When Evelyn passed away, Loriot said "Evelyn, your timing was perfect everytime. But now, you're too early. " Pause. "So wait..."
Yes, it's so nice that even then he has retained his humorous view of the facets of life.
Yes, that was his comment in major News
Я так же смеялась как и вы ))) это так здорово что юмор безграничен
Loriot is a class of its own.
Hi D, your reaction is so infectious, I love so much laughing with you about the sketches I've watched felt 100 times before. There is so much more with the perfect comedy couple Loriot an Evelyn Hamann. Hope you do more of them.
oh that was just too funny! 🤣
Loriot was a perfectionist. I once read he repeated a shot over 20 times before he was satisfied. The woman, Evelyn Hamann was his longtime partner in a lot of scetch roles and two feature films.
Are you aware, that dhe young man proposing with the noodle over his face is Loriot himself?
yes !
Someone should give you access to his full length motion pictures, especially Papa Ante Portas.
Yes, this is him: Loriot.
It’s hilarious 😂 simple classy comedy
Funny without offending anyone, that's also art.
oh come on - its 2024, i bet there is SOMEONE out there who found SOMETHING offending SOMEWHERE in that video lol
Thats Loriot, the actor with the noodle also
thank you for a good laugh, it´s long ago that I saw this :D nearly everybody knows The Noodle. it crosses our lives from time to time, when somebody´s got something in their face and someone says: you remember Loriot´s The Noodle? It is kind of a running gag in german humor history
And I have to add that Loriot was able to play so many different roles, sometimes barely recognizable! In a few cases he would play someone from the official news tv and confuse the viewers who didn‘t recognize him immediatly with the absurd but seriously sounding things he would say. 😂
Hi! There is another cartoon by Loriot: *Loriot - pneumatische Plastologie, Körperteile vergrößeren durch Atemtechnik* -- Pneumatic plastology, enlarging body parts through breathing techniques
oh, and also worth the time: *Fernseher kaputt* - TV broken
There is a lot more out there, trust me. He even made hole movies, but his successors are suing every platform that allows Loriot uploads.
Bernhard-Viktor Christoph-Carl von Bülow (12 November 1923 - 22 August 2011)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loriot
copyright already passed
only because I put that writing on it, when I did the same with "the painting" it did NOT work :(
@@ReactionsbyD Maybe because of the background music.
Hello, I recommend "das Bild hängt schief". 🤣🤣🤣 And best of all, it requires almost no translation.
Ja 😂😂😂😂😂
don't forget " der Lottogewinn" Erwin Lindemann🤣
@@onnasenshi7739Too many words; won't work well in English - how will you translate all those funny changes of words? 🙂
Das hat er sich bereits angeschaut, The painting, leider wurden nur die letzten 40 Sekunden hoch geladen.
Yes 👍👍👍
Yes, he is "Loriot" (real name: Bernhard-Viktor Christoph-Carl von Buelow).
it is him....
You have found one of the greatest German acrobats with words and small gestures.
I grew up with these words... and have adopted some of them into my use of the German language: for example "Ach was?"
😂Ich auch, "ach was" und
"Moooment"🤣🥰
"Sagen Sie jetzt nichts!"😂❤
Warum sagen Sie denn nichts?
"So sagen Sie doch etwas!"
Loriot's humorous legacy has made it into German customs. "There used to be more tinsel": this sentence has been part of German Christmas culture for many decades. It comes from Vicco von Bülow, aka Loriot, probably the most popular German humorist of all time. He would have been one hundred years old on November 12, 2023. 😊
Loriot taught us Germans to laugh at ourselves. With dignity.
He had the ability to see through human weaknesses.
In his brilliant sketches, however, he in no way condemned the people he "exposed".
Loriot's humor is unique.
It's always precise, incredibly funny, biting, but never malicious
I deeply admire Loriot 😍 and his death has hit me hard.
The "There used to be more tinsel" is not just a generationial thing. We old farts use it all the time in December but even the younger generations have embraced it. I once was about to enter a train in Munich in front of me a young metal head, wearing the usual black, but his T-shirt had "Früher war mehr Lametta" in bold print on the back. That made my day.
Früher war mehr Lametta.
It is nice to watch how much fun you have with the comedy sketches we all grew up with. I believe that every German over 30 knows them by heart.
