all these dress is iconic in my eyes, but again... CINDERELLA DRESS IS MY NO.1!!! It's magical moment for me when I see it at the cinema for the very first time. It's so magical and so stunning, and like the narrator said, ALL GIRLS DEFINITELY WANT TO HAVE THAT FANTASY!!! also that dress at 12:31 is also very stunning and absolutely eye treat! It's very reminding me the dress that Kate Winslet wear in Titanic when she going on board to the ship, but My fair lady version is like a haute couture ones.
Scarlett O'Hara's red dress with garnet embellishments or her green velvet curtain dress or her sprigged muslin Wilkes' barbecue dress from "Gone With The Wind," all could have been in your reveals.
Bette Davis as Charlotte Vale in Now Voyager. Quite a few wonderful reveals in this movie. My favorite: Meeting her relatives downstairs for dinner in that black gown. Stunning!
These movies were my life so I love all of them. The dress reveal parts were the best but I think Cruella should have been higher up cause the transformation from the cloak to the red dress was iconic.
Ella from the live action Cinderella (2015) is my favorite 😍 and I’m sad that Danielle from Ever After didn’t make it 😭 they teased it and it didn’t even make an honorable mention! Her wings and makeup really sold it ✨
I’m disappointed too! Drew looked stunning, and the wings were incredible! I can’t believe that dress didn’t even get an honourable mention. Though I might be a little biased as it is one of my all time favourite movies. The girl saves herself!
@@SD-ik1xf it at least deserved an honorable mention! It’s a beautiful retelling of Cinderella which is hard to do since there are soooo many of them! It was perfectly executed! I love the scene where she “takes what she can carry” including the prince 🤣 iconic
I really like your point about Andie's prom dress. While it DOES look like a hideous pink potato sack, and she ruined two perfectly good dresses, the most important aspect is that she "Didn't let anyone break her" or try to shame her for being poor.
*MY FAVORITES:* Cruella's Surprise Red Dress ("Cruella") Mia's Princess Gown ("The Princess Diaries") Tracy's New Look ("Hairspray") Hermione's Yule Ball Outfit ("Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire") Ella's Ball Gown ("Cinderella") Vivian's Red Ensemble ("Pretty Woman") Katniss Is the Girl on Fire ("The Hunger Games") The First Dress ("Miss Congeniality") Marisa's Cinderella Moment ("Maid in Manhattan") Danielle's "Breath" Dress ("Ever After")
@@盧璘壽로인수 actually I don't think of that movie as misogynistic at all. It's actually so empowering! It has a misogynistic character, Higgins, but the story isn't about him. It's about Eliza, a woman who is intelligent and ambitious and spunky and hopeful, it's her story of rising above her circumstances to create a better life for herself in a time and place where that was never considered. That is incredible! Higgins doesn't appreciate her, and he doesn't see who she truly is. But the story is showing Eliza as a hero, and paints Higgins as prejudiced and a little ridiculous.
@@estherhinds6314 I felt *uncomfortable the entire time* I watched it on Netflix, and only bore through all that just to watch the iconic Gavote Ascott and also the presentation scene as well
Aaaaah I love these dress reveals!!! My favorite has to be Ella's ballgown in the live action Cinderella!!! These moments are just all so magical!!! Also love Hermione's dress reveal!!
Exactly what I was thinking. Why the hell would you mention the dress from the first Hunger Games and not the mockingjay dress transformation from Caching Fire?
#9, #8, #4, #3, and "Sabrina's Party Look" are my favorites on this list. I also love Danielle's 'fairy' costume in "Ever After" and Belle's ballgown in the live-action "Beauty and the Beast".
I also think Barbara Streisand's gold sequin dress from Hello Dolly should be in here too. Talk about making an entrance. I know everybody loves her film Funny Girl, but for me Hello Dolly is my favourite. Asking with What's Up Doc.
@@盧璘壽로인수 I actually asked about the change during my Studio Tour visit last year and they confirmed my suspicion. The colour change was due to Emma's complexion not working well with the original periwinkle. I actually saw a render of the same dress in the book colour and I think they made the right choice (and I say this as someone who NEVER wears pink). She looked very washed out in the periwinkle version and it wouldn't have translated well on the screen 🤷♀️
@@mayarcher5832 seriously, anything but the imperial court gown (described by the imperial courtiers as "putting on armor") realistically Anastasia wouldn't have survived the encounter with Rasputin (at any point of the fight scene) by how heavy and cumbersome and tightly boned her dress would've been (normally made of velvet with gold embroidery and furs in winter, Grand Duchesses who were daughters of tsars were allowed cloth of silver)
Katniss Everdeen’s dress and Cinderella (2015) dress! Simply iconic!!! Just mysterious and magical! Cruella’s dress was my third favourite for it’s absolute stunning display and haute couture design ❤❤❤
You guys missed Emma Watson's as Belle in The yellow dress 👗!! THAT Disney's dress reveal is (& will ALWAYS be) my FAVORITE (& NOT just because yellow also happens to be favorite color 😉😅)!! 😍💛
Bette Davis in the Edith Head off the shoulder gown in All About Eve. Elizabeth Taylor in her golden "Entrance Into Rome" royal gown in Cleopatra. Vivien Leigh as Scarlett in her red "hussy" dress that Rhett makes her wear to Ashley's birthday party. Deborah Kerr as Anna in The King And I wearing a wide hoop skirted satin ballgown in the Shall We Dance number. Barbra Streisand coming down the grand staircase in her golden sparkly gown in Hello Dolly. Marilyn Monroe in the iconic pink satin dress during the Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend number in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
I chose dance as my elective in seventh grade. My teacher had my class watch Hairspray in her science classroom since she was too pregnant to teach. The ending where she does her big comeback song, is, and _always_ will be, my all-time favorite musical moment.
The red dress in Pretty Woman was just a dress she wore. The true dress reveal was the amazing black cocktail dress. Also, no Scarlett O'Hara'? Green picnic? Red birthday?
"She's All That": Rachel Leigh Cook's red dress as she walks down the stairs to Freddie Prince Jr. "Gone with the Wind": Scarlett's red dress for Melanie's party "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes": Marilyn's and Jane's dresses when entering the dining room on the ship.
Natalie Wood's first striptease dress in "Gypsy". Grace Kelley's golden ball gown in "To Catch a Thief". Michelle Pfeiffer's and Halle Berry's catsuits in each version of "Catwoman". Tony Curtis and Jack Lemon dressed as women in "Some Like It Hot". Andie's makeover in "The Devil Wears Prada". Cher's opera dress in "Moonstruck". And Sandy's outfit at the end of "Grease"!
My favorite (non-included) dress reveals are: Andie's yellow dress in How to Lose a Guy in 10 days and Grace Kelly's black and white dress in Rear Window.
Maid in Manhatten, gorgeous yellow gown, Cinderella blue gown that took 400 hours to make. I have all these DVD's. Not a fan of Audrey Hepburn. Never saw her in anything.
Love the list. But where was Vivian Leigh’s costumes for Gone with the Wind? Each one was a masterpiece and there is no question she looked stunning in them. Kudos to Walter Plunkett for his ingenious designs.
There's one dress reveal that you've missed. The dress reveals Fran Drescher in The Beautician and the Beast. That Belle-inspired off-the-shoulder yellow ballgown with tiara was breathtaking and several light years apart from the Flushing Queens native's typical style.
Speaking as a designer and daughter of a bridal specialist: Disappointed in at least half of these gowns. Especially Hermione’s gown (could have been soooooo much more magical) and the Pretty In Pink gown is only okay. Mis Congeniality’s dress is just a spandex sheath. But the gowns from The Hunger Games as OUTSTANDING!!! And so many gorgeous gowns not even mentioned from Gone With the Wind!!! After all, who could fail to be impressed by that gorgeous green ensemble made from velvet draperies? Her opening scene white and green gown for the picnic? Her beautiful black and white? Or even her blue dress with the perky little hat that she wore to the lumber mill office? And some of the outstanding gowns that Ginger Rogers wears while dancing with Fred - especially the one with the feathers? While I adore the princess gown from My Fair Lady, her most memorable is her Ascot Races black and white one with the amazing hat! Seriously, you need a new fashion critic!

