I jad an Excalibur comic in the 90s with one of my absolute favorite looks for Nightcrawler. He had a buzz cut and a mustache and goatee. That mustache and goatee was always my favorite. Gave him that rakish, swashbuckling look that just seemed to fit him perfectly. In short, Nightcrawler's look on the cover of Excalibur #11 is one of my all time favorites.
I think Hasbro was using the card sets to make certain characters. That Wolverine in the Brown suit is coming. We do need another Wrecking crew. They should make it a boxed set. We need a new Psylocke, Chameleon, and Mephisto. Oh the wait time.

Marvel Universe Series 2 was my bread and butter. The design of the cards, the power level rankings, and the weapons of certain Marvel characters. I've got the whole set with some of the limited edition cards.
I really think a card line would be great with the lesser known characters, this would be a good way for them to push it. Then you could do the two packs for like arch enemies. This would almost make me want to buy two of characters so I can keep them in the box and open one. This has so much potential.
I really like the idea of Hasbro making evergreen Marvel Legends to keep on shelves. I think they're trying something similar with the A-level figures for Transformers. It's new collector-friendly.
Love those old card sets, I had a couple of the glossy Fleer versions. My wishlist for legends would be: Sabretooth classic version but sized like the latest, Great Lakes Avengers, Wrecking Crew updated, Absorbing Man and Titania.
As much as I hate to say it, I would love to get a few characters with this kind of box art, a deluxe version of these characters at the $40 price point. And, it would be a great way to re-release some characters on newer bodies.

The art on the majority of the cards are by some of my favorite artists of the 90s (Ron Lim, Mark Bagley, Arthur Adams) and for the most part are not just phoned in quick sketches but images I would love to have posters of. I completely agree with all of your suggestions and also want to say (if anyone at Hasbro is reading these)--as a Chinese American, I am completely fine with a classic Mandarin release and would not be offended or feel like it is perpetuating any stereotypes of my race/people.

I think the “x-factor” here is we need marvel legends in Art Adams art style. He did enough of the cards that we need figures based on his art. If NECA can give us Ken Mitchroney TMNT Archie figures, ML can give us Art Adams figures 🤞

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but Heroclix did make Mandarin's rings as 'items' in the game. They are sized so you can wear them, though they are a bit big. You can get all ten and look good. Vac metal and everything.
Someone turned me on those on Twitter and I've been checking. Some are easy to get, some are harder, but it's going to cost a bit to get them all. Still, they exist and I now have a mission...
This was awesome, can't say enough how engaging you made this video Robo. Plus, it was a fun insight into some characters and designs I'd never heard of, don't think I've heard of any Ghost Rider villains beyond the Orb and.. whoever was in the Nick Cage movies. Also I do not envy how much editing went into this and how many cards you had to cover, but at 17:29 and 22:57 I couldn't help but look over to my villains shelf and see Baron Zemo looking on displeased, DEFINITELY not in need of an update.
Some of the roleplay concepts I can see being very different like doc ock’s claws being like the grabbers, and with iron man being some costume with a yellow fabric suit with red plastic parts (like a Halloween costume)

I feel like we have yet to get a real definitive set of Marvel Legends Fantastic Four. I dunno what format those should take though. I'd want them in blue/white again, but different shade of blue from the F4 retro-card set, and the more t-shirt ringer-style collar on the suits. I'd ideally like the ability to have Reed, Sue and Johnny be either all powered down, all powered up, or in-between, which would kinda necessitate deluxe releases, practically 2-packs of one character. Thing can just be Thing, but maybe a new body sculpt with some different proportions to him, have some different expressions, hands, maybe fedora and soft goods trenchcoat for disguise? a Solid Sue and fully Invisible Sue, with some swappable transitioning parts and a measure of modularity between them? a regular costume Johnny with swappable neck/head, one regular Johnny, one flamed-on Torch, with some clip-on flame pieces for a partially flamed-on look like the Mezco Human Torch, then an updated pinless full flamed-on Human Torch with some new flame effect accessories? The big one I want is Reed going all-out with his powers. Have a neutral Reed, then have a fully stretched Reed, stretched body, stretched arms, stretched legs (maybe make the arms/legs bendy like Jada did with Dhalsim), maybe a few stretched neck pieces of different lengths, and of course, have the neutral and stretched Reed be modular with each other. I just really want a Reed Richards that really shows him demonstrating his powers, the bendy stretch-arms with the Walgreens one are cool, but I never got that one. The salad-fingers with subsequent ones just don't cut it. Just go nuts with it.
I have the fully stretched out Reed from years ago but it doesn't match any of the newer figures, would LOVE an update to all of them. I gotta think with FF movies on the horizon we'll get plenty of that.
They could do the flame around Human Torch's body in a similar way as they did the Phoenix Force backdrop, make it usable only in a flight/FLAME ON pose and attach it to Torch's back and vóila, you got a flame surrounded Johnny in a flight/FLAME ON pose just like the trading card.

