Ecological Niche Modelling Training

Video recording of an internal training session at ESSA from January 19, 2024, covering ecological niche modelling with Maxent software and incorporating climate change projection data to predict potential future shifts to terrestrial plant species distributions under climate change scenarios. Topics include general workflow steps, suggested data sources, generating downscaled climate projection data with ClimateNA, additional reference sources for ecological niche modelling and Maxent implementation, and an R code and QGIS example walkthrough to predict how habitat suitability for Saskatoon Serviceberry may change in central BC in the 2050s and 2080s relative to current conditions.