So that is Emma
Scarlett O'Hara's green velvet gown made from curtains in the midst of the ruins of the Civil War is the most famous dress in cinematic history.
I loved when Katnis’ wedding dress changed into the Mockingjay - a more dramatic moment than the red flames.
Agreed! I was completely speechless! and Tracy Turnblad's dress reveal! I was like "You go, girl!!"
Right
@@brookelynnenewcomer943 Agree. The wedding dress transformation was by far best of Hunger Games reveal.
@@kellyfalletta1949 I feel some should have been lower than the actual place they were at.

No, Carol Burnett’s dress from Went With the Wind (I saw it in the window and had to have it).
I agree... that red dress was a show stopper.
I love that scene. Rhett leaving her alone at the party thinking Melanie will shun her, but Melanie is the bigger person in welcomes her.
I came here just to say that! 100% !
Say what you will about the film itself, but that red dress reveal is the definitive reveal.
I love the Ella's ball gown from Cinderella (2015)!💙
I don’t understand why this isn’t on Disney+.
because they want you to watch the other crappy films. They took off the best ones like the 2015's Cinderella and Maleficent. @@masonplacher7096

Audrey Hepburn's black dress in Breakfast at Tiffany's is my favorite.

Tracy's maxi dress was always gorgeous to me, Nikki really pulled off that look well. 💞👗
I liked the magenta shirt from the Broadway production better
I feel like Amanda Bynes' dress reveals in 'What A Girl Wants' DEFINITELY deserves to be recognized.
Omg yesss
It's not so much about the dress as it is the moment. She wowed the room.
Yes! She’s given a frumpy dress, but turns it into a stunner.
Even before got to No 1, it was my number 1 choice. I would love to see multiple sequels to this. Maybe based on various fashion eras in film.
I agree. When they got to the top and it hadn’t been mentioned, I was really to go ballistic if it wasn’t number one.
Whenever I hear Mustang Sally I see that scene in my minds eye, Sandra Bullock “gliding” her stuff is about as iconic as it gets!
i love that scence too
My favourite dress reveal is Ella’s ball gown from Cinderella💙 and Cruella’s dress reveal from Cruella❤
Cinderella's blue dress is beautiful and Lily James play as Cinderella in 2015 and because her dress was design by Sandy Powell and i love it
If they ever do another video for transformations please do Evangline from Nanny Mcphee! It's really underrated and needs to be mentioned!
