never understood peoples love and attention for this one over top of the star soldier trilogy on the same console. i'm sure it's simply because blazinglazers was the most widely distributed shooter for turbografx16. it's a boring "gimme" babies first shooter on normal difficulty.

The sound and visual effects are amazing even to this day. Very satisfying
so cute how the last boss presented itself as a big woman hologram, like "imma beat this little ship and look great doing it!"
Or maybe it tried to exploit a possible big women weakness of the pilot

Aleste. I only played a teeny bit of BL at a friend's house but owned Super Aleste (Space Megaforce) on SNES.

Such an odd final boss, also more odd is that the final form looks weaker than the first 2 phases for some reason.
