With the blue outward hound puzzle, you can level it up even more by also putting treats inside of the holes on the circular knobs! So after your dog moves the knob, moves the fin, gets the first treat, they can move the knob back and the treats will fall into the dish and they’ll have to move the knob again to get them!
Once I switched to adult food, I was no longer able to use kibble this way because it won’t fit in the hole! I’m gonna have to get creative and think of something else or break it down somehow.
@@britneylynn9878 Have you considered using an adult food that has smaller bits? I have a large dog (golden pyrenees) who hates the large bits of normal "large breed adult" food. We feed her Blue Buffalo or Taste of the Wild which both have smaller more "treat" sized bits. I am actually using it interspaced with treats for training.my new dog
My dog (11yrs) has always had one of us (usually mom) at home during the day so even though she sleeps most of the day we are there to play when she wants or to put her outside. I get married in 2 months and she will be moving with me and have significantly less time with one of us during the work day, plus we just brought home a year-ish "puppy" and I want to make sure he has plenty of mental stimulation from the get go both to head off bad behavior and for his health. I would say I have been an average dog owner, making sure she can go out to the store or park with me and is well behaved and loved, but I have been somewhat negligent in the mental side of things and want to do better. This video has given me good ideas, thank you
My Border Collie is smart enough to put his paw on something that he needs to be still. His name is Luke. Hes like 13 or so (full grown rescue straight from the streets, age is a guesstimation) but sharp as a tack. I think the year or so on the streets really made him smart. He hates bad weather though. Think somwthing bad happened to him in a storm 😢
I play "Find" with my dog. I lock him up, and hide treats around the house for him to find. When i release him I say "find" and he runs around the house tracking where the snacks are. I rest assured he finds every single one, he has a great time and stays busy for a while.
Although I still feed kibble for a few of my own reasons, my 4 mos old toy poodle Gucci eats in an interactive toys every meal. I learned about socializing a puppy a few weeks before his socialization period would end. When I put down my under socialized pup on the ground he was as confident as a well socialized pup! I tried to think how he was so confident. When I rewatched this video I heard Rachel say that this will help with shy or nervous dogs and BUILD UP THEIR CONFIDENCE. This is definetly the best choice I've made with Gucci. I can't thank you enough.
Thank you for all of the AMAZING things you share with us, Rachel💗!🙏🏽 You have helped me be a better dog mom for my beloved doggy and I truly thank you for that 💐. Many blessings to you and yours 😊
I have an extremely smart, female, miniature poodle, she masters games the second time that I show her. I feel like any of these plastic toys or even the mat (which I have) she gets bored after doing it a couple times. It's great to have a smart dog yet they need stronger enrichment. I create my own toys and games for her with paper towel rolls and make her really work for it. Tricks are also a plus for her, as she is eager to learn. Thank you for the ideas.
Ahh there’s so many great products you mentioned! I can’t express how grateful I am for the shop page you have. Also, I just want to add that I love Fin’s little snarl haha 🥰❤️
I am so glad I found your channel! You have such great ideas! My labradoodle LOVES her new snuffle and lick mats! They are already making a difference in our lives. I am so glad you demonstrated a few different puzzles. That helped me identify which one will work best for Daisy. Thanks!
I havnt given my new rescue beagle mix a plain bowl of food in weeks. I either give her a filled kong, food through a homemade or store bought brain game. But the best thing that tires her out is simple training with her food. I dont have a backyard, so it really pushes me to give her plenty of exercise. A nice long walk were she csn sniff and run afound id het fav thing. Love your videos has helped me do much
I saw your video on starting a raw diet documentation. Please post a follow up! I would love to see the update after switching to raw diet. I just got a rescue puppy and he has fleaky and itchy skin like yours and want to know if raw diet helped your dog. Thanks!
I am so amazed at the ability of mental stimulation to tire them out. I was walking my dog 1+ hours a day plus dog park plus tug of war, all in one day and it seemed to do little to tire her out. I started doing a simple “kibble under towel” mealtime and she’s happily snoring next to me. Previously an impossible feat. Can’t wait to try some of these out!
I’m getting a mini Australian Labradoodle puppy March 1st and your videos have been so awesome. I love your calm patient manner when training. I can’t wait to implement all your advice with my new puppy.
I’m getting a new doodle soon! How many different type of treats do you give your dog a day? I want my dog to be super healthy but I’m not sure what’s the appropriate amount of treats to give a dog in a day
I have the blue puzzle with orange drawers. It was great at first, but over time small pieces of plastic from the drawers started falling off from my dog trying to get them open when they were in the lock position. Just something to be aware of. Thanks for the recommendations! :)
Rachel !!!!! Oh my gosh this video is amazing 🤩 my parents finally agreed With adding 30 % raw into my dogs kibble and my 1 yr old dachshund is doing AMAZING 🤩!!!
How many slow feeders would you recommend having? I have 1 so far and I worry that it won’t be as engaging after awhile. I see so many people have a bunch, should I have more and be rotating different kinds more often?
On the rabbit treats, do they crumble if you break them up like the tripe does? My pup loves the tripe but she’s a tiny 4lb puppy and it’s a bit messy for now! Love your videos!! 💕
I truly love all your videos, I know about dogs, but girl you have taught me so much, keep up the great work. I have to Yorkies and buy a goldendoodle next week. Thank you so much for your hard work 💜
So I bought some bones for my dogs to help their teeth and for enjoyment, unfortunately now I can't get my puppy, almost 7 months , to come back !! He is out in the garden , if I try and go and get him he wants to play chase which he loves and I won't do, but it means I can't take the bone from him ! Not sure what to do ??
Rachel, I'd love to see how you feel about the Snoop dog toy/feeder. My service pupper in training loves hers for extending feeding time and working her brain to get food. It really helped when I needed a break from the ball of high energy that is my Standard Poodle girl. It's super easy to clean as well. Just picked up the tornado feeder toy for her today and she figured it out super quick. I'm going to need to level it up soon to keep her entertained. Lol
i have trouble finding the treats and these puzzles and toys, Everything that you d0 buy is so expenses, Are there any way to get free toys plus when you buy treats or other toys, i have watch all your shows and love each one, thank you so much Rachel,
These would be great for dry food feeding but you promote raw food. I don’t find too many options for making it more challenging to feed raw. Basically only lucky mats, slow feeders and kongs. No games. So how do you avoid the bowl twice a day with raw feeding.
I’m getting a pyredoodle puppy, and I work full time so I can’t stay home with her all the time to train her. What can I do for her to realize where designated pee spots are for her while I’m not home, but also train her to go outside and pee when I AM home?
Wait what? First puzzle is completely wrong. You have to put the treats in the knobs and cover the holes with the leafy things. Then they have to slide the knob with the treat over the hole so it releases the treat.

