Russell, The Citizen you referenced is an iconic watch. It featured in a very popular french movie called " Le grand bleu". It was worn by the actor Jean Reno who played the role of a professional diver and the movie was directed by Luc Besson. He wore it on his wrist during the whole movie.
Vertex M36 is going to be my 2025 purchase as I’m getting married in June. My grandparents were married for 76 years and met in ‘45 as my grandpa was stationed in London where he met my grandma at a British Legion Dance during WWII. Think it would be a nice tribute piece with sentimental value.
First - proud of you for considering a Citizen. 🙂 And second - you dashed my hopes on that Invicta I've had my eye on. HA! So, I do want a new Longines (probably the Spirit Zulu) ... But I'm with you - there's no telling what the year will bring! I might even buy a pre-owned watch or two. 😲 Great show - very fun!
Love all the choices, but I have to give a shout out to the Pelly 39. It's such an underrated diver. It's probably the best daily wear I've ever owned.
No more watches for me for a little while. Just come back from Japan a couple of days ago and I bought seven G-Shocks, One Seiko Field Master, as well as Kuoe Old Smith.
Congrats on 5 years! Feels like 10 😜 great goal watch and I would go with the Pelagos 39 but I also think they will release a GMT version this year. Awesome collection as always!
No plans other than to wear what I have and to see what Ali Express comes up with.. Looks like they are getting into more and more interesting dials, which is what I enjoy. I prefer the Squale that you got rid of more than a boring black. One doesn't need too many black watches.
Citz Aqualand is the awesome line, but I still want Promaster Air, and I'll complete my Promaster collection (Land, Sea, Regatta), maybe one more Henry Archer and a G-Shock, and also a custom watch by my own idea
I always pay special attention to your reviews because we have the same wrist size, so whatever suits you well, might suit me well too. I tried the Pelagos 39 at an AD and boy, that watch fits like a dream! Not a huge fan of the snowflake handset, but it’s a watch literally made for a 16 cm wrist!
Well, I was considering the same Seiko SSK for my birthday, but... Tissot Seastar GMT in two-tone took my heart. Maybe it is so because it will be my 39 year of life, so already time for two-tone in more practical quartz😂
I Absolutely love this channel , For many reasons as well as the fun factor ,it has informative and detailed information on the watch’s , plus there’s often background History on the brands too. Flipping awesome 🙌
Can't go wrong with Citizen Aqualand. Another one I'd suggest, that I really have come to love, is the Promaster Land Chronograph Green Dial CB5921-59X. I got that last Spring, and since put it on a medium brown leather rally strap and it's just perfect when I want something other than my usual Promaster Dive watch. Really striking dial and have gotten lots of comments on it.
The SSK023 is incredible. It's the cheapest watch I own and I've had it since the day Teddy B. started selling them. It's the watch I've owned the longest now. You will not be disappointed. I also own the white Seiko SSC and it's brilliant. Both are fantastic choices.
Have you considered taking a closer look at Edifice? I mean it's Casio and there are (finally) some really nice newer models out there. I wouldn't have thought falling in love with a Casio Edifice, but it happened to me (EFR-574D-1AV)
If you get another Seiko GMT you can wear one on each wrist n track twice as many time zones...or get a Casio FingerWatch for each finger n sell your GMTs
I recently buy watchdives explorer homage great watch. I also buy aliexpress watches from pagani design, addiesdive, watchdives, baltany, militado watches in future I like meca quartz watches battery power you don't have to set time every day
Longine Big Eye chrono...in titanium...two birds with one stone...also has a lovely blue dial. Classic chrono, reminiscent of a flieger style watch IMHO.
Great video! Aqualand!!! I had a feeling when you had such a positive reaction to mine on the discord… SUCH a cool watch. One of my first thoughts when I had it in hand was RUSS WOULD LOVE THIS 💪🏽