Ooo, change up the Phoenix effect a bit, I like. One thing I thought of last night laying in bed, I always picture Rachel as kind of engulfed by the Phoenix, with the wings following her arm movements. Plug on parts with a base that holds the whole lower half of the figure would be neat too. But probably way more expensive than the Jean set. But I'd pay it, not going to lie.
I had the first 4 sets, plus the first 2 Marvel Masterpiece sets, and the first 2 X-Men card sets, and one of the Spider-Man card sets, can't remember which one, off the top of my head. But you should do the same with all of those, if you have them. :D
Seeing the new Ghost Rider figure next to his card just illustrates how tiny he is compared to how bulky he should be. I commented on their card opening video; with them pulling 3 Mordo cards, it really should tell them to get on a comic Mordo. The real question is: which card set is best? Personally, I love the look of Series II. Series I was good, but too many repeats of characters in different looks. Series III just had a lot of bad art, and I didn't like the card presentation. Series IV was all 9 card murals, not a fan. Series V had good art, a nice mix of individual cards, and murals, and was organized nicely. But I think, to release figures in, it's got be the Series II look
Would be good if they did more two packs. Hero/villain plus alter ego packs. Nemesis two packs, so green goblin Vs Spidey with different new accessories etc.
I always say If it has pins and/or single jointed (not baf due to limitations obviously) Then it needs an update Also I lowkey wish they’d bring back the EoV for $349 and used it as a made to order I’d get that in a second
I love this packaging but not putting the names of the powers is an odd miss. Without it the bars mean nothing. Could be Agility, could be Rizz. Who knows!

Y'know, Heroclix actually did make life-size prop-like Mandarin Rings. They're even wearable... depending on your finger size, that is.

They always tried to play the yellow parts of the Iron Man suit as a flexible metal anyway, I could go for cloth with armor on top.

Plug on parts with a base that holds the whole lower half of the figure would be neat too. But probably way more expensive than the Jean set. But I'd pay it, not going to lie.

I had the first 4 sets, plus the first 2 Marvel Masterpiece sets, and the first 2 X-Men card sets, and one of the Spider-Man card sets, can't remember which one, off the top of my head. But you should do the same with all of those, if you have them. :D
I was flipping through the rest last night, looks like I have Series 1, an X-Men set, and a Masterpiece set or two. It's hard to organize those.

I think I'll do Series I and then yeah, some Masterpieces. I only have one set I think. Oh, and an X-Men set.
Seeing the new Ghost Rider figure next to his card just illustrates how tiny he is compared to how bulky he should be.
I commented on their card opening video; with them pulling 3 Mordo cards, it really should tell them to get on a comic Mordo.
The real question is: which card set is best? Personally, I love the look of Series II. Series I was good, but too many repeats of characters in different looks. Series III just had a lot of bad art, and I didn't like the card presentation. Series IV was all 9 card murals, not a fan. Series V had good art, a nice mix of individual cards, and murals, and was organized nicely. But I think, to release figures in, it's got be the Series II look
I think I like Series II the best too. Followed by an X-Men set, then Series I.
Maybe Wonderman would work on the Captain Britain body
I'm going to be picky and say that seems a little big, heh.
Would be good if they did more two packs. Hero/villain plus alter ego packs. Nemesis two packs, so green goblin Vs Spidey with different new accessories etc.

I love this packaging but not putting the names of the powers is an odd miss. Without it the bars mean nothing. Could be Agility, could be Rizz. Who knows!
