Finally I've been waiting for another wrestling timeline video. 1996 & 1997 is gonna be extremely interesting. 95 overall was a bad year for WWF but a successful Kickstart for WCW and ECW
I started a binge watching journey in January promising myself to watch most of all wwe and wcw content starting in 1995 and since then im at the year 2000 survivor series quite a experience watching this era.
It's clear that these can take a very long time to make. But I also hope that you continue to make these timeline videos. Love to see them for most of the early 2000s makes me very nostalgic. I started watching wrestling on July 4th, 2002 and I did not realize that until your timeline video. I knew it was somewhere in that year but I wasn't sure when until I remembered everything that you started talking about after that point
Sam, simple correction. Royce Gracie’s named is actually pronounced Hoyce! It’s a common mispronunciation across the board, even within the MMA community! 🤷🏼♂️ great vid and thank you for your hard work, the content is great as always!
I'm in a rush to get outside now, but I'm having this on in my background 😃 wrestling history is fascinating... especially the progress of women's wrestling
I really love these timeline videos you’re doing. I honestly hope you do 1993 and 1994. I know history books say that the first half of the 90s were terrible but they really weren’t. Yes there were some really stupid gimmicks in both companies but there was a lot of other good stuff from wrestlers like Sting, Bret Hart, Ron Simmons, HBK, Luger, Vader, Razor, Diesel, Undertaker , Owen Hart, Jerry Lawler, Tracy Smothers, Dirty Wh!te Boy, Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Rock and Roll Express, Steiner Bros, Yokozuna etc.
Thanks for this because 95 is a underrated year! Now I know business wasn’t all that great in all 3 companies but between Bret Hart, Undertaker, HBK, Goldust, and Mankind work in WWF, Sting, Flair, Savage, Pillaman, and Arn work in WCW and Raven, Shane Douglas, Austin and the introduction to Lucha in ECW 1995 was a great year far as what was on the tv in my opinion. Not everything was great but damn sure 100c better than what we seeing today
Krush was severely underrated. Especially when he turned heel in the mid 90s. Could have been a decent opponent for the Undertaker or a heel challenger to Diesel during his run in 94/95.
Wow! I never knew that Taker had a debut match in Pikeville, KY.? This place is so small and unknown, it's very rare to hear anything about my hometown.
I watched that UFC event live !!!! When Tank knocked out Matua (in an annihilating crushing fashion ) after the ref stoppage , Matua's arms and legs were sticking straight up in the air convulsing , and Tank mocks him doing the stiff arms like poor Matua was doing on the ground !!! What a bastard !!! HAHAHA !! Track it down if you havnt seen it !
ECW in 1995 was truly Revolutionary Ravens ECW Debut Ravens Feud with Tommy Dreamer is a classic that Chairshot @ ECW Heatwave 1995 is the craziest Chairshot I've ever seen I'd say ECW was 10X Better than WWF And WCW Combined sabu Returning @ November to remember 1995 was awesome that entire Feud with Taz was perfectly done Paul Heyman was a creative Genius in ECW.
1995 was simply the worst year in WWF history because their futile booking style and silly characters opened the door for competition to knock off the evil empire, and that's why WCW had the strength to sign all the alienated WWF guys turned off by the company continuous shortcomings. This reminds me a lot of what 2018 meant for WWE that ultimately led to AEW creation. History always repeats itself
I remember listening to Jim Ross' podcast grilling JR with him mentioning that there were too many wrestlers unwilling to lose matches because of how it would look in Japan.
I'm not sure if you forgot or just didn't want to mention it, but Bash at the Beach also had some footage taped after the show that would be used in an episode of Baywatch.
Ah Yeah! It's the Sheriff and once again he is the cool host with the most history than your local high school teacher, Sam Driver! Let's drive down memory lane with Timeline: 1995! ( My apologies again Sam! I was at work when i was watching and typing this! Stay Awesome good sir and please don't hate me for the R-Truth levels goof up!) Let's Ride Cowboys! Ya-Hoo!
This series is the best ! ... 1995, not so much....although I did have the pleasure of attending a house show that year and seeing the 5 star classic of a match that was Mantaur vs Man Mountain Rock,so there was that I guess
At that May 13th show in Boston, Rikishi was double-booked as Kwang and Fatu. Did he do that a lot? I wouldn't think big men would ever work more than one match in a night.
I went to my first ever pay-per-view in 1995 and it was SummerSlam I met Chris candido Tammy Bret Hart Rikishi Duke the dumpster droese and others a ladder matchbetween Shawn Michaels versus Razor Ramon
'Through hellfire and listerine' is my personal highlight here😂
What's hell. Fire and listener
Dude, looking at Minoru Suzuki in his 20’s is like looking at the arc of the covenant.
Great comment

Rocko Rock was my cousin. I love watching these and hearing y'all yell his name still! He ran Philly and Pauly's promotion lol
Thank you all for this! Favorite series. Know it takes a lot of research and time to do a video like this. Cultaholic is appreciated! 🙏🏽
Eddie Gilbert not making it to 40 still bums me out almost 30 years later
RIP
as someone who didnt watch wrestling in 1995, this was a great summary
I have said this before and will say it again, Sam has the perfect voice for voice overs
Finally I've been waiting for another wrestling timeline video. 1996 & 1997 is gonna be extremely interesting. 95 overall was a bad year for WWF but a successful Kickstart for WCW and ECW

Fantastic job on this video of Timeline 1995 Cultaholic. I can't wait to see Timeline 1996.

Awesomely well-researched video. Thank you for the time and effort.
Damn I was in 8th grade in 95. What a flashback. I remember alot of the WCW and WWE stuff. The long ago when dirt was just starting to get old. 😂
I was in year 9 (UK) remember being totally disheartened by WM 11. Absolute Dog 💩
Excellent addition to the series, and the channel!
1995: the only KotR thus far where the two schoolboys they hired to stand at the top of the stage are bigger wrestling legends than the winner
Thank you for this. Appreciate the work
*Please do 2003 next 🙏🏽. These are AMAZING.*
Love these videos. Great work , please do more ❤️
I really enjoyed this video. I’d love to see some timeline videos from the golden age of wrestling in the 80s. Those would be some interesting videos.
This is a great format. Please continue 🙏

Good big man for Bret to work against too. Bret always did best when he could build the story with himself at some clear disadvantage.
Royce is actually pronounced as "Hoyce" for anyone that is unfamiliar with the man.
These timelines are great....1989, 1984, 1990 and 1994 would be excellent
Damn Sam, you can do a good voiceover
