We are similar in size too. I own 5 Tier1 holster currently and will be buying this one as well. Thank you for this review.
You have a great sense of timing. I ordered one during their Black Friday sale and it was finished a week ago. I knew you'd make a video on it at some point.
After watching this video and others, I ordered the Tier 1 XIPHOS ELITE for my M&P 2.0 compact with threaded barrel and TLR-7 HL-X. I opted for the large 2.25" wedge also. I LOVE IT! I'm 6'1" 215lbs and this holster is extremely comfortable, well built, and conceals amazingly with the Floyd's magwell and +6 magazine. In fact it prints less than my p365 with 17rd mag in my other holster, that is not a Tier 1. The wedge I think was a crucial purchase, as it does not dig into me at all when seated, etc. The way it came set up was perfect for me and made 0 adjustments to belt clips or stack. Don't hesitate if you're on the edge deciding and don't need/want the extra mag carrier!

Customizable? You got that right. I spent four hours with mine the other day trying all different configurations. I ended up with very similar to yours, just tilting the magazine a bit more sideways. I’m going to only use this holster for a COF/competition events for my M&P 2.0 5”. For EDC I carry a duplicate model in a factory only set up. Park that in a Tenicor Velo 5 which is 1/4 the size of APX. If necessary, depending on where I’m going, I’ll have an extra mag in my pocket. One last thing I did just order some tier one wide foam wedges that are actually pretty decent.

The APX kind of seems like a solution searching for a problem to me, I don't particularly want more hardware to have to fiddle with (and Loctite) when the Axis Elite already does exactly what I want out of the box... You’re like a magician concealing those things. I’m a little taller but similar frame and I can hide the printing with a g45 but I end up with this hula hoop effect. Any suggestions?
Moving the mesh to the front, but keeping the mag carrier at the back. Helps to keep a red dot or the back of the slide from printing. At least in my experience.
Ive been trying for 2 years to get completely comfortable and used to appendix carry with a Micro 9mm and a hunterconstantine belt, but the gun-only holster at my 1oclock just drives me nuts after a full day. Do you think I’ll be fine with a (M&P carry comp compact polymer) with a (TLR-7 HL-X light) on this holster !?
@@RiwK.g I don’t see what not. What’s your concern?
@@NightwoodGuns I’m new and I just took my classes and passed and now looking to get a holster but didn’t know if it would fit bc your review on the TLR-7 HL-X you said there isn’t many gonna fit with this light so j wondering before I buy one and it doesn’t fit and I also have the M&P carry comp compact and didn’t know if it would fit that as well thank you for responding !🖤
@@RiwK.g yep, they make a TLR7 HLX holster option now! No worries there! 👍
@@NightwoodGuns thanks would you prefer wedges 1.5"
@@RiwK.g I like the wide wedges for light bearing holsters
I like your content my guy 👹
Thanks man! I like your work! Carrying your Lucky 7s M&P today 😂👍
@ leme know if you want to do anything cool for the channel!
@@monsoon_tactical Will do! 😎🤙
You’re like a magician concealing those things. I’m a little taller but similar frame and I can hide the printing with a g45 but I end up with this hula hoop effect. Any suggestions?
That probably boils down to belt, shirt, posture, and/or placement of your pantline on your torso.
Wanna have a consulting session and help me dial it in? I’ll pay
Hit me up on insta or the email in my description. We’ll see if I can help you out 👍
Do you happen to know what size clips you put on the holster?
Mod 4 Universal 1.5” DCC clips
@NightwoodGuns Thanks!
I’m running an APX for my custom Sig Fuse, how does moving the mag carrier to the front make it more concealable ??
Moving the mesh to the front, but keeping the mag carrier at the back. Helps to keep a red dot or the back of the slide from printing. At least in my experience.
@ good to know, I’ll make the change on mine, thank you
Doesn’t hurt to try it out 😎👍
“Wapah! You just got smoked Sonny boy.”
😅
Ive been trying for 2 years to get completely comfortable and used to appendix carry with a Micro 9mm and a hunterconstantine belt, but the gun-only holster at my 1oclock just drives me nuts after a full day. Do you find that a wider sidecar holster spreads out the pressure points and helps with the sharp belt bulge at 1 oclock? Or would more bulk just add more bulk and im crazy for thinking this is a solution for increased comfort?
@@piela650 I can only speak to my experience with my body… but I can’t stand 1 o’clock carry with a gun only holster. A sidecar is more comfortable and concealable for me. Can’t say it’ll be the same for you, but that’s how I feel about it.
What spec DCC clips did you use?
What is your EDC weapon? I don't think I've ever seen that gun before, thanks!
It was a Desert Eagle .50 AE 😂
@@NightwoodGuns
Oh, ok, now I understand. 😂 I'll usually take a stab at concealing any handgun (you seemed to do okay with it), would work great for a nice opener at the next training class.
😂👍
Been wanting to buy one of these and mod it to fit my MSP hmm.... Seen some people run it that way. Anyway you can confirm with your MSP?
Did you ever review the incog x by safari/ hailey strat?
What belt are you wearing?
