Old Vans Shoes Restoration - Simple and Cheap

- Restore your old vans shoes using the following cheap materials and simple technique:
CHEAP Materials:
1. Venus Dye Powder or Jubos
2. Salt
3. Hot water
4. Old toothbrush
5. Hair blower
SIMPLE Technique
1. Wrap sole with masking tape
2. Mix dye powder, salt and hot water
3. Brush the liquid mixture to the fabric
4. Slightly dry the fabric using hair blower
5. Brush again liquid mixture to achieve darker color
6. Dry again
7. Done

You actually dont have to use tape. You can use resistant stuff like vaccailn, any lube type but im not gonna lie i tried a tooth brush (whixh i nwver have tried) and worked amazing! I usually dip mine. 😁 Thank you Mister! 100% a thumvs up!

it will just stain ... already tried it, better to use acrylic paint lols
@@chriseedrielzara988 yeah i feel like if he taped off the whole bottom of the shoe and washed off the excess dye and let it dry in the sun would be better
or just use angelus paint on it with 2 soft 50/50

I'm using the black spray paint at the auto store that you used to die car interiors and carpet.. You can also use regular spray paint I have heard.. the mist is fine enough that it will not leave a hard surface it will just color the fabric

What the heck happened to those. They look hardly worn just faded to all hell lol. My 8 year old vans are BEAT but the color isnt faded much. Weird. Mustve been a pool boy? Sun and or chlorine?
Very often cleaned. I have a 6 month old pair.. And I had to wash them weekly. From black now are blue