Have to be honest and the two Seiko's you mentioned at the beginning are no better than what you already have in your very nice collection. Citizen have made some amazing watches over the last few years. Would love to own a Chronomaster as it's one of my grail watches. Looking forward to the Casio pac-man releases this year as used to spend hours of my holidays on the table top gaming pac-man arcade, happy days! Already purchase a CW C60 Trident Pro 300 in the sale this year and it's bloody awesome. Think I'll only pick up 3 or 4 watches this year as I'm seeing very few gaps in my collection these days (which is finally a good thing).
Get the Pelagos 39 or the Destro version, both fabulous. Personally I want the monochrome BB on a jubilee. Weirdly I have been wearing my Tuna on a rubber strap for weeks, its got something that keeps pulling me back in and the Kinetic movement and subtle gmt hand work so well. Great show Russ, cheers
I have the pelagos 39, and that watch is my GADA watch. Perfect size, perfectly minimalistic. I just love it. FXD is a great choice too in blue. Maybe I would have to buy that too. 🙈
The Tudor Pelagos FXD looks like a stunning field or free time watch. It’s screaming for fun and action. My latest purchase was a Casio G-Shock GBD-200-1 (from the G-Squad series). It has a couple of negative things. One being that the maximum delay for backlight to to turn of is three seconds, which is too short when navigating it’s menus in the dark. Another is that it’s flight mode for BlueTooth goes back off after some while (don’t how long) - maybe fine for some users, but bad for those who really want to manually choose when to activate BlueTooth to receive notifications from the phone.
I can't say I have any big anniversaries this year, but I am saving up for a very large purchase (for me) of a GADA/pilot watch. Thinking neo-vintage like a Mark XV since I have tiny wrists. Regardless, I doubt I'll have enough saved up to make the purchase this year. More like next year or 2027. It's really more of an exercise in patience and determination. To prove that I can save for something that means more to me than all of the little things I waste my money on in a year. Going to be tough!
I like the Pelagos in matte blue. Or, for the same money, you could do a Christopher Ward C60 Trident Lumière and a Citizen Promaster Fujitsubo NB6026-56L. Meets all those titanium needs.
I’m considering the Seiko SPB451, the blue reimagined 62MAS. Only hesitancy I have is the movement’s accuracy. I assume a regulation from a local watch shop would fix any issues, but I wish Seiko would do that themselves. We’ll see
I brought a watch to mark my 50th a couple of years ago …. A Tissot sea star chronograph, I know not one of your favourite brands 😂 but like you say buy what you like .
My thoughts on the Pelagos options? Well I'd go for the 39 as it's a tad more versatile, I put me money where me gob is and bought one a while back. It is very light though but that's what I wanted. With some of my diver watches that were on the large side and pretty heavy I had to alternate which wrist I had them on as one of my arms was getting longer than the other. As for a new 2025 watch I'll wait and see.. probably at least one more Casio or G-Shock or both.
Knowing your taste, surely the Longines to come through your door is the same as my next purchase... The Avigation Big Eye Chrono? I want the black dial steel, but the blue dial titanium is just as beautiful......
Seiko SBSC009. Was not able to find one in stock in Japan a few weeks ago. None at the Seiko or Wako stores in Ginza. Didn't see any at Bic Camera or Yodobashi. Will try again in February.
great episode russel ..for me a couple of hsnharts rhe hd12 preventor and the 415 es and then i want to see the new farve leuba deep blue revival diver .when there in the shops
I agree, everyone need more Casio watches. I want to increase my collection of Casio watches in 2025, as well as some more MoonSwatch when Swatch release new models (or Blancpain X Swatch Fifty Fathoms).
I’ve always been intrigued by the Doxa Sub 200t and 300t. I need to try them on to see what fits better. As an older gent I’d get the Caribbean or Sharkhunter. Orange is too gaudy for my liking. 😉
Sounds like you'll have a good 2025, well apart from deciding which watches to sell, I hate that part of this hobby. I'm 60 this year and my wife has given permission to buy a much more expensive watch than my normal sub £250 level. I'm hoping to pick up a quartz Grand Seiko my dream watch 🤞
Celebrating my 30th anniversary in April with my first and only Rolex, the Explorer 40. Assuming I get the call….which ya know….who knows. Anyway, great vid as always!!! 😎👍🏼
