I really love the Florida whining pavement. It’s so nice. I trust the state’s construction of new overpasses because use the same pavement when it gets done.
New Jersey is rehabilitating some bridges with the FDOT grooving and I freaking love it. I wish New York can do the same thing to rehabilitate some bridges but unfortunately they use longitudinal grooving which really sucks because some bridges that get rehabilitated used to be transversed grooving. This is why I will never trust New York with it’s rehabilitation of bridges although I’m not even surprised they use longitudinal grooving because Ik how NY are with bridge rehabilitations. They’ve been doing it for years
@@w-josh You are not wrong Josh. Florida does an amazing job with the bridges and leveling the roads. And when they are doing construction on highways. They do multiple bridge rehabilitations so they don’t have to wait for one year then do the next one. They can just get them done all at once
When Jacksonville completed and connected it's 295 and 9A loop it made a huge difference getting around. I'll be glad when these are connected together

Awesome vid! When I was on vacation in this Summer of 2019, I stayed in an rental for a few days very close to 429 in Kissimmee. Never went on it though. I was very close to Exit 6.
Am a driver for Select Motor Car in Gainesville, Florida! This is one of, if not my favorite interstate/stretch of road in Florida to drive 😁 know it like the back of my hand! Love Florida☺️💚
Is this how you would go driving to Disney from I4? Coming from up north and I’ll be the only driver in those last few exits in downtown Orlando just kill me and is it exit 101 off of I 4? onto the road. And they do bill by plate so I can just drive through right?
I don’t think this one does bill by plate. Either cash or prepaid tolls only. If you’re coming from the north you don’t have to use this road as there are several Disney World exits off I-4 before you get to 429.
This and all other rural tollways and interstate highways in Florida need to be 80 MPH. The design of this tollway is very similar to SH-130 in Texas which has an 80-85 MPH speed limit.
yes, but there also needs to be some strict passing lane laws enforced aswell suprised florida didnt put a 75+ mph speed limit on the turnpike south of the orlando area, its very rural until Miami.
@@w-josh I can’t agree with you more!! Can’t stand left lane hogs and even witnessed one on 429 which unexpectedly caused me to get a bridge sound at a pretty high speed when I had to pass on the right.
@@gagejohnson3778lol i seen that. Adding to my comment, I-75 and I-95 have a lot more traffic than i expected. You would think 6 lanes is great outside of an urban area, but there is heavy truck traffic on both interstates so much of traffic is stuck behind trucks & vehicles below 70 mph. I think it would be great if both interstates was built like the NJ Turnpike where Cars are separated from trucks. I-95 in Jacksonville may not need something like the NJ Turnpike, but widening to 8 lanes id say would be reasonable. FL-9B (Future I-795), And FL 23 (First Coast Expy) are already deserving of a 75 MPH+ speed limit aswell. I also think that Florida should raise the speed limits on many of their US highways (especially the Starke Bypass) To 70 MPH. Florida is in the decision making stage of raising speed limits to 75 mph in rural areas like I-75, I-95, I-10, I-4, FL Turnpike, and Suncoast Pkwy (which really deserves an 80-85 mph speed limit because not much traffic is on it north of the Tampa area to my knowledge). Edit 2: Starke bypass is 70 mph.

I think FL-429 and FL-417 Should Be a Toll-Free Interstate Beltway Around Orlando and 8 Lanes (or more) Wide, and at the Southern End of Both The 417 And The 429, Since There So Close To Each Other There Should Be a Roadway Paralleling I-4 Connecting the Two Roadways with Each Other with On and Off Ramps To I-4 And I-295 In Jacksonville Should Also Be 8 Lanes (or more) Wide.
FL-429 & FL-417 being connected is a process alr happening, that's what the construction at and end is about. I also agree abt Jax and I-295 being 8 lanes (4 in each direction).
Love the sound of Florida’s bridges, great video!!!

I really love all the whining pavement in the U.S.
Florida also levels bridges with the road better than any state ive traveled. Even in a semi, theres not big bumps when you go on a Florida bridge.

Milage Mike, I see toll gantries on this thruway. Will the toll booths be demolished and will all the tolls on this thruway be cashless?
