    Great video! When I went backpacking in Europe it was before cheap compact video, so I just have photos (still great), but this is awesome. Thank you for sharing.

    Great video! I'll be leaving Québec in exactly one month to go backpacking Europe by myself. A bit scary, but I really can't wait to go explore this beautiful continent. Your video is inspiring and making me even more eager to leave!

      Thank you for watching, I'm glad you found it inspiring. I was quite nervous before I left but that went away pretty fast. Make sure you soak it all in because before you know it you'll be back in Canada. Safe travels!

    Amazing video! Im travelling to Europe for the first time in the summer of 2018. I just wanted to know what kind of expenses led you to spend so much?! Thanks!

      Thank you! Well to be fair the conversion from Canadian dollars to euros wasn’t good when I went. I also spent too much on food. Buying more from grocery stores can help.

      Yên Vĩnh it depends where you’re going, hot or cold. Pack light as possible. Bring extra underwear and socks. Bring layers if it’s cold.

    Great video I'm leaving May 30th for a two month solo trip, the big euro loop! Was initially going to stick to photography but your vid has got me wantin to use the go pro as well now. Did u stay at hostiles the whole time or did you do some Couchsurfing too?

      Hey, thanks for watching! I was thinking the same thing before my trip, but these videos looked so great, I had to make one. Im really glad I did because I love watching this back, it brings back such great memories. It's a little extra work to be take all of these videos but it was so worth it. I stayed in hostels the whole way through and had a great experience.

    Great video man! Makes me wanna do a solo trip to Europe even more. May I ask, do you pre-plan the places you were heading to or do you just go with the flow and decide to go to a certain place at the last minute?

      @alexvie12  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! It was a great experience. I had a rough idea of where I wanted to go on my trip. I did change some things along the way and went with the flow, that's half the fun. Don't get too caught up in the details, leave some room to be spontaneous. Good luck!!

    Hi Alex, I am leaving for Europe in May, with my backpack, and I was wondering if you used Eurail? Because I am still not sure about if I should buy a pass or just buy my tickets day per day. And what would yoy say is the average cost for a train ticket or bus ticket? Where were you sleeping also, (îm guessing hostels) and if you could give me any feedback of things you would recommand and mistakes I could avoid, thanks!! Btw, I don't know if your Quebecois, but I am so answer in French or hit me up on Facebook, I got plenty of questions!!! Felix Faucher

      Hello Félix, I am from New Brunswick but I don't speak French. Train tickets vary quite a bit depending where you are and the distance you're traveling. I bought the 1 Month unlimited eurail pass. It was expensive but worth it in the end because I traveled a lot by train. I also got cheap flights to some places. I stayed at hostels everywhere I went and it was great. Look at reviews before you book a hostel!

    Awesome video! Was thinking of doing a 3 month trip myself. You said you spent too much, what would be a good daily budget?

      Thanks! I did spend too much but I could have been more frugal if I wanted to. Another factor was how bad the canadian dollar was to the Euro. I tried to stick to 60 euros per day on average (every country is different) not including transportation to and from. I hope this helps, have a great trip!
