Most of her fans have gone through all her early years, all those covers, so amazing as a young singer, so amazing as a person. Many of us, if not most, adopted her as though she was one of ours. And each time, though naturally mesmerized by her growing talent, we were also so very proud of each accomplishment along the way, so thankful she has the family she has, so lucky to still be around to partake in each new wonder she accomplishes. We understand how you feel.
As always, she conveys emotions like no other. She's the Caitlin Clark of the music industry, making it her own, changing it beyond what it has been, taking it to heights we have rarely seen. Hello A-Aron, I know you’ll get to them eventually, but I can hardly wait to see how you react to my favorite Angelina performances. I’ve been listening to Angelina almost daily for years, and nearly every time tears are shed. Others have mentioned it, and I agree, that at the age of ten there was a quantum leap both in the quality of Angelina’s tone and in her confidence, and the combination allowed for some astounding performances. You will see what I mean! My all-time Angelina performance is the “roof top” version of “Every Time We Say Goodbye.” It is so mellow it will melt your heart. And, over the years I’ve told many new Angelina fans, if you really want to know what Angelina is about, you have to watch her being interviewed by Anne Lindmo. The interview is easily found on U-tube. Again, I can hardly wait to hear your comments. The emotional impact never goes away, at least for me. At age 87 I feel very fortunate to have discovered Angelina, and consider my “Angelina experience” one of my greatest joys. When you’re 87, maybe you’ll look back and feel the same. I discovered her when she was 12, so I quickly got up to speed from 18 months to 12 yo by binging on her videos. But for the last 6 years I've watched her grow up into the beautiful young woman that she is now, in real time. Welcome to the current World of the greatest vocalist of all time!

What can I say, this is a new and fantastic live version of the song, with the wonderful echoes of the church that make it even more magical her voice, I would listen endlessly to her wonderful and powerful voice with that incredible low register of her and those wonderful progressions, I admire her fantastic musical sensitivity more and more, it seems impossible, but every song, simple or complex, which she rediscover becomes a new and splendid song. For me she is simply unique and with an incredible melodic perception. I think it's about 2 minutes and well, do you think she could handle an American classic like that, a Country song which crossed over and became, perhaps, the greatest American song of all time? When you get a chance give it a listen. PROUD? She is our daughter, grand daughter, great grand daughter and, yes, great, great grand daughter and nobody better mess with her.
They recently released a part-acapella version - which may be the same recording minus some of the instrumental sound - and it is even more beautiful... This was Toby's upload with some post-prod (added more strings). A couple of days ago AJ uploaded a raw video version that is partially acapella. I believe it to be their first cut, also by their reactions at the end. In Toby's version you'll notice she has more nuances throughout.

Just to let you know, the other co-writer of the song, BC Jean, was the first to sing the song as well as the person the song came from. The man that she was in love with had just broken up with her. Toby knew a good thing when he found it! He’s already collaborated with her on her original Bad Valentine (need to watch that next, get blown away even more!). Now they are working on more of her songs together. As an aside, one time when she is singing the words “if I were a boy”, the camera went from her bare foot up her bare leg-no, there’s no doubt she is NOT a boy! Don’t worry, all of the Angels feel like she’s our daughter, sister, relative. We feel really protective of her and are so thankful her family has taken on that role for her. At 6’1”, she could also easily be a Supermodel, but she would never desert her music. Love seeing how you are reacting to Angelina all grown up! Of course, her vocals still have years of growth ahead. Who can imagine it?
If you watch the videos on her archives channel which are of her at school, parties, singing….she becomes your child. And she is never acting poorly, always calm and loving. It is a life changing experience to follow her, even if you have children of your own. Often Grandma Mery is filming so AJ is looking at the viewer like she would view her grandma. She is an exceptional human being, so exceptional that she does not seem to be of this world. See the video where she is interviewed and teaches the interviewer to sing. When AJ goes from talking to singing it is a revelation. She is really young. But her voice is extraordinary. And her patience and personality are beautiful.

First, like many of us, it is not unusual to feel like she is a part of our family, even to feel like she is our child! This is especially true with us who have been following her ever move since she was 7/8 years old. You only have a few months of watching her grow up and every day or so you saw her advance both in size and maturity and also in amassing vocal growth! Between her posting of her music videos and Mery posting mostly short family type videos it honestly has seldom been more than a week or so between new videos! And by the time she was 10 or so there were at least 3-4 persons that all or part of them are friends of the family; and they were posting her music on a regular basics! For me, since March 10, 2014 (3 days after NGT aired her first audition) I have listened to her music virtually every day. For me, and I am sure many others, it has come to be like she was living in our houses and was a part of the family! With the love and warmth that just seems to always gush out of her, how can anyone not be in love with the person she is and always has been, and the voice she has! Ever since I went to her concert last September (when I first realized she was no longer a little girl but was rapidly becoming an adult) I have had a problem every time I see her in a photo or video! I get emotional every time because my old brain asks "what happened to the little 7 yo girl with very long stringy hair and teeth missing? Oh, and one other thing! I started watching her when she was about 8 and went back and watched everything she had produced then. Since then she has improved significantly each year even when you can't imagine she could get any better. These two songs released recently with Toby Gad are a step up even from the recent Los Vegas Concert. Toby and Angelena are a natural combo and I can hardly wait to see all that comes from the collaboration. If you look at the full body of Angelina's original music for any weaknesses they are in the musical composition, certainly not in the lyrics or vocals, and Toby seems to be the perfect person to be included in the writing.