Well, let's say _40_ - 30 is too late: born '92 or '93 or '94, there's no way you grew up with our greatest comedian... Even 40 is doubtful; at least when you say _every_ German.
And even some six year olds…
@@geronomina6395 I am 27 and I know Loriot by heart. My parents have the whole collection, including his amazing movies. Every once in a while I watch a few of his sketches again here on YT, as they never get old. :)
@@lindago3747 They sure don't! 😄
Happy to hear there're fans even among younger generations. May I ask where you're from?
@@geronomina6395 I am originally from the „Ruhrpott“.😉
The green sofa he's sitting on as he introduces the skit is as recognizable as many of his works. When he died, the local newspaper had a picture of the sofa, empty, on the front page. The headline, in reference to this skit: "Don't say anything now"
The woman is the wonderful late Evelyn Hamann. She was Loriots congenial partner in many many sketches. 😊
Elaborate: A down to earth woman with tremendous common sense and a huge heart.
@@GetZappéd1974..... and a gifted jazz pianist. Hardly anyone knows it.
@@wochenendsonnenschein5853WHAT??? I really didn't know that 😮 thanks, now i'm an even bigger fan of her 😆
i will always remember her great perfformance in "der englische fortsetzungskrimi"
I think one thing that is lost in translation is the fact, that they cranked up the stiffnes by still using the formal "Sie" while asking for her hand. Normaly you where already on a unformal "DU" base when you asked a gril to get married even in the 70th. Loriot is the master of mirroing the german stiffnes of that time...and a bit of today.. Deutsches Spießertum
Fun fact. They tried to shoot the sketch with a real noodle. But it didn't work. The noodle didn't really want to stick, so they resorted to a piece of paper and glue.
My generation truly misses him and alikes dearly. The kind of what today they dare to call humor just doesn't cut it for me. Loriot aka Vikow von Bülow was in a league of his own. He was a close observer of society's odds and was able to tranlate them into the most rdiculous sketches upholding a mirror on society. R.I.P. Loriot.
Wenns im Himmel nichts zu lachen gibt, macht er sich halt darüber lustig und der Himmel wird Tränen lachen!
Loriot died in 2011. His skits are great and unforgettable.
What's great about Loriot's comedy in my opinion - and perhaps a little bit "lost in translation" - is the absolut perfect timing of dellivery.
Yes!!!
Loriot couldn't have found a better counterpart / actress / personality than Evelyn Hamann! She was uncomparable 👍
Her glazed eyes...
Also as usual his hyperbolic seriousness, combined with a bit arrogance & xenophobic. "You may pesent that to YOUR clients in Naples!"
And: "We know each other ONE year, and even dine the SECOND time now."
---
Do you say that in the US too: To 'not like somebodys nose.' = Unspecified dislike of a person. (Of course here said in the moment, the noodle dangling from his nose.)
Don't say anything.😂
Two sentences later: why aren't you saying anything?
Humans are so often exactly this crazy... 🤪
To let it look 'simple' is so difficult and complex...wording, timing, mimik a.s.o. His sketch partner Evelyn Hamann was asked after his dead how the cooperation with Loriot over the years was and she answered how difficult it was due to his need of perfection. Some scenes they did hundrets of times till he was fine with it. So it was mostly hard to work with him, but the outcome was brilliant.
Oh, I don't think that this is correct. Evelyn Hamann died in 2007, Loriot followed in 2011.
@@deniskramer3562 UPS. Maybe it was another sketch partner. BUT that statement about how is the work with Loriot is wellknown.
A brilliant duo!
The best we ever had!
You also should watch to "The picture is crooked"
we did I posted it - but its heavily copyrighted and only some can watch it :(
@@ReactionsbyDToo bad... How did you like it? It's one of my favorites; especially because it practically needs no words! ^^
It is impossible not cry😂😂😂
He was a member of the German nobility. A true aristocrat in the best sense. Bernhard-Viktor „Vicco“ Christoph-Carl von Bülow. His artistic name, “Loriot”, is the French name of the bird in his family’s coat of arms.
correct!
and the bird`s name is "Pirol" in german, ( "oriolus oriolus" name in science)
You should also do Das Jodeldiplom and Die Fernsehansagerin. In the latter you will recognize the brilliance of Evelyn Hamann as an actress. In it she plays a television announcer who announces a very English soap opera.
