From my knowledge it should be the original AWD system from the E30, but could also be from the E46.
Edit: more likely E46

@@Oxtermite 330xi. They also have a 325xi. Not sure it utilizes zf trans parts in the Xi models. These all wheel drive systems were not made for tons of power. Probably better off using the zf trans and a upgrade med diff. I have been using my original 318ti diff for 9 years and it's fine but won't last if you beat on it plus highway speeds are reving at 4k rpm. Very annoying after a while. Great for hooning though.