I’ve been listening to Angelina almost daily for years, and nearly every time tears are shed. Others have mentioned it, and I agree, that at the age of ten there was a quantum leap both in the quality of Angelina’s tone and in her confidence, and the combination allowed for some astounding performances. You will see what I mean! My all-time Angelina performance is the “roof top” version of “Every Time We Say Goodbye.” It is so mellow it will melt your heart. And, over the years I’ve told many new Angelina fans, if you really want to know what Angelina is about, you have to watch her being interviewed by Anne Lindmo. The interview is easily found on U-tube. Again, I can hardly wait to hear your comments. The emotional impact never goes away, at least for me. At age 87 I feel very fortunate to have discovered Angelina, and consider my “Angelina experience” one of my greatest joys. When you’re 87, maybe you’ll look back and feel the same. What can I say, this is a new and fantastic live version of the song, with the wonderful echoes of the church that make it even more magical her voice, I would listen endlessly to her wonderful and powerful voice with that incredible low register of her and those wonderful progressions, I admire her fantastic musical sensitivity more and more, it seems impossible, but every song, simple or complex, which she rediscover becomes a new and splendid song. Thank you for a fantastic reaction. I have doubts about the song but there's no way you can fault Angelina's performance. She's just a superstar and can make any song resonate with the listener. While you're listening to today's Angelina, I can't recommend Bad Valentine highly enough. She co-wrote it with Toby Gad and think you'll like it! By the way, I feel the same way about Angelina - she's like a granddaughter who's all grown up now. I feel pride in seeing her grow.

I do feel the same as you. I am proud of her as my daughter. Beyonce version was ok, but this version i have listened over and over again and not getting tired of it. Toby knew a good thing when he found it! He’s already collaborated with her on her original Bad Valentine (need to watch that next, get blown away even more!). Now they are working on more of her songs together. As an aside, one time when she is singing the words “if I were a boy”, the camera went from her bare foot up her bare leg-no, there’s no doubt she is NOT a boy! Don’t worry, all of the Angels feel like she’s our daughter, sister, relative. We feel really protective of her and are so thankful her family has taken on that role for her. At 6’1”, she could also easily be a Supermodel, but she would never desert her music. Love seeing how you are reacting to Angelina all grown up! Of course, her vocals still have years of growth ahead. Who can imagine it?
I have a few favourite artists that I follow and listen to. But only one makes me feel both proud and protective, and that's our beautiful AJ...
If you watch the videos on her archives channel which are of her at school, parties, singing….she becomes your child. And she is never acting poorly, always calm and loving. It is a life changing experience to follow her, even if you have children of your own. Often Grandma Mery is filming so AJ is looking at the viewer like she would view her grandma. She is an exceptional human being, so exceptional that she does not seem to be of this world. See the video where she is interviewed and teaches the interviewer to sing. When AJ goes from talking to singing it is a revelation. She is really young. But her voice is extraordinary. And her patience and personality are beautiful.

First, like many of us, it is not unusual to feel like she is a part of our family, even to feel like she is our child! This is especially true with us who have been following her ever move since she was 7/8 years old. You only have a few months of watching her grow up and every day or so you saw her advance both in size and maturity and also in amassing vocal growth! Between her posting of her music videos and Mery posting mostly short family type videos it honestly has seldom been more than a week or so between new videos! And by the time she was 10 or so there were at least 3-4 persons that all or part of them are friends of the family; and they were posting her music on a regular basics! For me, since March 10, 2014 (3 days after NGT aired her first audition) I have listened to her music virtually every day. For me, and I am sure many others, it has come to be like she was living in our houses and was a part of the family! With the love and warmth that just seems to always gush out of her, how can anyone not be in love with the person she is and always has been, and the voice she has! Ever since I went to her concert last September (when I first realized she was no longer a little girl but was rapidly becoming an adult) I have had a problem every time I see her in a photo or video! I get emotional every time because my old brain asks "what happened to the little 7 yo girl with very long stringy hair and teeth missing? Oh, and one other thing! Damn Aaron, but every one of your videos seem to make me emotional!!🤣

Toby's Album Piano Diaries will be released on Friday. July 19th and it will include Angelina's version of If I Were a Boy - in addition - Angelina and Today are co-writing several songs - it is possible that an album just with their collaboration will be released in Sept 2024.
One of the songs has been released on TH-cam. It is called Bad Valentine, and is kinda the opposite of this one, but is arguably better.

Aron, I have followed Angelina's career from the beginning and I have had tears running down my face during her performances, Like a grandfather proud of his little granddaughter. I have been waiting for someone to bring back the sound of Jazz "Old School" style from back in the Day! God made my dreams along with other old Jazz lovers. Angelina Jordan is making the musical world right again.

I started watching her when she was about 8 and went back and watched everything she had produced then. Since then she has improved significantly each year even when you can't imagine she could get any better. These two songs released recently with Toby Gad are a step up even from the recent Los Vegas Concert. Toby and Angelena are a natural combo and I can hardly wait to see all that comes from the collaboration. If you look at the full body of Angelina's original music for any weaknesses they are in the musical composition, certainly not in the lyrics or vocals, and Toby seems to be the perfect person to be included in the writing.

Yes we all (,including you !) love her and are so proud of her. I'm 81 and so grateful for having been here this lovely girl's journey. Her heart is as huge as her gorgeous vocal talent and we cherish that.
I'm the same, 81 years (young) and I, too, am grateful the good Lord allowed me to be alive when Angelina and her prodigious vocal talent appeared...I listen to her every single day. I pray I may live another ten years to witness what she is and will become...she is already a living legend!
