It's not actually live, the other videos have some vocal overdubs and there is a disappearing cameraman at work in this video methinks.

0:36, camera shaking as someone is holding it. Immediately after nothing in front of him.
luke mccann oh jesus. that's some great work sherlock. 1:37 there's a black window behind the drummer where the camera is obviously placed, 0:36 it's called zooming in, which makes small movements with your hand seem much more exaggerated. If I were Sylosis, I'd take all these "it's not live!!!" claims as a compliment. They're so tight live, it's literally unbelievable.
Dude me too! It's cool to see them (or any band) play in their home studio, no frills or special effects. Kinda adds to their legitimacy.

This is so good that doesn't even sound like a live footage...but, then again, how can you expect less from Sylosis?
Sylosis is my favorite metal band, they should be headlining tours.
I love how they using "vintage" guitars, basses and amps sound more brutal than almost every single band nowadays.

It's rare that I listen to a band I haven't heard before and instantly like them. This is live studio and I love it. Decided to comment as this is the third song from the session I've listened to and loved.
Although I listen to bands that have plenty of screaming, I didn't give Sylosis a chance when I first heard them a month or so back. However, I've been hearing great things about this band and decided to try again. I'm pleased to say that the musicianship is so tight and refreshing compared to a lot of these new bands that come out with horrible releases that I'm glad I gave these guys a second chance. I'll get used to his screaming and be able to discern his words more easily as time passes, as I feel is usual with bands that use harsher vocal styles. I will say his lyrics are quite well written and his vocal compliment the aggressive nature of the music.
I definitely recommend the album Conclusion of an Age. To me it's Sylosis's best album!
+Rick Dee I will most definitely check that as I have only heard Dormant Heart and Monolith. I am digging everything I have heard from Sylosis thus far, however.

@@Algastar Actually, I feel like they started losing it on In Waves. That was the last album of theirs I got, and while it's got some really great songs, it's not as good as what came before it, and nothing after it has been any good to me.
@@mark7166 I actually really like their newest album Sin and the Sentence, but to each their own. And I do agree with what you said about in waves, but the newest one was a step in the right direction for me

Great band and the vocals are amazing. Usually the vocals kill it for me for newer metal bands. Instrumentals are always good too. Im glad I found this band today.

Ok, let's all take a deep breath. Are we calm and relaxed? Good!
We all know that there is one reason, and one reason only for this track having been made. I know you may feel, the ever so universal knee jerk reaction of disagreement. But you are wrong. No need to feel all distraught and stuff, this is just the way, the unrelenting brutality of the most honest truth feels. The riff at 1:54 is the why of all of this. It is the correct answer. In other words, it is the reason this track was made.
One might argue that this riff may be the reason sylosis formed as a band, but I will hold here as this is only speculation.
To enclose: Yes I am very drunk.

Does anyone know if they played with a backing track on this? That chirp in the guitar part starting at around 1:53 (which i absolutely love btw) is present. Just trying to figure out if its just the aggressiveness of the downpick or something else.
S B do you mean the pick attack? Think that is the ‘live’ guitar. They are using a backing track but as far as I can hear only for the effects in the background after your timestamp.

Its actually not at all, Strife is in C# tuning, this is in E standard. Long long way off.
