- Mike & Marlene to Lower Carnage is a technical and fun enduro run at Brandywine Creek State Park in Delaware. I must admit, it’s confusing to find since it’s labeled differently on Trailforks and Strava, and to make matters worse, the locals have their own naming scheme, lol. But regardless of what you call it, these trails will keep you on your toes with a smile on your face. So go grab your mountain bike and get ready to rip.
Trail Detail:
If you are looking for Mike and Marlene you won’t find it on the map. But if you are lucky enough to run into some locals they will know how to get you there. Looking at Trailforks it looks like it is part of the “Hurricane Run”. And if you are on Strava, it looks like it is called “Three Drops”.
Lower Carnage as it is labeled on Strava, looks to be a part of “Left Anterior Descending” on Trailforks, but it’s hard to tell. This trail starts off with a tough rock garden followed up with some tricky root sections. You will definitely have to be on the pedals through here if you want to keep any sort of momentum. At the end you will be at the bottom of Hunter Stand.
The bonus footage is from the Concord Pike trail and is a fun fast rip back to the hotel parking lot.

FTR (Follow The Rider) is a new series focused on mountain biking one or two specific trails. It will be different from my POV videos in that there will be no b-roll or music. The goal is to give viewers a look at a complete run from start to finish.

Love that you're giving Brandy more exposure Sage! Such a great place to ride with serious variety. I rode this trail the other direction this past weekend and can confirm that rock garden is definitely a little trickier without the dh momentum coming into it. Great run!
Thanks Sam. It's such a cool place to ride. I wish I could feature more stuff from BW, but so much of it is not labeled on Trailforks and I don't want to get anyone in trouble.
Brandywine Creek State Park packs a powerful punch with how small it really is, yet somehow manages to fit so much in, making it one of the best parks in the Brandywine area for both hiking and biking.
I totally agree. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Endless fun when TrailSage is along for the ride!
Thank you so much for a great lead Stick!
The GoPro does no justice to that last little climb out to the hotel! You guys made those rock gardens look easy too!
I know right?! That thing is so rutted out at this point, lol. Thanks for watching Mark!
Fantastic video Sage, this trail looked like a lot of fun. Great ride and awesome video as always. Thanks for sharing and have a great week mate. Ride on🤙
Thanks Christoph, there are some challenging pedally bits, but you know I love the tech.
Looking good fellas! Ripping it! There's some really fun runs there!
So true. We are lucky to have this so close by.
Nice little burn that Sage... Autumn is always a tricky time to ride... But having said that... Dry leaves are a helluva lot better that wet leaves! Hahaha...
OMG Right?!?! Wet leaves are worse than ice sometimes. Thanks for watching Phil
always a blast to watch
Thank you so much.
I love how steady the cam is despite this kind of terrain.
OMG right?!?! Technology is amazing. Thanks for watching Simon.
You guys were flying! Looks like you had a blast!
Thanks Steven, I had a good lead man!
Amazing trails Sage but I prefer the Bonus Trail. Great ride bro. 👍
Ha! I know you love a tough climbing challenge Luis
That last climbed looked so easy, but I have attempted that many times and what you made look easy and almost flat is anything but. It is steep, ruttie, and almost straight up.
Oh man, that thing has def gotten worse over the years. Thanks for the kind words Eric!
I thought Mike and Marlene were riding with you! I should've known it's a trail! Looks like it's getting chilly but I'm sure you warm up fast! Those rocks though!! Wow! What a great workout and ride!
lol I miss you so much Kirsten. Thanks for all the love. I hope you and your family are well.
@@TrailSage it’s good to be back. My mom passed. 😭 Long month of October-
You’re doing amazing Sage!! Love your videos!!!
@@KirstenQuickFitOh my, I'm sorry to hear that Kirsten. Though I'm sure your positive energy and great attitude was just what the family needed in this time of darkness. I will keep you in my thoughts, god speed.
