El Cóndor Pasa (pronounced [el ˈkondoɾ pasa], Spanish for "The Condor Passes") is an orchestral musical piece from the zarzuela El Cóndor Pasa by the Peruvian composer Daniel Alomía Robles, written in 1913 and based on traditional Andean music, specifically folk music from Peru.
Since then, it has been estimated that around the world, more than 4000 versions of the melody have been produced, along with 300 sets of lyrics. In 2004, Peru declared this song as part of the national cultural heritage. This song is now considered the second national anthem of Peru.
It is the best-known Peruvian song in the English-speaking world due to a 1970 cover by Simon & Garfunkel on their Bridge over Troubled Water album. Their version is called "El Cóndor Pasa (If I Could)".

Played on my Alan Brason custom Stratocaster fitted with Kinman FV-HMS pickups on Neck Position through an Alesis Quadrabverb Q2 with EFTP patch 0-36 and into Cubase SX 6 on the computer.
The Cubase sound edited with the three 4K video takes in Sony Vegas pro 14.

LOVE the deeper tones at the start. Most versions begin and stay in higher registers - those low tones really created a dark atmosphere before the brighter parts, but still with occasional brief dives back into the low tones. The staccato section was equally unusual. No doubt about it, this is a top interpretation - Have just downloaded the tabs for this - just a single sheet!! Great job! . Many thanks.

El Condor Pasa es una melodía tan amable y dulce que es considerado un himno para el pueblo peruano de donde yo provengo , fue creado por el compositor nacido en la ciudad de Huánuco llamado Daniel Alomia Robles y que a su vez la misma ciudad fue testigo de cómo nacio el Condor Pasa por primera vez , y me enorgullece bastante saber que su tema llegó tan lejos con el pasar del tiempo que dio la vuelta a todo el mundo , hasta la Nasa lo mando al espacio sideral .
Orgulloso de haber nacido en la tierra de Huánuco , orgulloso de ser Peruano.

The was always a favorite of mine to sing and play during my early playing days... decades ago (Lord, we're getting old...) Love the double stop harmony parts on the bridge sections and of course the H.B.M. muted sections for that Shads feel. BTU and all the BEST.