Seiko has too many choice and I'm feeling lost into it. About Longines, I have a Hydroconquest since 11 years. Great value for money. With it I did scuba diving, climbed mountains, drove motorbike in dirt. Resistance, quality, efficient. Lookalike a Sub. This is certainly the watch I would keep if I need to choose only one in my collection. New purchase done and coming in April, (can't wait it) : Spaceone black titanium tellurium, absolutely gorgeous. Next one will be my grail chronograph : Breguet Type XX 60's/70's. I also thinking about the G shock 5600 dw instead one leaving my collection soon.
Marloe Coniston Trackday for me Russ, pre ordered 14 months ago, hopefully arriving next month. Gorgeous watch in 1970’s Porsche 917 Gulf racing powder blue and orange colours. If you have any influence on Clockwork Republic can you get them to do a rubber strap for the SRPB153 Green Willard reissue, I have a dark blue Clockwork Republic on my SKX009 and it is awesome thanks to yours heads up.
You'd consider buying the new GShock Heritage series (GW-5000HS in white), the DW-5000R seems to have a poor LCD (on every review I saw). But you're the only judge (as Madam TMWC) 😁
I personally would get the pelagos 39 over the fxd. This year I plan on getring one of my grails. A Yema superman on a fishcale bracelet. Also some quirky pieces (Timex T80 space invaders and Casio ABL-100WEPC-1BJR pac-man). Probably a couple of vibtage pieces too. Seiko Lord Matic, and either a seiko 6139 helmet, or citizen 8110 Spider (or both 😂). Will also probably get a few Aliexpress watches too, like the San Martin leyenda compressor and Cronos skyline l6028m
I’ve been wanting a Type A Flieger for years now, and I really want to experience a Unitas 6498 movement, so I am looking to order a Tourby 15th Anniversary Pilot sometime in the next few months. Still debating if I should pay extra for their extra movement finishing or not. That will probably be my only purchase this year since I don’t plan to sell anything. Eventually a Pelagos 39, Doxa Sub 300 Carbon, and Sinn 856 UTC are all on my shortlist though
I got the DW5000R a few weeks ago and I love it. It's very comfortable, the little curved parts of the band near the case make it mold to your wrist perfectly. It might not have all the functions of a 5600, but the simplicity of the functions give it a sort of minimalistic feel
Been over a year since I've purchased a watch (other than a cheap casio) so started the year purchasing the Seiko Arnie and the Seiko Sumo SPB325J1. The prices on both watches were too good to not buy them (saved about over £600). Going to hold off buying anymore till later in the year and wait for a good deal on the Seiko SCC813P1 or the Hamilton Murph 38mm
My first watch of 2025 will be a Seiko golden tuna hamarge build . Parts are in the air as I type so should be delivered by the postie early next week . Black tuna case with gold bezel ring ( black with white ceramic bezel insert ) gold crown ( signed with a black S) and gold alan bolts to hold on black case guard , nh35 movement ( date only as I don't like day/date dials ) black 22 mm shark mesh bracelet will be fitted with a gold clam clasp. I'm going to try and limit myself to 1 build a month so I will only be ordering new parts on the first of the month .
Do you primarily sell through eBay? Am wanting to consolidate my collection but don’t want to wait ages consigning them to a watch dealer to sell, but likewise don’t want to get stiffed on eBay fees
We're in the USA and live in a travel trailer, a caravan you would call it. We have a strict rule about everything, for anything we buy we need to throw something out. Or sell, or donate. Ok, I've cheated about watches but don't tell my wife.
IMO You have to own Citizen Promaster “Fugu” special edition (one of many special editions) for example NY0161 63L. I’m a Seiko boy, but I never took it off my wrist since I got it in December 2024. I usually wear two watches as I have home on two different continents. Therefore Citizen is now permanently dedicated to show US time and date…
I'm thinking perhaps a Tudor black bay in blue in 2025, depends on the stock market... I bought a Longines GMT and a Hamilton khaki mechanical this year. Also bought the wife a Mido.
I am currently saving up for my visit to London where I hope to purchase a watch from the Time and Tide Discovery Studio. It's also my 20th wedding anniversary and my wife has offered to buy me a Christopher Ward. Get in there

