I give my bunny new water every day, but she refuses to drink any. Is it because she gets enough hydration from food? She eats fruits and vegetables and sometimes treats. Does she still need to drink water? I may have to force her if so.
First of all rabbits depends on the choice of the owner/farmer feeds differently....if fed only dry matters (Hays, pellets etc) it could be true of dihydration...but rabbits that r feds with wet/juicy substance (green grass, fruits, veggies etc) may not suffer the same!!! I have rabbits kept more than 10months without any water lives without any sign of problem!!! well they are daily fed green grasses (dragon weeds, water spinach, doob grass etc)
Same , i feed my rabbit only juicy veggies and also offer him water but he doesn’t drink it that much only if the weather is wayyyy to hot he would drink some
I don't think information is anyway based on any practical experiment. I have kept my furry friends with no water for more than 10months and there has been no sign of any thing that's could be alarming...nor when I give them water do they seem like they want/excited/need for any!! This video is interesting how it's not what it is in reality. Well I am no expert but always open to learn ...therefore I might agree when talked about harms of giving no water to rabbit but literally to say it's fatal would be damn wrong.
