So what I get from this:
- MoM likes watching things play out.
- MoM doesn't like false information.
- MoM doesn't like it when someone is chained down by law or fate.
- MoM believes that action is better than words.
- MoM is totally nonchalant in telling his identity.
- MoM is too scared to take off his coat.
- *MoM is confusing.*
- The Master fought in the Keyblade War right from the beginning, and he mentioned being tired of it. He's both an observer & doer.
- The Master expressed concern, when he heard Xehanort talking about how weak are succumbing to darkness(possible that the Master's companions fell to darkness, because they were tired of fighting an endless War and wanted a shortcut to gain more power) 2:44-3:38
- The Master's sin is most likely Superbia, and the Lost Masters roles are constructed about them adapting the sin. In truth, their personalities are all the opposite of the sin they were assigned to.
The opposite of pride is selflesness(he even gets annoyed with Xehanort's trying to portray himself as a potential savior that understands everything around him). Combine it with the point above, about his companions, and there'd be a connection. 3:35-3:45
-The Master does not care about the lies, or the truth. He's alluded to the fact that the Foretellers didn't bat an eye on pursuing the truth, they just blindly believed what he told them to do.
The Master manipulated the events to get what he wanted, so he is somewhere between the truth and the lie. He's just vague in most aspects, specific in ones that "do not do harm."
His "I guess there's no harm" is a method of getting Xehanort's interest, because Xehanort himself, personality-wise, is a seeker, who wants to learn various truths.
-The Master mentioned fighting on the side of light in the Keyblade War, and also alluded to the fact that the darkness he fought against took forms that resemble them, only to then respond to Luxu that he didn't say that the creatures of darkness were human. That'd mean that Luxu thinks that the Master is human, and if the darkness took a form similar to the Master and his companions and the Master indirectly denied that the creatures of darkness were human, it'd mean the Master looks human, but is not. Would that mean he possesses heart? If not, then what if the Master is just one of the beings that were created solely by light, and that's why he doesn't have a heart, in-turn making it impossible for him to use darkness. That'd explain why he jokingly mentioned that he's scared of taking off the coat that wards off darkness, while being lowkey keen on "controlling" it. 5:08-5:30
-The Master thinks that the order is impossible to achieve, which means he doesn't believe in destiny. You are right about that. 3:15-3:21

The Keyblade War itself has been going on long before KHX, and the Maser is the one that fought at the beginning of it together with other wielders. The Keyblade War itself does not refer to KHX war, it's literally a conflict that spans ages, and will be present as long as light and darkness will fight.

He almost seems to both be pushing Xehanort towards becoming the villain we know, while also presenting him the opportunity to walk away and being sad he doesn't take it.
Better yet. Remember X(chi). Luxu said MoM didn't care about the world going to nuts, but maybe interested in how the leaders were to handle that. Or did i missread that? I'm kind of sure he said that.
Well he knows because of the book what will happen, or not? So he know that it is Xenahorts destiny to become the villain but he do not like the idear of destiny so he tries to push him away to prove that the future can be change by him but it can not here.
Of course he’s pushing and sad at the same time. He’s seen everything that’s going to happen. He HAS to push him to the brink, but he wants to offer the option of choice. It’s like being God. You see sin, and know it’s there, but can’t get rid of it.

