Ok mate well I can't exactly tell you all of it but the game and certain aspects revolve around time manipulation. And there are certain points where you mess with the fabric of time itself.

I really like this re-imagining of Rachet. He's not an un-likable douche like was in the first game. And I like how they kept James Arnold Taylor as his voice. I honestly can't imagine anyone else voicing him.

It's much like Spyro. His asshole personality and annoying voice acting was what ruined him in the first game. So glad they made up for it in its sequels. The same occurred here.
+Chris Rivera I disagree. This Ratchet seems to fit the archetype of "Child's Hero" in that he's so hokey, ambitious, and naive to a fault. His original character was relatable. He met some guy who needed a hand, he got screwed over, realized that his idol wasn't who he thought they were... of course you'd be a pissed off douche!
To put it in as real world a scenario as I can think of: New Ratchet wants to hang with the cool kids, gets dumped on, comes out on top. Old Ratchet is just doing somebody a favor, gets screwed over, and as a result gets blinded by his rage and only afterwords realizes the gravity of the situation. Call me a cynic for thinking that pessimism and angry characters are more relatable, but he just seems more real that way. More real than the hero from EVERY FREAKING KIDS MOVIE FROM THE LAST TEN YEARS.
I guess my real issue is the demographic that they're marketing to.
He was relating Ratchet to Spyro in saying that they're both assholes.
+John Is Blessed only in ratchet and spyro 1. Though having played a significant portion of the new game. I can see why people think Ratchet has been lowered to some child hero stereotype rather than the badass we know and love. I'm still waiting for the conclusion to the future series and then they go and make this. Don't get me wrong, this game looks and feels incredible, but it seems to detach itself from some of the core elements of its predecessors by violating the canon. Like, qwarks film from crack in time is in this game, even though the events of that game take place several years after this. So in terms of canon, this game has slightly left me confused as it's supposed to be a different interpretation of ratchet 1 but messes with some other plot lines. The way I see it, what if Qwark being the idiot he is, used the great clock to never lose his fame in the first game and somehow didn't destroy the universe?
I can totally see Patrick Warburton voicing Quark.

Originally there were supposed to be another Space Ranger named Stig who was Elaris' love interest. He was in the script for a long time, he was removed due to the movie being to long. But there was a reference in Elaris' basement somewhere.

+zak loxray Actually, Neftin was explained to be a criminal from the past. There was even a prequel to Into the Nexus released for mobile called Before the Nexus. The movie is basically trying to build ground for the future games, which is why Nefarious is also in the movie.

one thing I'd be really interested in knowing if they are following the same storyline of all the other PS2 games with some changes and if they will be movie sequels aswell? Not bothered if the movie is a one off but it would be cool to have the other PS2 games with these new ideas cause that would just be awesome to see protopets, anglea and robotic Dr nefarious again

bruh its nuh It's actually doing really well so far. Probably because Sony are advertising it more than usual due to the film, and because a ton of TH-camrs (higher profile ones like theRadBrad) have been doing walkthroughs of it. Honestly at first I didn't want to see them do a 're-imagining' of the other games too, but I'd love to see Locked and Loaded/Going Commando and Up Your Arsenal get the same treatment.

They've had three female characters so far who've had this awkward referred to, but never confirmed emotional connection to Ratchet, and once with Clank. It just seem like a running gag in the series now,

The PS4 game borrows a lot of scenes from the movie, as well as including it's own original cutscenes.

i really dont like the bright eyes happy go lucky ratchet, i grew up with the first through to the third, and all of them had a biting undertone of adult humour that is lacking from the newer games and this movie, ratchet became a kind guy over time as his issues were resolved and he became more open to the friendship with clank. the turning point was probbably trying to find the lombaxes in the fourth game. but i really liked the loveable asshole from the first game. new ratchet is a pale shadow of the character he used to be.
