This has always been the most encouraging song for me. No matter what obstacles life throws up, this OST always gives me the determination to keep on moving forward.
Well I wanted them extended just as much as you did, and I had the game, a microphone input on my PC, audacity, and a basic video editor, so I thought, "If I don't do it, who will?" and so I took it upon myself to get these the extended treatment they deserveed.
I played this in the background while finishing up my final project, and WOW does this music hold its weight. I know it sounds a little bit like an outdated midi track, but man, the emotions associated with this song have stayed with me all these years. Fighting Mashtooth was a challenge in this game, and I remember how this song came on at a moment where all your friends came together and encouraged you, preparing you for the last stand. I'm a little embarrassed to admit it, but I just completely welled up with tears while listening to this. It's amazing to me how video game music (particularly music from RPG's) can hold so much emotional significance; making a grown man cry more than 10 years after playing the game. When I listen to this track now, I still think the same thing I did when I first heard it: I can do this. Also, if you haven't played- get a ROM or cartridge of this game. I agree with the other comments, this game is ver underrated and worth playing.
I can't believe this game wasn't more popular... it was EASILY the best DS game I've ever played in my life.
Its sad, but hey atleast their is a cult following i guess ^^.... sorry