@TheKira708 I think the MoM would be a future Sora that has been through a lot more loss and heartbreak or whatever breaks him.
He realizes there is such a small chance of being able actually balance out light and darkness in perfect harmony, so he at this point has honed the power of waking to insane amounts being able to rewrite reality with no drawbacks. He creates an infinite time loop where he restarts all promising Lights to forever clash in the original keyblade wars and up to KH3s keyblade war until the day something changes where they figure out how to balance light and dark.
What we witness with the weird thoughts passing over and phasing through dreams are actually memories and moments other versions of his self that have died or are living in other realities. Remember it's stated when you sleep that's when you're closest to death and also sora goes to the final world everytime we see him in the station of waking, so it would be easiest to experience other versions memories and experiences while sleeping if they have died. Therefore, I feel that they are not dreams but they are memories like the quote “a scattered dream, like a far off memory, I want to line the pieces up yours and mine.”
Remember how the MoM asks young xehanort "what did you learn about your world trip?" and MoM he is disappointed when xehanort has come to no other resolution and will continue to try to rule over light. Regardless of if MoM is sora or not I still think the most likely situation would be the MoM is trying to destroy the current world of no balance of light and dark, but he can see all possibilities and the only way succeed in one of the realities would be to time loop infinitely until it finally happens.
lil skeet That’s actually a good way of putting it. I do believe the quotes have way more meaning too especially if the KH3 quote. But honestly I don’t want him to be Sora, it would be too redundant, we already have Vanitas who is a perfect evil version of Sora, the main character so to make the mom be Sora too....it’s like ugh I much rather prefer, him being a lot alike or even Soras ancestor, the reason why Soras heart can connect to so many others is because he is a descendant of the MoM I wouldn’t mind soemthing like that, and perhaps he’s doing all of this to take Soras body in the end as well as change the world but first he was to destroy it. I believe the Mom chose Xehanort, because he sees the world and people in the world perhaps how the Mom does.
Your right I do believe the MoM already knows all of this, that’s why he was asking Xehanort all of the right questions to further confirm his resolve even tho he knows what’s going to happen. That’s why he said, you’ll ditch the coat soon, because he knows the path Xehanort is going to go down. Man I really hope when Dark Road comes out we see them meeting for the first time. In the KH3 opening we see a kid looking at a dark light in the sky, perhaps that’s how they met.

Not to mention the only other names that made sense was Demy...which is stupid but essentially a play on the word Demi or the gravity spell....or Myde. and honestly nothing of those names really has no significance that i know of.
That would actually be a pretty fantastic retcon, since Demyx sticks out like a sore thumb in KH2 and Days due to his laid back nature.
Too bad we don't see enough of the Organization members to really make it the massive hit that it would be otherwise.

MoM is pretty much Sora: Who else would make an adventure that starts and ends with him in an infinite loop. Cuz you see throughout Kingdom Hearts apparently Sora both “exists” and doesn’t at all times. The master of masters and Sora seem to act more like a force than actual people neither is bound by fate or time just the destiny that they wrote for themselves/(himself).

i like the idea that the master of masters could be sora because that means sora is responsible for *EVERYTHING* . and that makes his character arc way more sinister than it needs to be.
Considering how Nomura has constantly stated that KH is Sora's story...it makes sense in a crazy way. The main character Sora ends up being the primary antagonist and primary protagonist all at the same time. Crazy but fitting for this series.
And it adds so much more symbolism to Sora holding Xehanort chess piece at the end of the KH3 opening IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND while Xehanort just looks at Sora's piece as the last one standing thoughtfully. Sora was meant to be the pawn to Xehanort but in the end he was always in Sora's hand?? The symbolism??

The way the Lost Master reacts to when Xehanort mentioned the exam. And the way he talks about the clothes and controlling darkness. He just sounds so similar to sora. What I mean is his responses sound exactly like something sora would be plausible to say based off his experiences. Mannerisms and speech pattern too of course. But it could be brain.
It would be a nice turn MoM being Future Sora.

If that were true, that would mean Sora is actively seeking to make the dark more powerful. The dark wouldn't have grown as powerful as it is without the paranoia he created through his "book of prophecies" and the resulting 1st keyblade war as well as Xehanort's campaign. All of it was his doing while acting as if he was trying to stop it.

Another TH-camr had a theory that Master of Masters is an alternate version of both Yozora & Sora (including Yozora being a past version of Sora from a previous lifetime.) The evidence he used sounds legit & I would love it to be true especially considering Sora jokes around as much M.o.M but when serious Sora is kinda scary like Yozora so I’ll believe until we know the truth in this theory

My first guess is Sora as well, his future self that loses everything and everyone he loves including Kairi and Rikku. That or a part of Sora that turned evil..you know how Sora is connected to so many people and had Ventus sleeping inside of him... I mean think about how he took Vanitas to be his right hand man...maybe he knew that was the future MoM and wanted to keep him at his side and raise him as he raised and helped Xehanort become the evil person he is now.

