Yes! Was just wanting some short bread AND wanting to use new food processor I just received as a Christmas gift. What perfect timing! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.
Recently made Scottish shortbread adding chopped dried cranberries and pistachios to basic recipe. I make it by hand just squishing everything together. No need for an appliance when the butter is room temperature.
This recipe is exactly 💯 what I wanted to find and the ingredients and instructions seem so easy. Thinking about omitting the Almond Extract and adding finely ground Cashew Nuts into the dough for the nut flavor. Cashews go so good with Jam or Marmalade. Thinking I might make this later today! Perfect for a day like today when there's a strong chill in the air... Shortbread and a hot beverage of choice = pure comfy pleasure.
I like Harney & Sons Victorian London Fog tea-black & oolong teas with hints of vanilla, citrus and lavender. Sooooo delicious with steamed milk and a little sugar! I can’t wait to try this small batch shortbread!
Here's my recipe for oatmeal cookies. You can make one giant cookie or split it into 3-4 cookies.th-cam.com/video/nTqPP75ndoU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Ar97eVUFpaYPM_bL
I just put a batch in the oven. It's going to be so yummy with my tea this afternoon. Thank you for all these small batch recipes. I love to be able to indulge without having to make huge batches of sweets.
Great recipe! Three of my grandparents came from Great Britain, so shortbread was always a favorite in my family, too. Will be trying your recipe soon. Thank you.
???/Suggestion: I would love to see more small batch main dishes and/or side dishes that you may have. My 86 year old mama has really begun to have trouble cooking for herself, and especially coming up with smaller quantities to cook since it is just her. Would love to give her some recipes that I can help her cook.Thank you!
I'm not sure how your mom feels about rice, but one-pot rice cooker meals are just prep, and hands-off for cooking. There's multi-cooker type rice cooker's that can saute too. They can pretty much do everything except pressure cook. I got a small Aroma rice multi cooker pro from Walmart that was around $40 a few years ago and make giant pancakes, rice meals, soup... It works for a lot of things. It might be easier for her. Best wishes and many you all have a good new year. ❤
A small 1.5qt or 2qt Slow Cooker (like a smaller Crock Pot) is most helpful. Many of them have the keep warm function and some have the Safety Shut-off features if her memory is not as good as it used to be during younger years years. Get one with the On/Off Light and the Warm, Low, High settings. There's a ton of recipes for them... again designed for smaller portions made especially for the smaller Slow Cookers. I'm in my mid 70s (age) and ❤❤❤ mine.
These are great! Made my second batch today. Though i baked them a bit longer, for 25 minutes, the centers remain a bit chewy - which I'm actually enjoying.
@@LeighAnneWilkes Your video states that you're making "English" shortbread. Scotland being part of the United Kingdom doesn't make Scottish products "English".
Yes, more small batch recipes, please! Love shortbread!
I'm always working on new small batch recipes!
Thank you Leigh Anne! I love shortbread cookies. I’m 77 & live alone, so this is the perfect amount! Happy New Year! 🎉🎉🎉
You're most welcome! Hope you have a great year!
Love your recipes! I would like to request small batch rum balls.
That sounds delicious - I'll add it to my list!

I can't wait to make this! Thank you! Perfect little gift, too❤ i am thinking to use 😊orange extract?!?
Orange Extract 🍊 sounds like it would be so good 👍. Maybe a touch of fresh Shredded Coconut 🥥 Flakes added in or on the top would be AWESOME too.
That would be a delicious addition!

Oooohhhhh .... am thinking of doing this down the line .... luv shortbead ... Thankyou for doing up this 🤤😋
It's a great recipe! Hope you enjoy it.
@LeighAnneWilkes Thankyou 😁👌🫶
Would these be like the ones in the show Ted Lasso?
Yes, same type of shortbread.
Sometimes I use almond extract, for my fav flavor
Almond extract is my favorite.
Happy new year 🎉
Happy New Year to you as well!
is this british shortbread ! our family makes Swedish short bread with jam and icing its good except you make dents with the end of knife
This is an English/British style shortbread.
Shortbread goes well with a hot cup of coffee. Or hot chocolate.
Or hot tea.
@grlnexdoorable Yes! I forgot tea. Thanks!
I agree, it's the perfect treat for a cold day!
Aren't Walker Shortbreads a Scottish product?
It is but Scotland is part of the United Kingdom which also includes England and Wales.
Ok, I thought you said England earlier. No biggie :)

@@davidscottish Sorry - should have said British rather than English - either way, it's delicious.
How about Prime rib for one or two people 🤗Valentines Day request 😊
Buy small prime rib. Have butcher cut into 2 portion chunks. Cook. Slice. Freeze non cooked chunks for another day.
Sounds like a great idea.
💕💕
So yummy!!