Looks like a busy year for you and some good shows for us. 👍
Thank you my friend!
Nice stuff MWC - My two watch purchases this are…
1. CWC Quartz diver
2. Seiko baby alpinist
Perfection!
@ thanks mate. 👍🏼

That 1521 Militare Squale with the batons is just fantastic.
Russell!! I’m glad you finally decided on the Aqualand haha, on your SNJ033 video, I remember we bickered about reliability
Happy 10yr Anniversary buddy!!
Citz Aqualand is the awesome line, but I still want Promaster Air, and I'll complete my Promaster collection (Land, Sea, Regatta), maybe one more Henry Archer and a G-Shock, and also a custom watch by my own idea

The Seiko Landmaster caught my eye - until I saw the price... Cheers Russ, great fun as always!
Well, I was considering the same Seiko SSK for my birthday, but... Tissot Seastar GMT in two-tone took my heart. Maybe it is so because it will be my 39 year of life, so already time for two-tone in more practical quartz😂
Got the ring watch last year from Japan. As a Casio fan, it's just so cool
I bought that Seiko field GMT recently and it's hardly left my wrist. It's currently on a green nato and it looks and feels fantastic.
I Absolutely love this channel , For many reasons as well as the fun factor ,it has informative and detailed information on the watch’s , plus there’s often background History on the brands too. Flipping awesome 🙌
My next watch will be the Squale 1521 pvd in black with the mesh bracelet. That watch is fire 🔥 also congrats on 5 years 👍

Tudor Ranger
Longines Spirit Zulu Time
Black Bay 54
Longine Big Eye chrono...in titanium...two birds with one stone...also has a lovely blue dial. Classic chrono, reminiscent of a flieger style watch IMHO.

Your casio shirt is cool as hell 🔥🔥🔥
❤ from 🇩🇪...😌
The only one I'm currently thinking about is the Tissot Gentleman with the ice blue dial. 💙 😁
Great video mr mwc, some nice watch’s coming, will be interesting to see what gets the chop out of your collection.
All the best Gaz

