Lee is a one off, it’s a shame he has never came out of retirement with a new show, he is a very much loved comedian & his show would sell out immediately!
I've seen Lee Evans live a few times and I always leave the stadium with a stomach ache from laughing so much. Everyone in the audience literally cried with laughter.
There was a short-lived sitcom he did with Steven O'Donnell (Spudgun from the sitcom Bottom) called 'So, What Now' - I thought it wasn't too bad really
Look, I'm going to give it to you as facts, and opinions, that will regard all of us Brits whether we like it or not. We have the best comedians on earth, with many styles, but, we will agree whether or not we want to, Lee Evans is our greatest of all time. His ability to use storyline, animation, facial expressions and sounds will make us weep tears of laughter. We may have our preferences in stand up comedy styles, but Lee is the one that puts that to bed, and makes us all cry with laughter. A poll will conclude, he is our GREATEST OF ALL TIME.
I'm British, and I have always found him unwatchable. I love comedy, and I could list 100 better stand-ups than Lee Evans. I first saw him in 1992 on The Jack Dee Show. He's still never made me laugh. Sweating isn't a talent.
Seen Al Murray live, he hands a guy in the audience cash and sends him out to the bar to buy his wife a drink, when he comes back Al has learnt a shitload about him and gets straight to work on him.
Hey King Boomer!! Came across your channel by chance. It's been hilarious watching you and Queen Boomer react to our British comedy, especially the father ted series! You are both so down to earth and genuine which is nice to see on you tube. Too many fake people. Didn't think I'd like the channel but I'm now hooked. Brilliant genuine entertainment. Love you guys. Much love and keep up the great work. ❤
When you rely on tips like they do in the US I think it forces servers to try so hard it sometimes is way over the top Now most restaurants insist on all tips being shared in the uk nobody gives a shit I always give a crafty tip without anyone seeing if I get good service and just say keep it to yourself
Lee has sadly retired, but is one of the best comedians still living (to me he's second only to the Big Yin Billy Connolly). you should check out Mousehunt, him and Nathan Lane are brilliant in it.
Also recommended this also as Lee is absolutely hilarious. He reminds me of an old American comedian called Jerry Lewis, he was very much like lee and how he acted too, maybe check him out and you'll see what i mean boomer as he is also hilarious. Another good British comedian is Ross Noble he is also hilarious too. 😂👌🏻
Yeah I'd check out some norman wisdom, he was brilliant and he had the same kind of energy as Lee has. Lots of people compare them and after you've watched norman you'll probably understand why. A cheeky chappy norman they loved him in Albania he was like superstar status there they love all his films he was a great comedian sorely missed. There must be clips of him on TH-cam. He made loads of films being bubbling but loveable. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
To be honest I see your comparison to Jim Carrey - both had similar backgrounds, family influence and both took to caricaturist approaches to outward expression in their acts...
How can he work so physically when everything is sticking to him because he's covered in sweat? He needs to start working in just shorts and a vest, for his own comfort, doesn'r he? Stay safe, folks.
Lee Evans is the number one example above all things in life that no matter how many times I have seen him, or how many times people tried to explain or get him accross to me... Still don't get it to this day. He's just a sweaty, hyper guy? But he's a very (presumably) happy, rich, and successful man, and I'm none of those things, so I'm sure my not liking him is a stab to his heart 😅
He sadly tried to commit suicide 6 times from what I read. He suffers with depression quite badly. Kinda reminds me of Robin Williams, very funny man but very sad.
need to learn to enjoy your time in the bathroom… not like that, but its a great place to hide from kids! Not so great when they can open doors - theres nothing like being joined by the dog and kids and being told you’re smelly!
Outside of George Carlin the great, and Lenny Bruce, Richard prior, and possibly a few more. American comics and shows don't translate well in the UK. Seinfeld, Friends, Mary Tyler Moore show, Rhoda , Taxi, It's always Sunny in Philadelphia, King of Queens, Frazier, etc etc. A laugh a minute. No real life pathos, no showing of actual real life in comedic terms. Just industrial comedy with no soul. This doesn't fly in the UK.
Find the Lee Evans one where he breaks down in the car.
*SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT "NOW!" MEEEAAAANS!* 😩🤣
He reminds me of Norman Wisdom, a comedian from the 60's
Should be popular in Albania then.
@@HeeBeeGeeBee392 PITKIN!
No he doesn’t. You just heard someone say that in the last 15yrs and are parroting it like every other tedious bore.

lee evans' physical comedy adds so much to his act lol
I've seen Lee Evans live a few times and I always leave the stadium with a stomach ache from laughing so much. Everyone in the audience literally cried with laughter.
He was brilliantly hilarious alongsode Nathan Lane in Mousehunt! 😂
I watched that this evening for the first time in 20 years. Coincidence.
Lee Evans clips give me a lot of nostalgia used to watch all his stuff with my mate as a teenager
Lee is in my top 3 comedians, I wish he would do one more tour
He’s not even that funny
@@Mot8484No, you mean you don't find him that funny.
He doesn't write his own stuff apart from the "physical comedy" sections of his shows. Jack Dee used to write a lot of his stuff.
@@gavingiant6900 Same with you Sherlock…
@@Mot8484 Good, because I wasn't trying to be. Just pointing something out.
Do you remember him in the films Mouse hunt or the Fifth element?
Or "There's Something About Mary."
Also a film about the circus. Can't remember the name.
@@donalthurlow487 I believe that one was called 'Funnybones'; his dog was named Toast?
There was a short-lived sitcom he did with Steven O'Donnell (Spudgun from the sitcom Bottom) called 'So, What Now' - I thought it wasn't too bad really
I've seen him in a few comedy kids films but his performance in Freeze Frame gave me chills, he could have been a great actor
This was so nostalgic!
I love Lee Evans' sets 😂
Saw Lee Evans live in Belfast ten years ago, never laughed so much in my life. My ribs are still hurting.
Saw Lee a couple of times and he was absolutely hilarious. Met him afterwards and he's such a humble guy and almost shy.
Lee Evans Parcel Force is one of my favourite bits ever
I saw Lee Evans live and got a headache from laughing so much. At one point I nearly couldn't breath. The funniest stand-up I have ever seen.

As a Brit I can say he's certainly not our greatest of all time. Never found him remotely funny and wouldn't make a top 50.
Do you remember him as one of the main characters in There's Something About Mary?
💜Comedy royalty
Everytime I pass a TGI Fridays I think of Lee Evans’ impression of them 😂😂
Have a similar thing with *PAR-CEL FORCE*
4:08 the face he pulls still gets me to this day 🤣
You need to do some of his 'Live in Scotland' show. Its hilarious. Try the clip 'getting home from the pub drunk'😂
If you can find it he did a movie with Kathy Burke in 2001 called the Martins.
I think Lee Evans has a touch of the comic actors Jerry Lewis and Norman Wisdom.
He said Norman Wisdom was one of his heroes.
I think stealing an entire act is more than 'a touch of'.
"Man of many talents". You haven't even seen him perform his songs after his shows.
Please do more lee evens. Been waiting ages for more lee evans ... But more recent ones 😊
Lee Evan’s was in something about Mary 😂
Seen Al Murray live, he hands a guy in the audience cash and sends him out to the bar to buy his wife a drink, when he comes back Al has learnt a shitload about him and gets straight to work on him.
Once had the pleasure of meeting and cooking for him. He is genuinely the nicest man.
His stand up is very funny and a great actor a very shy man he is in the movie There's Something About Mary
