This is exactly what it was :)
I was part of a gathering in Purmela, TX. It consisted of mostly Casita travel trailers and other fiberglass trailers. All 100 or so rigs were boodocking in a cow pasture. So much fun and what a spectacular eclipse it was.

We saw the eclipse here in Indiana and I cried also. The majesty of God!!!!!!!
It is such an awe inspiring moment to experience 🙌🏻
A large group of my family rented several camping spots at Lake Erie in Ohio. It was the most majestic experience of my life. I just never could have imagined the difference between seeing a 100% solar eclipse versus even a 99%. Being with family just added so much more to it. We just had to hug each other. I'll never, ever forget it. If I'm still alive, I'll be there for the one in 2044. Thank you for sharing.

This was so much fun I can't even begin to explain with this being our very first rally ever it was Amazing to say the least. I was the one only one to taste Nathan's chilli and it wasn't that bad at all.
So glad you were there with us! We had a great time! His chili would have been better warm I think 😅
We live in Ohio and my husband works 45 minutes away in Indiana were they had the full 4 minutes. At our house the eclipse was 2 minutes but my husbands work had an eclipse party so our daughters and their families joined us in Indiana. As my 12 year old Granddaughter said "It was the coolest thing ever!" Happy Birthday Hensley! I have been watching since you first started your RV journey and I have enjoyed visiting many of the places that you have shown on here.

I was fortunate to be able to witness the 2017 one without leaving my house in Missouri! I invited friends to come over but nobody could make it since it was a workday. It was awesome and the picture I took looked just like yours. So happy that your children could witness it. I remember sitting in a box as a child watching the shadow through a hole😀

we drove from Dothan AL. to Jonesboro AR to see the Eclipse it was really Magical I will remember for a lifetime ,,, I felt the coming together to enjoy the Eclipse too ,was nice to hear the cheering and everyone excited about same thing with so much division in our great country right now .. thank you for having the shirts too we got two will be a great memory to keep! ♥🌘

What a fun time! We were in Texas for the eclipse, too, boondocking in our daughter's driveway. We were about 35 miles north of Austin. We saw the 2017 eclipse in South Carolina, now this one. It's really an amazing experience.

That is some restroom that you can see out of, but they can't see you. I see it has some kind of mini-split device up there, but does it have a light for nighttime use? They should put a baby-changing table.

Thanks for posting! We watched the 2017 eclipse near Kelly, Ky (look up Kelly Kentucky’s little green men) and couldn’t wait to see the 2024 eclipse. We got a beautiful clear day near Carbondale, Il. It was amazing and got to share it with the most important people…. My wife and kids. ….An eclipse is truly an awe inspiring event. We love your family centered videos!

Amazing it's been two weeks already. In NH, a celestial event almost always guarantees wall to wall clouds, but not this year. We scored wall to wall sunshine. We had 95+% totality, but it was still super cool.
It’s crazy that it’s come and gone so fast! So glad the clouds moved so you could get a good view!
Saw the total eclipse from my own yard. Was stunning. Temperature change and darkness was real! Loved it. Can understand the reason you wanted to see again.

I'm glad someone out there is as big a sap as I am! I was crying when the kids were writing cards for the children's hospital, crying with Marissa every time she got emotional (I think as a mom when our kids are young we get emotional thinking about the memories our kids will have!) - and crying with the people sharing this experience! I'm planning on getting my house on the market next year and getting on the road that fall, and I can't wait! Love you guys and your beautiful family! If you'd like an extra grandma (I'll be 67 this summer) I'm game!!

WOW! We drove to northern NH from Massachusetts, 5 hrs to see totaliity with no clouds. I actually think you guys had just the right amount of clouds to make it look really cool! Talk about a Ring of Fire with clouds looking like smoke!! I'll be 74 for the next total eclipse and I hope to be able to make the trip to see it onle last time. What a great idea for a meetup too! If you ever want to have one in New England I we'll be there!

The 2017 total eclipse was a first and only for me. Myself and a few friends, plus a very few others found a remote location in a forest clearing in the eastern Oregon mountains right on the path of totality. It was like nothing I have ever experienced. it's hard to convey what the light does as totality approaches.
It’s something you have to experience!

We got to sit in our own backyard for this one! In 2017, we traveled to Kearney MO. My husband and both have Twice in a Lifetime t-shirts to commemorate viewing both events.

Next Total Solar Eclipse in The United States will be March 30, 2033 across Northwest Alaska. Totality will be about 2.5 minutes ish. Then Aug 22, 2044 across Montana, North Dakota, & South Dakota. Then the largest path will be August 12, 2045 across Northern California to Florida. My Bucket list Eclipse. (I was in Oregon for 2017), will be July 22, 2028 from Northwest to South East Australia with a Totality of over 5 minutes. Great stuff and thanks for sharing. I was at a HipCamp location in Maynard Arkansas, clear blue skies, didn't book until Saturday, two days before to guess the cloud cover.🙂 Really enjoyed the video. Thanks.

Where I am there was only 25% eclipse and it was overcast as well. I did see a total eclipse as a child in the 70's and I didn't remember until the other day. It's awe making.

When we observed the eclipse in 2017, all that was on my mind was how great God is, and how that the light dispels the darkness. There are many scriptures concerning the greatness of God and how that He is the light in heaven, He is the One who created the light that we all enjoy. Thank you for your video.

No more BBQ for our family. After watching Earthlings Documentary we became unintentional vegetarians. But we love RV life and can just add more complexity to our traveling looking for vegetarian meals. LOL

@@LessJunkMoreJourney No issue with others making their choices, sorry if it came off that way. Just know being old meat eaters…RV life and BBQ is normal. Its very hard to create easy meals on the road without meat. Grilled food is delicious but no point in a grill really if theres not much we can use it for. I mentioned the documentary because its how we became vegetarians. People are generally curious as to our why.
In our case doing animal sanctuary type work, for us it felt hypocritical to eat meat.

A woman who was new to the RV world managed to get herself killed just 8 miles away from the campsite they planned on going to to watch the eclipse here in NY. She decided to ride in the trailer and when the door started to rattle as her husband was at highway speed, she decided to open the door. It opened and pulled her out of the Airstream and onto the pavement at highway speed !!!

@@LessJunkMoreJourney Worse was that her daughter was inside with her and saw it occur! Not sure how I would handle that. I know the first thing she said was that Airstream shouldn't make their doors that way and that they were at fault. Might not be a bad thing for the RV community to maybe do a safety thing about dos/don'ts with an RV?
