I just happen to have a package of large index cards needing some attention. The embossing was so pretty then you show us the crayon rubbing. What? You just have some of the best ideas.
So many cute ideas!! I just did crayon rubbing on regular paper for backgrounds in collage, but hadn't thought of using index cards until now. Love the lace cards, too!
Those are just beautiful Kathleen. Simple and elegant. Same with your ideas on the rubbings. And they are so creative and again can be elegant. Thanks. Ps. Saving this video
Sometimes we get so caught up in doing crazy and often complicated techniques, thank you for posting a reminder that we CAN do simple yet beautiful ones❣️
I so enjoyed your Index Card ephemera, I loved the crayon rubs and the fabric with snippets of fabric and lace were very pretty. I am going to make some and add a little charm or bead dangle to the safety pin. Your voice is so calming, thank you for sharing your talents and imagination.
Yes - exactly! However, you have to write on the backside of the rubbed design because the waxy crayon resists ink. (Which gives one more ideas for crayon rubbings, right?) Thanks so much for watching Denise!
I really enjoyed you making these into dreamy vintagey delightful journal cards. Index cards are my favorite things to use in my junk channels. Thanks for sharing your tips today. I really appreciate it. ❤❤❤
It all looks awesome - coffee dyed, I had wondered about the lines - they look great. I don't remember doing the crayon thing, so that's going to be fun to try; can't go wrong with lace! This video was a wonderful find for me - thanks.
Thank you! Videos like this one will help you learn how to make embellishments, just keep watching! And asking questions and trying it out. Your thumbs will be trained in no time.
This is a wonderful video of a set of fabulous, very doable ideas, Kathleen. Your willingness to share all of your really neat ideas and techniques is so appreciated by all of us! Thank you! Love and big hugs! 😀💞 PS. The only disappointing part for me is that over here, we don’t have single sided index cards. The lines on the front and back detract from them somewhat.
Thank you Keryn! What a thing - no blank index cards? Isn’t it funny how things can be so different in other places. Maybe you could just cut them…you probably do that already, right. That step certainly decreases how easy everything is…sorry about that!
No apologies necessary, Kathleen. I’ve searched so many places here, but all double sided. I was thinking to add a plain piece to one side because I still like having one side with the lines. It just adds an extra step to it. All included in the privilege of living in this wonderful country we call home. 😘😀💞
@@kerynokeeffe9133 Absolutely - no unlined index cards would be the least of issues, I suppose, haha. Just so you know, I recently saw a video where the gal had a double-sided index card and I thought - “wow, wonder where I could get one of those!” Haha, I guess in Australia. Surely wish postage to your wonderful country was not so expensive…
I’m in Australia and was going to say the same thing! I’m also jealous of all the wonderful lunch bags that you seem to be able to get in America. We don’t have the gussetted, sturdy ones. I use the gift bags and remove the handles (I unravel the handles and use them!)
@@nancyehill7129 I know it’s a shame you all don’t have what we have, but then I don’t have all the cool stuff you find so easily in Australia, haha! I watch thrift store haul videos from gals in Australia and feel the same envy! - like linens and lace stuff. wow… But - you would think you could find index cards and lunch bags! Go figure.
Hi Kathleen, new subscriber here in San Diego, Ca. What great ideas. I have never heard of a coil less safety pin. I guess I'm still too new to this. Where does one find them?
Welcome Diana!! Thanks so much for subbing! You can get coil less safety pins at large fabric stores on the notions wall. Sometimes Walmart has them, but for sure at a fabric/sewing store.
Hi Ms. Kathleen I love all your motivational Tutorials!! Please PM me - I’d like to purchase a couple items..if you still have any available. Thank you🌼

I know! Haha - I see index cards at the thrift store almost every trip. Thanks so much for watching!
The crayon rubbing is great, because you can get the design of the embossing folders but the card is still smooth for writng!
