Love a good cassette show. Live after Death i hope to find on cassette, and great to see some classic Ratt.
Have a good holiday James🎅🤘
Ratt are definitely one of my favourite Glam era bands and Live After Death is essential. Cheers Keith, hope you're enjoying your holiday too
Great update James. Do have Live After Death on tape, but mine are separate. Enjoy the holidays. Cheers. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Cheers Roger. Enjoy your holidays too mate. Live After Death is essential isn't it
Great update there James. All essential albums for any metal tape collection. Hopefully they all sound ok after all these years.
On the whole the tapes play well mate thankfully. Glad to add these bangers to the collection. Thanks mate
This makes me want to play Shenmue again and collect all the cassette tapes. Love this!
Gotta love picking up classics like these on cassette. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers
Merry Christmas James. Excellent pick ups on cassette. Gotta love Chaos AD and Pantera. Cheers mate
Yeah those 2 are absolute, classics mate. Cheers as always Mark and enjoy your holidays too fella
Just subscribed mate - I love my old school DM, thrash grind and BM - also love collecting all 3 formats !
Thanks for subscribing fella. Yeah some classics you just gotta have on all 3 formats. Cheers
Always love seeing videos featuring good ol’ cassette tapes! I’ve said it before… but the nostalgia is strong & anything that helps me keep feeling young… I’m all for it, lol! Great additions to the collection there mate!🤘🏻
Gotta love a bit of cassette nostalgia Marc, really pleased with these pick ups. Cheers mate 👍
Hi James!!! Great cassette update, all classics and killer stuff. Love me some Ratt one of my favorite bands from the L.A. 80's sound along with Dokken, i still need to get Detonator and the Ep. That Skid Row debut has to be one of the best ones from that era, have it on Lp and the second on tape.....Down here Maiden's "LAD" was released on two separted cassettes, not a fat one, still have mine and a OG Piece of Mind with all the tittles translated to spanish..... cheers and be well
Dokken and Ratt are definitely some of my favourite's from the 80's Glam scene mate. That Skid Row debut is excellent. Cheers Cristian
I love these period cassettes, I still use them when I leave the house, I don't listen to music any other way than in the early 90s, i.e. from my Walkman, which still plays great. Great update James, I watched this with great interest. Take care, happy New Year.
Cheers Fozzie. Happy New year to you too mate
It's very nice to see hard rock, metal and thrash cassette collections on youtube, thanks! The fine print is generally okay with teens' eyes, but can't read it today. I started collecting exclusively in CD starting in 1988, and the print is (sometimes) bigger and better. I'm glad these old bands are still recording new music, including Metallica, Megadeth, Ozzy, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden . . Joan Jett, Deep Purple Jethro Tull, the Rolling Stones, Dolly Parton (Rockstar). One complaint about the old bands is Aerosmiths failure again, starting after they released I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing, their only number one single (an soulful emasculine ballad). My favorite band of all time, I was so disappointed that they stopped rockin' and their final album Music From Another Dimension, despite not having a drop of testosterone in the music, also had pages and pages of CD liner notes all with the tiniest font I've ever seen. Don't they realize a lot of their fines can't read that anymore? That was back in 2012, so disappointed Aerosmith can't seem to muster a new album, or anything even bordering being macho anymore
It's cool to pick up these classics on cassette. But yeah, no way can I read the lyrics these days. Cheers for watching fella 👍
THANKS :-) @@mrboulder9714
I totally agree that Detonator is highly underrated and is probably one of my favourite Ratt albums. Great cassette finds mate 🤘Merry Christmas 🎄
Detonator is a beast mate. Merry Christmas to you and your family Brendan. Have a good one fella 👍
I love the tapes! Merry Christmas Mr B
Gotta love the tapes Anthony. Hope you guys have a great Christmas mate 🎄
Plenty of good stuff on show here, dude. Classics from Metallica, Maiden, Megadeth, Pantera and Sepultura. I know Chaos AD is where a lot of people fell off with Sepultura, but I absolutely LOVE it. Full of bangers!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
🌲🎁🤘🎅🤘🎁🌲
Cheers! 🤘
Cheers Simon. Yeah I'm really happy to grab some of these classics on tape. Yeah Chaos AD is great, different but an absolute danger. Merry Christmas mate, have a good one 👍
Lots of great ones here mate. Your thoughts on 7800 are exactly what mine are. Have a good Christmas James 🤘
Cheers Mike. Yeah, I don't understand the bands dislike of 7800 Farenheit either, great album. Have a great Christmas too mate
Merry Christmas to you and yours James! Dig that Chaos AD, have not seen that on cassette in years, Live After Death is killer of course, Piece of Mind. Enjoyed seeing those Ratt cassettes. And absolutely love that Megadeth album as well sorta chatted about on my instragram post of that album weeks ago. Great update!
Cheers as always Steve my friend. Yep I'm really happy to pick up these classics on tape. Chaos AD and So Far So Good So What are indeed excellent albums. Ratt is definitely one of my favourite Glam era bands. Hope you and yours have a great Christmas mate
Metallica with the $5.98 was my first vinyl that I got by them. Megadeth with so far so good what. My favourite album by them. Cowboys from hell. An album that will never be beaten. And as we all know that Pantera saved the 90's. Piece of mind and live after death. Two of the best art work from derek
Pantera were definitely the most important Metal band of the 90's. Excellentaiden artworks from Derek Riggs. Cheers for watching fella
Your welcome @@mrboulder9714
I think so far , so good is one of their most thrashiest and definitely in my top 4 megadeth albums
Live after death , bought this around 87 and loved it hearing dickenson’s vocals compared to Paul dianno’s
Possible suggestion, death album ranking ?
Yeah So Far So Good is an underrated Thrash classic. I have done a Death album ranking already fell. Cheers for watching as always fella
Oh yes, I remember now 😂
@@Dm-ui1fi 😅
Totally agree with you on Detonator, Warren DeMartini has such a great tone & those dual leads with Robin are so good! I’m wondering if Iron Maiden is going release some sort of Piece Of Mind 40th. Merry Christmas to you & your family 🤘
Detonator is such a great album, if it came out in 87 it would have sold huge amounts. A 40th anniversary of Peice of Mind would be excellent. Thanks Darcy, hope you and your family have a great Christmas too mate. Cheers
Only time i got cassettes was to tape the various band sessions and concerts off of The Friday Rock Show etc.. oh and getting my mates to tape albums, so i could try before i bought it... or not. ooops, I do have a 'proper' cassette, Nazareth - Expect No Mercy, i didn't buy it so i must have borrowed it and never gave it back.
I remember taping stuff from The Friday Rick show years ago, great memories. Thanks Neil 😊
