  • Made in America! Get ready to say WOW over and over! This highly customized boat is a show stopping cruising machine that will make you feel like royalty wherever you go. Hoosier Daddy is a liveaboard or long term cruising family's dream. And she is for sale! She has 4 staterooms, 4 heads, a massive full beam salon, and a mind blowing fly bridge that is an entertainment paradise. Cruise at trawler speeds to enjoy the scenery, or get her on plane at 18 knots with her dependable Detroit 12v71 Turbo Diesels to outrun the weather or be in time to have your sundowners with your friends. And you could live in the massive spotless engine room!
    Hatteras Yachts are over engineered and built for the toughest of sea conditions while maintaining luxurious comfort to make you feel at home wherever you go. This stunning vessel is a prime example for why Hatteras is such a reputable and highly sought after brand that is still in production. I have cruised aboard and operated Hoosier Daddy many times over the last 10 years, cruising from Tampa Bay to the Florida Keys and up Florida's beautiful treasure coast. In this tour I show you what makes her such a special, truly one of a kind vessel. My friends who own her have purchased another Hatteras, so they have put Hoosier Daddy up for sale, and wow, you are getting a heck of a boat for the money! Whoever buys this yacht is going to absolutely score!

    I really don't think $379K is a bad price for this vessel.. Seems to have been well cared for over the years. I am certain this will sell very quickly! Cheers! From Sunny Tampa,FL..

    Yup, this amazing Hatteras Motor Yacht, M/Y Hoosier Daddy, is for sale, and she won't last long, that's for sure! I will edit this comment when a sale is confirmed. She is currently owned by some dear friends of mine that have taken amazing care of her for more than a decade. I have spent a lot of time on her and have so many great memories. She handles like a dream and takes on the seas like a boss. You will not find another boat out there like her. I really hope she goes to someone that takes as much pride in her as she deserves.
    And I hope you enjoy the tour!
    A couple of details I left out in the video:
    Vessel Draft= 5 feet
    Air Draft with antennas down= 26'9"
    Air Draft with hinged arch down= 18'10"
    The Detroits have around 5,000 hours on them. The hour meters were not accurate when they took ownership, so the hours are a best guess at this time. I can tell you they are very clean, well maintained, and run great.

    Love the layout. The only Hat 63 I'd been on was the other variation you mentioned, with the galley below deck and the separate engine rooms and just the three berths. I liked that one too but I think this one would be much more appealing for a full time live aboard.

    • @AquaCultured
      @AquaCultured  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They certainly both have their share of pros and cons. But I agree with you, the galley up and single engine room would be more appealing for a liveaboard, and is definitely my preference. I have had a galley down vessel, and now have a galley up and I love the galley up so much more.

    The only drawbacks I see is all the stairs and only one entrance to the fly bridge which is a ladder. A great boat for young people at a great price.

    • @AquaCultured
      @AquaCultured  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep! It sure would be nice to have easier access to and from the flybridge. There's always some compromise! Overall a great deal for a great vessel.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like the boat has a folding radar arch? On the listing it gives a MAX bridge clearance of 18.83 feet, I'm guessing that is with the arch and bimini up

    • @AquaCultured
      @AquaCultured  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The arch does hinge down, and that 18’ clearance is actually with the arch down. With the arch up it is more like 25-26’. I will confirm those exact heights

    It's a shame that Hatteras was so prone to use Detroits.....usually recognized as fuel guzzlers and oil leakers. Just out of curiosity, what is the fuel burn rate at most econ cruise?

    • @AquaCultured
      @AquaCultured  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hatteras definitely loved the Detroits, however, they put very economical ones that are tried and true on the Long Range Cruiser fleet, although they definitely were known for leaking oil. The 12v71’s on this particular Hatteras were remarkably clean. I believe they burn around 10-11 gallons per hour per engine at the most economical cruise speeds
