    Howdy Flower : - 2 days late to the game for this one......!. Busy lopping trees, stripping carbs etc. , but = the featured scene looks pretty damn familiar....??!. *Thank You Sooo Much Yet Again*.
    A mixed-media special eh?? - I've learnt something, as it looked to the untrained eye as being a watercolour through + through...... What we're here from right? - apart from the uber chill factor of course! : - To Learn.
    Good Health down there, yourself plus family and friends. Nick.

    Your channel is amazing and honestly so underrated ! I would love to see a video of you painting on larger surfaces with longer brush strokes, I always find paint brushing on canvas so relaxing and think you would do an amazing job at that too :)

    The character “A” you drew with the ball pen looks really nice. Looks like an invitation card to a wedding, or a place card at a table. The finish is perfect, almost like printed, but individually hand drawn! Maybe you could make invitation / place cards with the names of your Patreon supporters on it?
    How does the paper fold and cut? Is it thick enough to make a card that can stand up out of it? Or would you integrate it onto something stiffer for standing up / placement on a table etc.?

    • @LeilaAtaya
      @LeilaAtaya  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you :) yes that's what I meant - it's super beautiful for pen. Anyone into calligraphy would love it. The paper is 250gsm which is thick enough for the cards. It actually feels even thicker than most 250gsm.

    I've been using this paper for the past year, really like how versatile it is! I use it for comic book drawing (pencils and inks), illustration with acrylics, pencil drawing (portraits)... please do more of these videos, they are really useful and entertainning!

    • @LeilaAtaya
      @LeilaAtaya  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How cool! I will be using this paper in the future for some sketches. It happens a lot with me I'd see something new in the art shop and then think to myself - I'll look into it... then I forget about it until I see it next... and the cycle repeats LOL. So if there are interesting materials that you'd like me look into let me know :)

      @@LeilaAtaya what I've learned with this paper is that it is really good for technical drawing but you need to use mainly dry leads: 4H - 2H, and it does wonders with Pentel Orenz 0.2 mechanical pencil.

    • @LeilaAtaya
      @LeilaAtaya  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@danielvaladez5992 yes mechanical pencils worked well with it. I think the worst part was trying to blend graphite on it. But I guess we can’t expect to have any paper to be 100% for all the media out there. I really like using Fabriano drawing paper for pencil drawings. 😊

      @@LeilaAtaya I would really appreciate if you could recommend me a paper with almost no grain at all, good for gouache and acrylics, the kind of paper that would be great for cover illustrations... thanks! 😊😊😊😊

    • @LeilaAtaya
      @LeilaAtaya  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@danielvaladez5992 I like this paper the best at the moment for gouache (mixed media one) I used to use hot pressed watercolour paper it has no texture but I think the paint application is a bit patchier. I'm using it in the perfume tutorial th-cam.com/video/l_35Vs-ZwuU/w-d-xo.html you can see for yourself.

    Wow great video tutorial leila 😀 Again in my opinion when it comes to art and design you can't beat nature depictions they're just so relaxing and colourful. I was gonna suggest a show for you to watch if you can find it online called YORKSHIRE WALKS.. it aired here in UK last year whilst we was in lock down and basically it was this lady who goes on these ling walks through the countryside in Yorkshire here in the UK and she ends up stopping and drawing lots of scenery she sees 🙏 Probably the most relaxing series I have ever watched 😇