You can also get all of Loriot's texts as a small booklet if you want to do theater yourself. I've been practicing this announcement over and over again - for 30 years now - and still fail at the TH. It is impossible to deliver it correctly and to the point and do it with a straight face.
"Die Nudel" - He found it.
Still missing is “The Cow Elsa”. It's from Hallervorden but it's the same kind of humor.
Does it come with a bottle of fries ? 😂 *palimpalim*
Definetly not the same kind of humour!
While being a funny and great guy in his own right, his humour is _far_ from Loriot's.
You'll have to watch the "xmas" Edition. " Weihnachten bei den Hoppenstedts"
Loriot is simple but allways on point. I love him!
Another fact: Vicco von Bülow played and uncredited part in he Movie "The Longest Day" from 1962. He played an adjudant of Generalleutnant (lieutenant general) Max-Josef Pemsel, played by Wolfgang Preiss. During WWII, von Bülow actually served as a lieutenant in the german army at the eastern front in different roles, one of them as a staff officer on batallion level. Asked if he had been a good solder in an interview long after the war, he answered: "Not a good enough one, or I would have been part of the resistance on 20th July 1944." On that day, german officers tried to assassinate Hitler with a bomb and to topple the Nazi government during Operation Valkyrie.
You can also watch "Das Bild hängt schief" were you don't really need a translation.
thats also on my rumble site because of copyrights
Ah, the wonderful world of Loriot. If you ever find the poem "Advent" or the sketch "Kosakenzipfel".... 😉
I would like to suggest Dietmar Wischmeyer with "Polen am Bau (Polish on the construction site)". Unfortunately, I can't find an English translation. Maybe you can find someone who can translate it.
The art directors club of Germany, of which he was a honorary member, had an obituary in the bigger German daily newspaper "FAZ" after he has died in 2011.
"Dear God, have fun!"
RIP Vicco von Bülow.^^
Loriot and Evelyn Hamann were just great together. I love this kind of humor.
Try to find "Ödipussi" or "Pappa ante Portas" with subtitles. Thats whole movies with Loriot and Evelyn. It is really worth it.
Weihnachten bei den Hoppenstedts, Liebe im Büro, Das Jodeldiplom, Der Staubsaugervertreter. Translator, get busy! 🤗
Fun fact for you, @ReactionsbyD: Loriot worked as a director at the Opera in Stuttgart for a short period of time in the 80ies. The mother of my brother’s girlfriend was a singer there at that time and she absolutely loves him. Everybody who worked with him back then adores Loriot. He must have been wonderful to be around ❤ 😊
I don't want to say that Loriot was the best comedian Germany has ever had, because there were and are other very good comedians, but he is definitely one of the best and one can assume that almost all television viewers in the 70s were his watched the show. We Germans love it when our stereotypes are parodied and caricatured, perhaps with the exception of Lederhosen.
Sadly totally lost in translation is - the stiff formal way - he talks for that "proposal to be together". That makes the whole monologue even way more funny because the whole situation is already heavily awkward because of that. by adressing her "in formal speech" instead of "informal/casual"..and the noodle is actually just "the cherry on top" lifting an already heavily awkward situation to become grotesque.
English doesn´t have "the formal speech" as like German does.
His whole talk is kinda like a bit as like as speaking in archaic English/Shakespearian English or King James Bible English...like using "Thou" instead of casual "You" and "Thy" instead of casual "Your" in order to pay respect when adressing her....kinda.
You know what though? He could have been saying literally "bla bla bla bla" and she could have responded "bla bla bla bla" and I would have been laughing my ass off anyway - I just needed the noodle and their expressions lmao
Hi D..... you should watch "Ein Klavier ein Klavier" by Loriot. You will like it 😄
Look for "Loriot - Das Bild hängt schief". You won't need subs. He may have been the inspiration for Mr. Bean.
He has also made a TV series and 2 movies with the same actress, Evelyn Hamann.
I smile so much with you too. And most important: You have fun to make your vids. Thanks!
That's him.
Ich bin damit aufgewachsen und kenne und liebe alles seit Jahrzehnten, aber am meisten muß ich immer lachen, wenn du lachst, - über deine Reaktionen D😂❤🤣
R.I.P. Loriot ...
