Hi Friends, I am Anshul Tiwari, and welcome to our youtube channel ITkFunde.
    More about this video -
In this video I would like to answer this common query I get from time to time from youngsters or people who are new to I.T. industry. Which career option is better for development or support?
So I thought of sharing my perspective on this, having worked in I.T. for the last 15 years and switching back and forth between dev and support. So in this video, I have tried sharing 9 key points which might help you understand the differences, goods, and bad of these two areas.
This is not career advice as you know better what you are looking for and whether any role suits your aspiration however this will definitely help you make a wiser decision in case you get into this famous dilemma of choosing between development and support.
I have not made much of these videos on career guidance so if you like me to share more of such content do let me know through your likes and comments.

I had experience in both dev and support.. I prefer support as its absolutely challenging. I developed problem solving skills and expertise in domain knowledge. You also improve your communication skills as you suppose to work with diverse clients. It actually gives you a way to handle your real life issues with a strategy and live ur life with confidence.

I prefer support/operations than development. Development can be extremely painful as you can find yourself banging your head for hours to find the bugs in the code. Whereas, in support you do more hands-on work.

I have experience in both Development and Support. The information here is very true. For me I prefer development because I like regularity and clear timelines. I like my schedules planned out so I can do other stuff. And I like going deeper and focusing on specific technologies.
With Support, depending on your team and company, you can also plan out your schedule. Sometimes its also difficult to work with people especially if you are on a customer-facing project.

Try to do some hands on project, start on excel u dont need to jump on advanced concepts just get comfortable analyzing data first

For example full stack web development is hard u have to know a lot for u to create a professional looking website or web app.
