Botswana gets over 80% of the profits from its diamond, copper, and other natural resources. Ghanaians should write their own contracts. Don't be like Liberia that signed a contract with ExxonMobil, which was written by ExxonMobil. It is the case with most of those foreign contracts. The foreign corporation writes the contract, presents it to the government, and the government officials sign the contract. This is how they get fleeced. A Nigerian lady did a TED talk on how one world bank official claims it is easier to do business with the Africans because they don't read the contracts. All they do is signed making his job easy.
The official told her that the southeast Asians give them a lot of problems because they scrutinize every contract crossing out anything the found to be negative out of the contract before signing.

That house is amazing. All the government has to do is build, hire to ppl and recycle the same money that's it. Build apartments for all levels of ppl low income and high, create a banking system give loans to ppl who want to own property because once you employ the ppl the money will recycle itself

Very truthful statements by the brother here. I wish Africa would take the suppression of corruption and illicit enrichment seriously. You can't build serious countries through rampant corruption.

He is very correct. We have to products, but we refuse to add value to it. Oil but no state own refinery, cocoa and no chocolate factory, instead buying milo, ovaltine and hershey product. Just a few examples. We need to learn how to refine a product and add value to them👍🏿👌🏿

A high school dropout whiteman can come to Africa make deals with our people that have doctorate degrees and negotiate a 93%-7% in favour of them

I am a Petroleum engineer and I understand how the business works and moreover I worked as an intern at the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).The oil business is expensive so usually companies come together as partners to work on a particular project(explore, discover, develop and produce).Your initial investment will ultimately determine your percentage returns. So basically if you invest less, you earn less and I’m sorry but that’s how it works.GNPC is enjoying the 10% partnership deal because it backed by law to for any company who intend to invest in the upstream oil sector to partner GNPC.In reference to what the elder said, Eni does not hold 90% but 44.44% of the offshore OCTP field,MODEC holds 35.56 percentage and GNPC holds 20 percentage. There are other fields like Jubilee field where GNPC hold 13.6%, UK based oil company Tullow oil holds 35.5%, US based oil companies,Anadarko and Kosmos, holding 24.1% and South African company PetroSA owning 2.7%.Currently all oil activities are ongoing offshore only but GNPC still needs experience and expertise and the right technology in order to take full control of the oil basin onshore and it comes with GNPC investing in the prospects. These foreign companies are Winning because their longevity in the oil industry, technologies and expertise.

Nobody controls Ghana resources we lack productivity ideas . So yes you will end up selling it out to potential buyers . Until Africa become industrialized our only option is selling. Every nation sells their resource for value . You benefit more from your resources when you have an industrialized country. it’s the reality not a propaganda . You can’t control any resources if you are not industrialized .

Radaryn Washington can we be real for a second what has diplomatic transactions got to do with sellout bro ? Do you even understand how things work ? Mention one country that got financially powerful without investors and industrialization. America is all built on industry , they don’t have the natural resource but they have a big Human Resource when it comes to Africa we lack both . We don’t have good human resource and we don’t have industries .until we get that fixed nothing can be done . The true African revolution can only be achieved if Africa produces enough to feed itself and then monetize the rest by selling to other nations .

lol taxation is such a funny and sad system. *but* it is what it is. :) ... hmmm, why not just provide renewable energy, standard housing (sans rampant, entropic development) and agricultural/building/engineering education from the top down? then just tax any outside nation, corporation or individual at rates with the ability to level your wealth with theirs? (ie. competitive with suppliers in *their* homeland) i mean... the environment, land and resource reserves are all still in great condition, right? almost all of africa is the crowned jewel of global supply chain, right? *taxation comes from people who take whatever they please, then once they are satisfied - and their victims mortified - force others to give them anything else they want* (LAST POINT, I SWEAR) 16:03 how do our entire population seem not to see: the examples we idolize and use to justify our own intra-tribal crimes/blind eyes are the result of a far-reaching and highly successful piracy syndicate (the "West"). The wealth did not come from a democratic capitalism and graduated incentive programs, it came from rape and pillage. all violent crimes. lol but any who, *pulling a psuedoscientific concept out my armchair ass - any group wanting to be fully sovereign and sustainable might want to draw their own system up from the ground, after compiling enough information about the land they plan to fortify and occupy. a foreign tune is not writ to be sung on native tongues* (NO MORE TH-cam RANTS :))
