thanks for zooming in on the GUI, really helps to follow along better
In answer to a couple of your questions that I'm aware of: yes, the original hardware had the 40/80 HPF, and I don't why it's taken this long to start emulating it, and about the Beatles, the songs recorded at Olympic were "Baby You're a Rich Man" and the backing track for "All You Need Is Love." Of course Olympic is best known for its association with the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin, and also recorded there were Procol Harum's "A Whiter Shade of Pale" (it was producer Denny Cordell's favorite studio, so a lot of his 60s work was done there),, David Bowie's Diamond Dogs and the original recording of "John, I'm Only Dancing," Scott Walker's Scott 4, and the soundtracks for Jesus Christ Superstar and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Other studios which had Helios consoles include the Rolling Stones Mobile (Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main St., Led Zeppelin III and IV, Who's Next by the Who, Deep Purple's "Smoke On the Water"), Geoff Emerick put one in Apple Studios (Stealers Wheel's "Stuck in the Middle with You"), the famous bright red one in Strawberry Studios in London (10cc's home studio, "Love Will Tear Us Apart" by Joy Division), and Hansa in Berlin (David Bowie's 'Heroes', Iggy Pop's Lust for Life, Tangerine Dream's Force Majeure, Siouxsie and the Banshees' Tinderbox)
Whoa, that Bus summing sim does a LOT. Awesome video, as always, Mike!
Ah man, now I'm going to have to do this mix from Boot camp II again! For the 3rd time!
I gotta say music you mixed really my type of love. Thank you for sharing
Sounds great and has that sweet bump in the low end when HPF. Hope the Compressor is really close to the real thing.
Musical and smooth. Nice one !
Comparisons are always nice to hear, keep up the good work…
I was waiting for this one! Thanks a lot, Mike!

Nice to have a limiter you can push into. That SMASH switch is nice as well. Reminds me a bit of the AMEK 9099 without all the extras. Thanks!
Great to hear a bit of Reggae. 👍
I hear the word Helios, I think Stones, Zeppelin, Marley.
Classic sounds.
Sick! i was waiting for this one man. I like this plugin a lot for the kinda stuff I record - real instruments etc. Mileage may vary for other genres / sources though.
Traffic "john barleycorn must die" a classic! ....done with the Helios...
Great as always mike! So this doesn’t do the helios thing when engaging the low end but not adding gain like the waves?
Hi boss Michael ... I'm a big fan of yours....your videos has help me alot in my career....Only the legends knows how deep the informations you drop freely on TH-cam is....pls I have a request...can you do a tutorial on the reverb setup you use on this reggae vocals....sound like a slap with a ping-pong...i don't know ,i can't wrap my head around it..❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Is it me or this fet 760 comp is the best sounding fet comp in history?
Hey Mike, I know you're quite a big fan of the UAD Helios, this one obviously has the advantage of being able to instantiate as many as your computer will handle, but how do they compare on the sound front?
I was worried about the noise as I listened to your talk but it sounds good actually in the mix
I wish these channel strips would work with my Softube Console 1 🙏
Curious your take on the Spectre plug-in! No affiliation, lot of hype going around, curious if it’s legit or not ☺️🙏
That's demo song was 🔥
Who was that?
Hi, does this plugin (Lindell 69 series) have a preset bundle, if so may I please have the link if possible, thanks, cheers.
I still don’t see the sense in the “CUT” button in the Lindell channel strips…it’s pretty useless, it is just a mute switch, and who is going to open a plugin window to mute the signal?? Makes no sense, would be much more useful if it was a bypass…
just had this thought the other day using the series 80. super frustrating and it takes up SO much real estate,
Use the CUT button for things like checking the feel by cutting the bass, then popping it back IN to see it you’re overdoing or under doing it.
But I agree that a big nearby BYP button would get used more.

I can only say.... HLS and Pie from Waves present a much better workflow
Mike, I have a question for you.
you're an audio guy. Why don't you FIX your voice? too much 1k, too nasal... PLEASEEEE
I always think his voice sounds good.
No EQ necessary.... just take some Flonase or Claritin.
Reeeeally correct advise!!!
Its become his sound
