- If you thought starting quail farming entails a significant amount of money, you thought wrong. You can start small! A 200 layer quail is a good start. The 200 layer quail will become productive after 45 days- this simply means that you will start earning an income in 45 days time and onward. You will start another batch of layers then, and the expenses of second batch layers can now be taken cared of by the income from the first batch layers and the process goes on and on. Your quail farm will now be a self-sustaining one, no need to borrow money as capital. That’s just what I did!

Yay for the quail videos! I have 75 one week old baby quail and another 120 quail hatching on Saturday!!! Super excited and so grateful for every video you make . Processd 31 quail yesterday. Another 30 or so roosters to go . All my hens are laying eggs and I put up 7 quarts of pickled quail eggs. That's 350 eggs if anyone wanted to know. Putting back good food for my family!
Both male and female can lay an egg? Or what techniques did you do to make it cheaper and earn more?
@@noewhelzingalawa2317 Only the hens lay eggs.My quail love table scraps so I feed them as often as I can. Saying that,their feeders are always full of feed. The eggs more than pay for the feed and I can them into pickled eggs.I don't sell them. It's just a healthy way to have really good food. Even a dozen hens is a good start. Good luck!!
Dexter because of you I started raising quail. I figured if you can do it with a homemade incubator I can do it too! I have had losses due to predators but I am getting ready to start saving eggs for the incubator for my second batch. Thank you for your encouragement!

I went outside and made the feed tray you are using, seems to be working well. Thanks! *update* I added an upside down "V" shaped roof/cover, just high enough that they cannot fit inside to scratch and poop.

while I disagree about keeping any animal on the wire as it injures their feet over time and gives them sores, you take exceptionally well care of your quail ensuring that their cages are well cleaned unlike mass egg production places like industries. I'm also ordering quail soon to have for home use! Very excited. I come from the USA in WV.