Notice when he says his name the screen lights up and nothing is heard.
Lost Master = The Truth that has has been lost to the currents of time.
What are all scholars interested in? The truth. Master of Masters says he could be a scholar.
Xehanort mentions in particuilar "understanding hearts is difficult, more so the emotions within" (everyone has conflicting emotions that can disagree from one person to the next)
Master of Masters says verbatim "Truth can only be seen not heard" which is inextricably linked with
May your heart be your guiding key... which means you can only determine the truth with your own hearts vision and not what other outside influences tell you
Master of Masters tells Xehanort subtly that one's own heart or truth can defy even fate
Master of Masters says he can "easily lie" but chooses not to... very interesting why he doesn't outright lie and instead gets visibly upset when Xehanort doesn't get the hint
He also poses both alternatives to the answer Xehanort is looking for, is he ushering in world peace or planning the destruction of everything? The thing about the truth is that it could be both at the same time. This outcome can be achieved by destroying everything to rebuild a more peaceful world.
And thats exactly what Xehanort wanted! (Holy moly its gone full circle) because Xehanort says how the world needs a new leader, one to guide them and show the truth.
The MoM really pushed him so hard onto that path.

Thats pretty interesting if his name was light specially since we know that theres a being by the name darkness which is most likly vanitas. Darkness merged with ventus's heart during khux then was torn from him by xehanort into a seperate being and renamed vanitas in bbs.
It wouldn't be the first time we've seen an element take form. And he was in a war against those beings. Plus the reason he can't face the darkness without his cloak is because he'd die. Fade. It would also makes sense as to why the X-Blade choice him. I have no doubts he's the first Keyblade wielder

The manerisms, that very child like outburst at one point...honestly, I thought at first that MoM could've been Demyx because he mentioned how he is too much of a coward to take off his hood but after hearing his speech, him saying he is a lost master, and then telling Xehanort to let your heart be your guide, sealed it for me. MoM is Sora. And Im thinking that constant tampering with time and space is what corrupted Sora and led him to becoming the MoM.

@@AndrewUchiha4747 Because Xehanort by this point established that he vaguely remembered his time travel to the future. The fact that Nomura made SURE to establish that Young Xehanort recognises the coat and wearing it but can't understand why shows that, like Namine said, memories can't be erased but rather hidden away out of reach. Xehanort has his memories of the future still but they aren't chained and so he can't properly remember. His reaction to MoM's name, in this case, makes perfect sense. The last person Xehanort talked to and the Guardian he had the most experience with in the future was Sora. He reacts to MoM's name, Sora, just like how Lea still had the memories of Xion when Kairi made his hidden memories start to resurface. The light shined behind MoM is the exact same effect that Lea saw behind Kairi when he started to remember Xion, but unlike Kairi, the MoM's face is covered so we don't get a visual other than the light. In both scenes the light sudden appears behind the person triggering hidden memories and both the MoM and Kairi don't have their backs to any sort of light source, proving the effect to be intentional. Xehanort was surprised, like Lea was, because the MoM was dragging out those hidden memories and he knew he recognised the name but didn't know how. That's also why MoM says it will be "no harm" because Xehanort cannot remember Sora and why he brings up the whole "lost master" thing so Xehanort will think he heard the name in an old story that were his and Eraqus' "favourite" so he won't focus too much on it and instead be drawn to his curiosity over the Keyblade War.

I don't think it's Sora, because even though MoM tells Xehanort his name, MX in the future says "I never found out who that person was, and perhaps I never will." Now, one thing we all know about Xehanort is that he has a ridiculously astute memory-I don't buy for a second that he would remember that encounter from a lifetime ago, and not remember the name MoM gave him, much less put two and two together to realize that the man who set him on his path just happens to have the same name as the little brat foiling all his plans. That one detail makes me certain more than ever that MoM is a brand new character we've never seen before, or at least an incarnation of a character we know that we've not yet seen.
There's the whole issue of time paradoxes and timelines resetting that could screw with his memory though, and the MoM seems to allude to that since he found no harm in telling Xehanort his name.

I know this is off topic, but I do recall one of the rules of time travel in the Kingdom Hearts world that once you return to your proper time you forget everything mentally, but your heart remembers the experience feeling familiarity.
But this is the first time I've seen how it works. Pretty neat!