Russell, have you considered the Longines Legend Diver 39? Lots of heritage, and a beautiful design!
I’ve reviewed it man. But not a patch on my 58’s imo
I can't say I have any big anniversaries this year, but I am saving up for a very large purchase (for me) of a GADA/pilot watch. Thinking neo-vintage like a Mark XV since I have tiny wrists. Original blue MN fxd for sure
The manga G-Shock you have on your wrist here fits you best and is the only watch you'll ever need. You can sell the rest. :^)
‘Hoping to pick up the Yema Skin Diver slim limited edition 🤞🏼
Longines Legend Diver on beads of rice. Black dial. Can’t beat it!
I think the citizen panda looks better than the seiko the dial has a cool texture
Knowing your taste, surely the Longines to come through your door is the same as my next purchase... The Avigation Big Eye Chrono? I want the black dial steel, but the blue dial titanium is just as beautiful......
I’ve got my eyes on Omega this year 😊
i'm gonna buy black dial Tudor 1926 this year
MWC, I’d love for you to take a look at Henry Archer. They have a 38mm GADA line that I’m really stoked about, specifically, their amber dial!!!!
i am planning to buy a Orient three star SK King diver
I need that rubber bracelet for my speedy 41mm
Praying for any of Tudors ;-)
Seiko SBSC009. Was not able to find one in stock in Japan a few weeks ago. None at the Seiko or Wako stores in Ginza. Didn't see any at Bic Camera or Yodobashi. Will try again in February.
great episode russel ..for me a couple of hsnharts rhe hd12 preventor and the 415 es and then i want to see the new farve leuba deep blue revival diver .when there in the shops
Happy 2025 MWC. For me it’s the FXD - no contest. The almost perfect dial plus who it was designed for - you can’t get more tooly/tactical than that!
I agree, everyone need more Casio watches. I want to increase my collection of Casio watches in 2025, as well as some more MoonSwatch when Swatch release new models (or Blancpain X Swatch Fifty Fathoms).
Great vid Russ 👍
In my humble opinion:
Pelagos - FXD
Squale - 2001 Heritage Michel Laval Limited Edition
I’ve always been intrigued by the Doxa Sub 200t and 300t. I need to try them on to see what fits better. As an older gent I’d get the Caribbean or Sharkhunter. Orange is too gaudy for my liking. 😉
You should consider a Longines Conquest VHP
Hi Russ, this year I will definitely be buying a Formex reef, and maybe a Rolex.😎
Im waiting for the Casio Pac Man F91W!
I just purchased my 2nd G Shock 5610 with the negative display
What about the silver Tudor for the 5 year?
I’d love a blue pelagos 39, would tudor ever do one though🤔
This citizen aqualand is great watch, i use it for diving , is molt usefulll than the new models
I HAVE to get that g shock rerelease. I’m with you
The citizen Blue Angels real or cheap 'homage' is the one i would be considering...
Perhaps a brand new release from our very own MWC! 🤞
Shame Clockwork Republic arent currency making straps for the Seiko Slim Turtle..😢
Yeah, I'd love one for my SRPH17K1 tortoise, but they don't make them.
good, you need to do it
what size is that blue pelagos you say?
GET THE WHITE DIAL Seiko GMT Field
Question, where is the best place to buy a used watch?? Not ebay please.
Getting the new San Martin sn0144 in grey or black you can get 36mm 39mm or 42 mm great watch.
My next watch is the Casio ws 2000h step tracker it's a very good looking digital watch ☺️
You'd consider buying the new GShock Heritage series (GW-5000HS in white), the DW-5000R seems to have a poor LCD (on every review I saw).
But you're the only judge (as Madam TMWC) 😁
Might get the mtgb3k by Casio gshock if they don't gimme a new mrg by summer
I personally would get the pelagos 39 over the fxd.
This year I plan on getring one of my grails. A Yema superman on a fishcale bracelet.
Also some quirky pieces (Timex T80 space invaders and Casio ABL-100WEPC-1BJR pac-man).
Probably a couple of vibtage pieces too. Seiko Lord Matic, and either a seiko 6139 helmet, or citizen 8110 Spider (or both 😂).
Will also probably get a few Aliexpress watches too, like the San Martin leyenda compressor and Cronos skyline l6028m

the aqualand is also on my list. But too expensive here in brazil, around 500 usd, belive it or not

The Discord-gang will hold you to it this time!
Cheers Kees!!!!!
Do you primarily sell through eBay? Am wanting to consolidate my collection but don’t want to wait ages consigning them to a watch dealer to sell, but likewise don’t want to get stiffed on eBay fees
really want a Sinn103 or 104

I'm thinking perhaps a Tudor black bay in blue in 2025, depends on the stock market... I bought a Longines GMT and a Hamilton khaki mechanical this year. Also bought the wife a Mido.
The upcoming Casio A130WE has my attention....👀
Yeah!!!! Ana-Digi all the way!!! :)
I am currently saving up for my visit to London where I hope to purchase a watch from the Time and Tide Discovery Studio. It's also my 20th wedding anniversary and my wife has offered to buy me a Christopher Ward. Get in there
