Proof positive these "old" muscle cars properly maintained/restored ride just as comfortably as the new B's. Nice "highway" ratio axle and I like the gas station stop reference ( I own both 396 and 454's). Best always to get an "authentication" from an expert before purchasing one of these beauties at today's prices.👍👍
Takes me back to 13 year old me going for a ride with my friend, with his soon to be brother in law had just bought a brand new 70 SS 454 after putting headers on it. Wicked ride ,when we got back the headers were glowing red and making that distinctive ticking sound as they cooled.

A new 66 SS 396 2 dr hdtp, 325hp, 4 speed and a 3.73 posi rear, a 64 w/modified 302 Z 28 motor, 4 spd and 66 GTO posi rear w/3.90 gears, and the car I have owned for almost 53 years, a rare 71 Chevelle Malibu 400 ragtop w/402ciBB, WR 4 speed and a 3.31 12 bolt posi rear. 32K miles. Motor on Chevelles !!!

In 1970 I had my one and only ride in my cousin's LS6 convertible. Within a year he'd totalled it, lucky to survive the wreck, and ended up transplanting the LS6 into a 1971 GTO.
Love these videos Patrick! Nice day here so I am going to get in mine and take it for a run this afternoon! Of all the cars in my collection my 70 Chevelle is the nicest one to drive. If I lived in a warmer climate I would drive it every day all year long.
Here's my LS6 Chevelle story. My best friend talked his mother into co-signing a loan for a new LS6 Chevelle, black with white stripes, M22 4.10 gears, white bench seats cowl induction, MSRP 4300 bucks. My friend is 17 years old and likes to cruise around while drinking beer. The first crash 4 months later caused 2500 dollars damage. He got the car back and 2 months later, the 2nd crash while drinking and driving, was 4500 dollars in damage and was totaled. It was a damn shame. Who'd a seen that coming? Well, everybody. What's shocking is that so many of these cars are still around since most of the original owners were kids just like my friend.
I had a 1970 SS Nova 427 copo all original I bought it for 125 bucks the guy I bought it from thought that the motor was blown,it was only a bad oil pump,it was super quick I mean jerk your ,💯💯👍👍😎
Should of titled the video I'm not going to show you my car but I can show you a video of the view you would see from the passenger seat if my Grandma was driving .... You really should of filmed a 360 walk around of the Car .... It could of been a complete mess of a rust bucket for all we know mixed painted body parts .. missing trunk lid ..no fenders dented roof who knows I would think you'd want to show off a Beautiful Car if you were Proud of it and not hide its appearance from the viewers Oh well searching for Beautiful 454 Chevelle's next LOL

Was he really beating on it when that happened? Every time I saw that happen,(glowing headers) , the timing was a little off

Jesus....My 70SS was built for the strip and had a 4:56 rear end. I could only cruise at 55-60 pushing 2600 RPM's on the highway.

Everywhere 3 minute traffic lights, driving is not fun anymore, poor fuel,no longer gasoline.
Sometimes, you have to wait for 2 lights in heavy traffic or a semi.