This one is even better
'Das Bild hängt schief'
th-cam.com/video/Dhj1xhv3rZI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AgcIVOBuiPtl90WY 😂😂
sooo I did that already but there was no way to stop its CRAZY COPYRIGHTS so I think only 2 % of the world can watch it - I imagine thats why it only has like 250 views.....I think I know what I will do - I will repost it on my Rumble Site where there are (at least so far) ZERO issues with copyrights
She was the best.RIP Evelyn Hamann.
Now that you have discovered the "live-action" Loriot, you should search for the Christmas special. The official title is "Weihnachten bei den Hoppenstedts", I think.
Please watch "Das Bild hängt schief"!
Hello, I like your videos!
Could you react to the german DJ 'Scooter'? Would be cool.
Greetings from Bavaria
Yes, Loriot is a classic and always current. 😂
Please take a look at a German comedian too, "Michael Mittermeier - Das Blackout"
Evelyn Hamann also played in other shows, but never reached the timing and expression perfection she achieved in collaboration with Loriot. With other directors she had a tendency towards over-acting, with Loriot she found the right balance and showed the subtle and measured facial expressions that made the skits so distinguished.
please surching: die Politesse with Evelyn, its brilliant...
after over 20 years living in germany , i still don't find loriot funny. Embarassment skits just make me uncomfortable
Loriot also invented an animal that got entries in some enzyclopedia dictionaries and animals on "display" in zoos.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stone_louse
usually i cant stand lets watch but somehow watching you watching loriot makes it even funnier... which shouldnt even be possible
Thank you so much for showing us all the gems of Loriot. And Evelyn Hamann who was the pefect fit for Loriot's movies and scetches. She did some other tv shows too which are very worth watching today.
Vicco von Bülow (aka Loriot) wrote about himself and his alter ego (that man with the bulbous nose in a frock coat and pin striped trousers) that after years of studying arts and graphics he was finally able to draw a little man that has nourished him since.
Oh, that was so funny! Thanks, needed a good laugh. Such imagination, an entire performance based on a roaming noodle lol.
Check out the scene from "Papa ante portas" where they travel in the train, in German "die Zugfahrt".
Some asian comedian recreated the skid with a rice corn and steretypic asian family tropes..funny aswell.
Yes, this is the Genius and his real name is Victor von Bülow and he is dead, unfortunately.
Loriot - pneumatische Plastologie, Körperteile vergrößeren durch Atemtechnik
Loriot - pneumatic plastology, enlarging body parts through breathing techniques
Loriot's real name is Bernhard Viktor Christoph Karl von Bülow, his family being highest nobility in old prussia. His uncle was minister of foreign affairs under Bismarck. The heraldic animal of the house of "von Bülow" is the golden oriole, french l'oriot.
Kann es sein, dass Sie sich irren? Heißt er nicht Bernhard-Victor (Vicco)?
ah there we go, the real loriot thing, awesome! his movies are great too :D
There is an English dubbed version for British television.
A laugh riot 40 years ago and still going strong today.
Timeless comedy.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I would like to see a reaction from you...
....Shakespeare's Sisters Stay....❗😇
Could be that you know it, though, because it must have been in your Sturm und Drang period too.😂😂😂😂
And there a tons of clips from Loriot. Even some Movies.
EVERY scetch with Evelyn is pure KULT! You must bring them all. Danke und alles Liebe from Munic, Germany.
This is Vicco von Bülow, known as Loriot.
Sowas
können sie ihren gästen in neapel anbieten hier kommen sie damit nicht durch ..you can offer that to year guest in naples here you can not get away with this
I recomend "Der Astronaut".
Please check out ' der Kosakenzipfel ' von Loriot !
Check ,,Papa ante portas"
"He puts the noodle on her hand"????? 🙂
And you have to consider how little effort and cost this video required. Mr. Loriot's finest sense of humor!
I am not sure about "little effort and costs". Loriot was known, even feared, for his perfectionism. As far as I remember, some shots were repeated umpteen times until he was satisfied, and this short sketch probably took several days just to film.
Don't even know why this is so funny 😂 Mad respect for the actors!
😂🤣😂🤣😂
Hey Buddy,
Loriot is considered as the second most funny german of the past 100 years.
The name of the funniest one is "Heinz Erhardt", even tough he died in 1979. you might want to check him out
is there one in particular we should check first?
Klassiker. 👌
😂😂😂🧡
He was genial
you are great...
Many thanks
Yes, that is him.
