Hi Jay, many thanks for your comment I really do appreciate it, have a look at my cooking channel The Barbecue Walk of Flame, and see my Weber Q in action, Cheers.
@@WillyFilmit I do appreciate the time you donated to educate consumers . I bought a very expensive model and I like it, but I do not love it. I bought this model and it came to about 900 Can $ The wheels are too small and the grates are finicky .www.homedepot.ca/product/broil-king-baron-420-4-burner-40-000-btu-natural-gas-grill/1001530807
Hi Paul I have not used lard to season the grates on my Weber Q, in fact they have never been seasoned. At the end of a cook I run it at maximum to burn off any debris and then brush them off, occasionally I spray them with Weber Non Stick spray and thats all.
take your burner out and clean it inside and out. a plumbing bush can be used to clean inside and a torch cleaner tip can be used to clean the burner holes. rinsing out the burner tube will reveal alot of ash and carbon. It should light off like new. 10+ year Q200 and 8year Q1200 owner here.
Thanks for your comment I really do appreciate it, when you get your Weber Q, I sincerely hope you get as much pleasure from it as I do, it is indeed an incredible bit of kit. Please check out my cooking channel The Barbecue Walk of Flame, here you'll find some tasty morsels cooked on my Weber Q 3200.
Thanks very much for your review, all the way from Australia. I found it extremely useful. My old beef master 3 burner has fallen apart after 10 years of service. I’ve ordered a Weber Q 3200 today in fact and I hope I get just as long if not longer service out of it. Thanks again. Excellent review.
Glad you found it useful, its still going strong and I hope to get quite a few more years out of it yet. You can see it in use on my other channel The Barbecue Walk of Flame.
Hi Greg, thanks for your comment, I do think the Q3200 is an understated model in the Weber range, mine is still going strong after many years of use, although, there is quite a bit of enamel worn off the cooking grates, hopefully I'll get another season out of them.
@@gregbrassington2120 Hi Greg, I'm defiantly going to get another season of of my grates, Weber replacements are over £100.00 a bit pricier than I thought, I can get non Weber at about half price but I think I'll stick with Weber as the originals have given good service.
I love the grill but struggle to roll it 10 feet in and out of our covered patio each time we cook. Yesterday I hoisted it onto a 4-wheeled dolly so it's now easy to move but the legs barely fit on the standard-sized dolly frame (18/30")... which makes me a bit nervous! I've considered various retrofits, but think extending the dolly frame is the best solution. Otherwise, like you, I live near the beach in Florida, so greatly appreciate the plastic and aluminium construction. All suggestions are welcome!
Hi Justin, thank you for your comment I really do appreciate it, if you're into barbecue, do have a look at my cooking channel The Barbecue Walk of Flame, thanks for your sub.
Love my Q3200 even though unfortuntly, it melted through the plastic framework that holds the shell on the base. I bought my Q3200 back in 2016 and have many years of enjoyment from it. Last week I decided to "clean" the shell, grates and burners, no rust, all good. After the annual cleaning I decided to turn both burners on "max" to burn off any residual from the grate cleaning (this was not a good idea). After about 5 minutes the thermostat indicated 500F and all smoke had cleared. Turned the Q off completed and came back an hour later and noticed that the grill was no longer "level". Hmmm....what could that be? To my surprise after furthur research I discovered that many owners have posted articles about this issue. The root cause of this melting was most likely due to user error and the following: cooking with no "load" and the accelerated heat due to the Venturi effect associated with winds passing through the cover openings. I hope to rebuild my Q3200 as it has been one of the best BBQ for the buck I've owned. Perhaps I can find a used one to replace the melted frame and use it for spare parts. Just be aware that high temperatures could result in a negative outcome. Nice review, I agree with your long term findings as well. Thank you for posting the video. Great audio and video editing! Gratefully.
Many thanks for your comment, there's a lesson here for me, as when I've finished cooking I usually turn everything full on to burn off any residue. It is so easy to forget the grill is still on.
@@WillyFilmit Yes, it's not a matter of "If" it will happen but "when". I priced the replacement Q3200 melted frame today with Weber $250 US. Perhaps I can find a "used" Q3200 or invest in the future into an all metal Weber product such as a Spirit II model.
Great video, thanks! I inherited one of these when my brother passed. Is there a way to attach the propane tank to the cart so that they can be moved together? I seem to recall a part that does this but can't find it anywhere online.
Hi Katie, thanks for your comment, on my Weber Q 3200 there is a wire cradle underneath the barbecue attached to the legs of the cart, its designed to hold a 5Kg gas bottle, to secure it in place a webbing strap which is easy to lose, I've lost mine as it won't take a 10Kg bottle. I hope the info is useful, do have a look at my cooking channel, The Barbecue Walk of Flame, you'll see it is a versatile bit of kit.
Hi Lucas, as far as I can remember when I put my Q 3200 together, there are four legs which I think absorb some of the heat, these are bolted onto the cart. Once constructed the Weber Q 3200 is not designed to used without the cart. I hope this info is useful, many thanks for your comment, it's much appreciated. Cheers
Many thanks for your comment, I will look into the options available, on my channel header on the right hand side there is a button marked Barbecue Walk of Flame, which when clicked will take you to my other channel.

Awe man I agree. By far the worst grille I ever had in the portability issue. Kills my back and the shuffling if the feet. Crazy.
Im going to look at adding an axle and wheels and yet maintain level. Then just lift here and there to turn.
If you push from the wheel side tipping it at 45 degrees, that is the best way I have moved it around without having to shuffle it.
Great video! Very informative :)

Would you buy this model in 2020 if you were in the market for a new grill? Thanks
Yes I think I would, although I'm not in the market for a new barbecue the Q3200 continues to meet my requirements, and still performs well.
