    I had the opportunity to watch Jay & Jaz a few years back at Aimee's facility. I had gone to many workshops and seminars as well BUT rarely learned anything. What I love about training is Psychology. They taught me to become a better thinker and observer.

    Many years ago when I had started my Dog Training business one of my clients actually pointed out to me the the way I teach is actually more teaching the humans. It really is. Dogs are very easy to train but humans, oh my goodness, not so much. You must be a people person if you give dog training lessons.

      Did you know Larry is a Nazi? Him and his other dog abusing friend Robert Cabral both outed themselves as Nazi's on Robert's podcast. You know what we do to Nazi's? Especially Nazi's that abuse their dogs? Nazi lives don't matter.

    Thank you, Mr. Krohn, for discussing this. I know that I can be a better trainer and I’m always looking for a better way to do things. One of the reasons I have so much respect for you and Ivan, is not only for your knowledge but your genuine love for dogs. I have your book and have one of Ivan’s videos but I will now purchase the one you mentioned in this video. I also now know the other two trainers I should be learning from. I’m consistently learning and seeking out the best information I possibly can. This video has just given me a definitive answer on where I should be looking for that missing link. Thank you. This video was incredibly valuable to me. I pray Dante has a speedy recovery. God bless you and yours.

    This hour flew by. Thanks Larry. A dog lover like you once asked, "What's a dog's greatest skill?" I thought smell, he answered, "Reading humans." When you recounted that Dante, in excruciating pain, was more concerned with you, I choked up too. Dogs are always there for us and I know you feel the same, sincere emotion about your buddy too.
    Cheers,
    Frank

    Larry, I’m sorry about what’s going on with your dog! I want to take a minute and thank you! Thank You for the information and experience you share on here. You have helped me to get my late dog in a good shape (shepherd adopted as an adult), and to raise my new puppy right. I have become a dog trainer. And I use the knowledge I’ve learned from you all the time! When are you in LA? I want to attend your seminar

    How is Dante? I was feeling self pity hearing his story, because my dog also had her leg amputated to save her life. It was hard for me because to get the medical care I had to surrender her. She was 13 and I had raised her from a puppy.

    I’m late…..who is Ivan? And how can I research his school? I’ve spent $2,300 so far on 3 trainers and I don’t know any more than when I began. When I didn’t like what I saw, what I call abuse I bailed! The only thing on my bucket list is to learn to humanly train my dog to be my best friend….to travel with me….to be with me till the end. He’s a 2 1/2 yr old gsd who’s dads name is Dante’s inferno. HELP!

    Man I wish Ivans knowledge wasn't behind a 10k paywall.
    I would love to actually know about proper punishment, but i'm just an enthusiastic dog owner and spending thousands is just not in the cards for me right now. And i'm in the netherlands so I don't have any TWC trainers around.
    Watched hundreds of hours of dog training content, subscribed to Dylan's Patreon and watched those videos too. Very helpfull, but still missing pieces. Also lots of hours of Cheryl from Lead offleashe k9 (also TWC graduate) watched.
    I implemented play and try to get better at that. He loved fetch/chase and catch inside and in the garden, but in areas with lots of smells he'd chase the ball but then walk off and start sniffing. Now it's getting better and last long walk in an area like that we did loads of succesfull fetch reps.
    All the training has helped loads already. My dog would run off like 200 meters towards other dogs to greet them, which ofcourse was not the behavior we wanted and make us take him offleashe a lot less often. Now the walks are way better and he doesnt sprint off like that anymore luckily. He still has some frustration based leashe reactivity though, but way less than before.
    Does your video on sit stay learn include information about punishment or not?

      Hoi Niels, ik ben er in 2012 ook achter gekomen dat er maar heel weinig goede trainers zijn in NL en Belgie maar ik ken er wel een paar die echt geinvesteerd hebben in hun kennis oa 1 die door Larry opgeleid ( wel in de tijd voor Larry bij Ivan was geweest) .

    • @NielsO-t3v
      @NielsO-t3v 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @urromont ja en niet alle trainers vind je direct natuurlijk. Maar er zijn zeker goede trainers denk ik, afhankelijk van wat je doelen zijn etc.
      Ondertussen wel weer meer geleerd van Dylan Jones en van Cheryl van Lead offleashe k9.
      Als je de TWC methode van punishment wil leren kun je daarnaar kijken. Lead offleashe k9 even zoeken op " cibi get's another quit", tot 05:10 geeft ze er uitleg over.
      Dylan jones heeft net een 2 uur lange livestream training geupload ( zijn account is day to day dog training )

    I would just like to ask something. Why do dog trainers become celebrities? Why do they think they are such hot stuff? I’ve never met more Egotistical people in my life. Having been around dog shows and showing German Shepherds in breed competition at the Nationals, it’s the same. There has to be a lot of ego to even get into the industry of training and showing. I’m not liking it- never did-I try to avoid it but even in my small town being a small town dog trainer, I’m very good at what I do but I’ve never once dreamed of becoming the best of the best, I just sought to help people and help their dogs. Yet the other trainers in the area competed with me and even spied on me to see what I was doing and how I trained. I would never do such a thing to other people. I have never had to advertise I’ve always had a steady flow of clientele and I’ve been doing this since 1980. But what is it that makes dog trainers think they are gods walking on earth?

      @angelinacamacho8575 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Unfortunately dog training is seen as a way to make quick but decent cash. It is also a haven for narcissists in some ways since dogs are trainable. Many of them see dogs as a way to make a profit. They think they are all that because according to them "they are the dog expert". They spy on others in the field either to just improve their skills by observing and copying another style or because they want to slander another trainer to so one less person is in their way. In the show ring however it's more of a "my dog is better than yours" kind of thing and envy masking as being egotistical. Just my two cents 😅.
