You could have easily just skippered the boat through the OWS, but I'm so glad you took the time to educate the viewers on the importance of Okeechobee. Great work!

Very cool and informative! I've been that route many years ago. I know crossing Lake Okeechobee can be challenging and dangerous with only an average of 9 feet under your keel.
If I'm correct the Clewiston lock is not part of the Okechobee waterway. It's a side detour into Clewiston? I couldn't see how the lock could be so small. As part of the waterway, anyway. You didn't cover that much in the video.
That is correct, Clewiston is an offshoot detour from the waterway, good catch on that. There is so much more that I could have and should have included in the series