I have one just like this for my cat, and that's how we do it for him - because he figured it out a little too quickly!
I do this too!!!
So do i

I love older mutts!
Love the look of this sniffing mat - where can I get it?
First time seeing you're videos and I love them. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
❤️
Such a smart boy! ❤
Love this video and the treats used!!!!! Thank you for listing the link.

Thank you! Very helpful. Week 1 was a disaster for me but I'm better equipped now after watching your videos!!

The all green treat puzzle is super easy for there is not much in the way of challenge.

Where is the description? I can’t find it.
My dogs will definitely appreciate this!! I take them on walk to the park all the time but i worry when im at work
Where did you find the snuffle mat?
Your dog is beautiful
Do you have any recommendations for dogs that are not food-motivated?
Would you place raw food in any of these toys
Where do I find the descriptions from your video?
How many slow feeders would you recommend having? I have 1 so far and I worry that it won’t be as engaging after awhile. I see so many people have a bunch, should I have more and be rotating different kinds more often?

You can get some from thrift shops.
What if you have 2 older dogs and just got a new puppy? Do you have to give them each a toy?
Did I make the fleece mat?
What camera and lens do you use for your video?
Finnegan has grown up so fast!

She sometimes hand feeds, especially with little puppies, but generally they get fed twice a day (I believe) using the slow feeder
What is you’re word for release?
She tells him “at ease”
One of my dogs are 18 pounds

My dogs would flip that slow feeder over in a matter of seconds.
What an amazing video I’ve recently started #teamnodogbowl and I’m looking for more options so thank u!

Level 2 puzzle was destroyed and solved in 5 mins by my puppy😳
Nice, but expensive
Those rabbit treats aren't linked...you have a different brand on your site. Can you please at least give the brand name here?
Can you come train my puppy? PLEASE 🙏🏾
