Lazareth's Hyper Modified TMAX goes over 200kph

- Last month French customizer Ludovic Lazareth presented his Hypermodified TMAX. His goal was to go faster than 200kph and to achieve it he fitted a supercharger which has increased the TMAX's power by around 30% to nearly 60hp.
Few members of the media got invited by Lazareth to experience his creation.

Great mods to create a stunning 'wolf in sheep's clothing' BUT there's no evidence in this video that the 'blown' Tmax530 actually made it to 200kph!
It obviously takes off really well, but we only see the speedo at 180 and the other machine is surprisingly close at the finish. Let's see some proper speed and acceleration stats!
Well I for one have reached 160kmh on an unmodified TMAX 500... how do you think they couldn't get an extra 40ks an hour?
@@gloomsouls So have I. But it's simple physics. The amount of power you need increases exponentionally. Remember, BMW's 650 maxiscoots came with 60bhp out of the crate but they didn't get anywhere near 200kph. Maybe 180kph tops. It's not as if they've improved the aerodynamics either. With decent aerodynamics you could top 200kmh with a standard Tmax engine!

I would be interested to know why Ludovic opted for a Super Charger rather than a Turbo set up. Would a turbo not be able to deliver a bigger increase than 30%? You see some TMax turbo's reporting 130HP plus.