When in fact he's just a guy who is among everyone else who has already witnessed these events and then traveled through time to manipulate it to happen the exact way it was meant to happen. Why? Because he knows of something that only he can change in the near future and the only way to do that was to travel all the way back to the past and set these events up in the first place so that he can undo whatever caused him to go on this time traveling adventure in the first place. Thus creating an infinite time loop. He could be anyone. Sora, Riku, Roxas etc. But whoever he is he's among one of the main crew members we already know of, otherwise it wouldn't make sense to bleep out his name.
i think that i have finally put this all together, based upon all the evidence and clues we have been given.
firstly Master of Masters, tells Luxu that he was a young boy when the war began and that he didn't really have a master but that there were other keyblade weilders alongside him when the war took place. he tells Luxu also that the darkness was vastly different from what they know and that it took on a more familiar shape, meaning the darkness comes from the hearts of keyblade wielders. and that for a very long time now he has been fighting this darkness and is growing tired of the endless cycle which bore it.
now flash forward into time the Master meets up with one of his "future" disciples young Xehanort. and there tells him what his role and purpose in life is to be followed by revealing his true identity to Xehanort knowing full well of course that he'll eventually forget it due to time paradoxes and timelines ending and resetting.
The Master remains shrowded in mystery but the writers gave us one final clue "I'm a lost Master" meaning then that we can now pinpoint what era he is from he was from The Age of Fairytales, Kingdom Hearts X but not just in the sense that he was there as an adult but as a child too. but not just any child going back to his conversation with Luxu "there were many keyblade wielders back then.. but i was the only relevant one."
now let the sink in for just a minute.. "the only relevant one" The Master the reason he has no name (no pun intended) is because he is the player character.. the protagonist of Kingdom Hearts X.
knowing what we know of time travel this makes perfect sense, how else would he have known the foretellers, the war, kingdom hearts itself, the darkness, and the keyblade, if he himself didn't personally live it? but he did live it. he survived the war and went on to a new world line with the dandelions and then became a keyblade master and trained a line of successors in hopes the darkness would be defeated by one of their generations but it only got worser. until darkness engulfed the world and light expired, witnessing this thru his eye on No Name the keyblade engraved with his very own sight he saw events unfold. and so took it upon himself to rewrite history to go back in time and lead things in the direction he believes will lead to a stale mate between the forces of light and the forces of dark thus restoring balance and harmony to their shattered worlds.

Calling it now: MoM is Sora as an adult. He screwed with time travel epically and ended up that way, hence why he can never take off his black cloak, or else time and reality will come crashing down on him.
My guess as well, however I'm guessing in the future everyone he loves dies including Kairi and Rikku so he allowed the darkness to consume him while driving him mad. Maybe he can't change the future and regardless they will both die so he wants to just speed up the progress.
@@Ayveh 3:39 especially this point, where he reluctantly admits that the world needs Xehanort; thinking if MoM is indeed Sora, he time traveled to meet with Xehanort to see if he can persuade Xehanort into stopping or hindering his ambitions, and even admitting that a false light to dictate the future is a bad idea - even after this point, asking that Xehanort has the power to change and what he REALLY wants to do. And then saying how Xehanort will become so powerful that he won't need the coat; that could either be construed as the intuitions of a master, or of Sora already knowing that he couldn't alter Xehanort's destiny to a favorable course so he tells it like it's going to be.
That, and the fact that the only other person I really relate acting as animated and lively as this guy is Sora himself. Their mannerisms and the way they act are identical, taking adult maturity into account as well.
@@Feare909 Exactly! It adds a tragic twist to this scene as well because Sora, even after all Xehanort did and the pain he caused, still wants to give Xehanort a chance to change. To say no to destiny. To stop everything before it starts. But he knows he can't, that Xehanort is already on his destined path and no matter of intervention will stop that.

How about this. If he knew was sora, would not make sense for Xehanort to fight him, so he can prevent what's about to happen? MoM is chaos, and Xenahort said to him that order was needed.
@@Revenante_of_Asylum Yeah, I think so too. Remember, Xehanort isn't meant to remember things from when he time travelled but he KNOWS the coat and his goal of balance like Deja Vú. Young Xehanort's heart still has the memories of Sora in the future and those memories try to come to the surface the exact same way that Axel started to remember Xion with the exact same light effect and everything, but the MoM's coat might've blocked it out from forming fully. What if Xehanort didn't hear the name because his heart censored it and THAT is why he looks so shocked? They literally made the scene mirror Sora confronting Old Xehanort about destiny and Young Xehanort talking to Sora while sitting next to him in DDD when they discussed time trave with both sitting the same way. And Xehanort doesn't remember the name until Sora beats him in KH3 and does his speech, which is why he says "very well done" and "you remind me of an old friend". REMIND. Sora finally REMINDED Xehanort of the MoM and Xehanort only at the end realises that Sora will become the MoM and chooses to praise him for his deception before giving willingly.
Master of master is Sora's MoM.
