    Thanks for the video. Short and straight forward👍.
    Do you know how wide it is if you do not use the side supports?

    I was considering the smaller saw stand, for the 36v sliding miter saw.
    watched a video must pull out each leg then mount the saw .
    Your video just changed my mind.
    Thank you for your time, effort and the video

    Is the saw easily removable from the stand? ie quick release sort of thing? eg if the saw and stand is too heavy to load into the vehicle as one unit.
    And if so, are the brackets designed to be used on the floor (eg has some rubber feet) - like the usual quick release brackets on other stands.

      The saw bolted to the stand, so there no quick release.you could lift the saw and stand together, but very heavy, I use a ramp into my van. Thanks for watching

    Thanks for sharing. How are you getting on with this a year on? Ive got a 305mm cordless XGT which is a beast, so looking for a sturdy stand. I was eyeing up the DEAWST05 but its so expensive for a stand. Cheapest os £285. This version you have is still around £110, I just wonder if its stable enough for the bigger saw. Cheers.

      100%, it's stable enough. I was using my old bigger dewalt saw on it till I got the makita one. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching

    The right leg isnt supposed to be a support. When you have the right angle plate the correct way around, you adjust the leg in and out for repeat cuts. In short its actually a length stop.

      Sorry but your Incorrect about that I have spoken to makita uk. It is support but can also be used as a stop end as well. Thanks for watching

    is that the 10 inch saw ? i was thinking about gettting the 12". what are your thoughts on the 10 inch vs 12?

    • @TomMagicWoodworking
      @TomMagicWoodworking  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, yes, that was the 10-inch saw. I have them both. The 10 inch is 36 volt batteries, and the 12 inch is 240 volt, both cracking good saws. It depends on what you are using it for, but if you have the room, get the 12-inch. Thanks for watching

    I bought it and the build quality was substandard. Footings were weak and wobbly. I had to return it and would recommend to avoid. Side note: I’m a professional engineer and big fan of Makita. They just missed the mark on this and assume a third party manufactured it outside of Japan

    I like this i suppose its a trigger release to fold it down same as putting it up .maybe you could show it .nice bit of kit

    • @quickfirefred34
      @quickfirefred34 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, yes, it is the same trigger. Release to fold the stand down as lift it up. It locates in a notch, so with a small lift it lowers. Thanks for watching
