It is last true old fashion samsung ultra/note with curved edge and that lovely and gorgeous 10X optical zoom telephoto, have S23U i will try to keep it as long as i could
I totally agree. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is the last of the Samsung Galaxy S Ultra series that retains the curved display and the 10MP 10x Optical Telephoto Camera as well. It looks better than the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra too. I'll be keeping mine for as long as possible and will still keep it even after I upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy S28 Ultra in 2028, when my current device no longer receives software and security updates.
I too have the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. I bought it new right before the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra came out, back in October of 2023. Im so glad I chose to get it back when I did. I absolutely love and appreciate the fact this guy opens up by saying he's still not selling his Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and would rather give up the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra instead because of how special and timeless the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra really is. I love this phone and plan on keeping it for the entire duration of its lifespan meaning I won't be upgrading it until it receives its very last software and security update which will be in 2028. At that point in time ill upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy S28 Ultra, but still will never ever sell, trade, or give up my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The phone just means too much to me.
Im never letting my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra go. Not selling or trading etc. This has been hands down the best smartphone I've ever had and my entire experience with it has been flawless. Even when I do end up upgrading, after all of the software and security updates stop rolling out and the Samsung Galaxy S28 Ultra is here, I still will make sure I always keep my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
@ I feel that the S25 Ultra can be very much like the S23 U and I want to keep the S23U and sell the S24U and use the S25U as my main driver for a while. S23U with that curvy screen is not that bad, yes, I do like flat better, but if I sell it and keep S24U, S25U could be just the same phone with 8 elite and some fancy new AI tricks...
Some of the features will make it, some other ones won't. The isp is think is different and will improve some screen quality and camera quality according to some leaks.
@@tuurtaburco I now get better Antutu scores with the last update. Don't know how because it was even hotter when I tested. But honestly no update since launch made my S23U worse.
Yep. I remember when my s23 ultra used to get 10 hours on screen time but this was only when i never updated the phone. After 1 year i decided to start updating it and low and behold the battery started progressively getting worse. With the latest one ui 6.1 update its only getting 7 hours screen time The exact same thing with lag. There was very little lag until i started with the updates
@@fakenews3676 Mine is absolutely objectively a LOT better in terms of lag. Battery is the same, honestly it's never been anything to write about despite the positive indicial reviews.
I haven't received the January update 2025 for the s23 Ultra. Im still on the August 1 2024 update 6.1. It's the unlocked U.S version as well. I need help and I just replaced my phone at best buy. 😢
If they fix shutter lag (and other camera issues) on S25 series, there is no reason not to fix it all across supported devices. Still hardware capable, should work without single problem
I love my S23 Ultra contract phone. It is Samsung's best ever device in my opinion. It is now at the end of it's contract, and I own the thing. I can now add the S25 Ultra to my plan when it is introduced, and I will pay nothing extra. It is a no brainer for me. I can't wait to compare the two devices. I hear that the S25 Ultra has Log Video and improved low light video noise control, as well as a new 50Mp Ultrawide. What's not to like for a video nut like myself?.👍
The only real problem i have with the s23U is the battery protection features simply do not work. The options are basic, adaptive, and maximum protection but the only option that works is maximum. Ive tried basic and adaptive many, many times and it doesnt do anything. No changes at all. Does anyone know why this could be?
I sell my S23 U and keep S24 U,let's see if I buy S25 U at least for the test.. I'm guessing that 8 elite 2 is better in terms of power consumption, OP13 is at least still bad, Or needs an update soon. In the cold it's downright bad. But let see Will I get the S25 U again immediately on 28th January 😅 it would be better to wait a while.
@iskiiwizz536 I have an s24 ultra and has no bandings. If it is in relation to the screen anti-reflection just use some screen protector for remove this.
I will be keeping my s23 ultra too

I really don't know if to let mine go....no problems with the phone and still if like new condition. Probably the last curved screen too...

Why did cut the video at 5:12 it was about jitter right?
Not here, but yes, it's there. And it's going to stay I guess with S25U and One UI 7... I hope I am wrong.
@VelianSpeaksTech 😭...man why is this inconsistency
I have s23 ultra and s24 ultra and for me s23 ultra is better!
Same
Can I ask why?

The S23 battery's performance is deteriorating with each subsequent software update
I know right. Have they improved it in this update. Last one was terrible

Samsung Galaxy S Ultra Series for life!!!

The shutter lag has been reduced on s23 ultra since one ui 6.1.1
what are they gonna advertise in order to get people to buy any s25 model if not a truly "lagless" camera system?
@@achacktestunknown534 nope. That's what they say but it's pretty much the same in reality.
@@popovicialincatalin you're right. Although they say that every single year. Then it's "wait for updates" and - those don't come
One UI 7 and AI... Maybe 8 Elite and that's it

Unlocked S23 ultra here in Canada still stuck on the November 2024 update.
I'll keep my S23 Ultra just because I don't see a reason to update; the only thing I dislike is the curved screen, but I won't update only for that.
I bet they didn't fix Speaker Issue caused by November Update yet??
