idea when you are in teens. I know Indian parents are too pushy. They always think about their kids. They slog their life for their children. But only unbearable thing is their tiger paws…….! It’s like they are protecting the kids with those paws😂😂. Sorry if I hurt anyone but in some cases it reaches the kids to success and in some cases it’s not, specially in Islamic background
Your view is fine from your perspective no judgement here but I know many many Indian kids who do not like this so-called 'tiget paw'. This paw is basically VERY HIGH EXPECTATION set to prove to themselves and society that they are doing good parenting but there is no perfect parenting everywhere its flawed even in west I seen and met many westeners. I always say get to know yourself 'know thyself' in jesus word and once you do that. You know whats right for you and whats not. You are not burden by societal and parent expectation. There are adult who just not 'engineer' or 'doctor' or 'IAS' but still are doing great in life especially on humanity level and thats for me is most important. At the end, this is my view and yours is yours there is no right or wrong.

Still willing to run away, we have a team let's go together
Why not get a job n leave?
@@Chick0714 do you want to join us we are a team wanting to run away
@UmangSingh-zd5hy yup, but I want to leave my house with a job, tq 🔅
@@UmangSingh-zd5hy yes i wanted to
Yeah, I'm running away for the sake of my mental health.
@@user-oq1nt4li3r Omg we are in the same age but also we have in the common story for this one
Can we talk? I AM ABOUT TO RUN AWAY!! Please .. I wanna talk

Hey I’m 13 and I need to run away but since I’m so young idk where I can go
You need to pack clothes, jackets, shoes, socks, underwear, and food and money and you need to turn off your location so u don't get tracked deactivate your tiktok account and do not tell anyone and tell your close bestie if she or he is gonna run away with u and then you need to find somewhere to go for a lil also pack blankets and then bring your charger and use a bike to ride away but if you are walking run as fast as u can and be careful bring toothpaste and toothbrush do u can brush your teeth and be careful if you are staying at a friends backyard don't be there to long because someone can find u and then also change your identity

@@Im-Not-Leo Is it possible to run away with anyone, for example, from a non-European country? I'm from an African country and I really want to escape, but I don't want to do it alone. I just want to run away.

It's not called running away you were 18 so you got out legally
It is running away from home if you live in a culture that is extremely restrictive regardless of the laws of the land you live in….. this is a very common situation in south Asian cultures … the power and control of the parents til the day they marry you off to someone you don’t know or like…. You have no life ….
Have you read Rifqa Barry's book? Similar testimony ❤️ might be encouraging to read :)
