Hey Mat. Yeah, the RSQ8 launching is a lottery. It bugs down 2 of 3 times. I don't know why that happens. It's so irritating. But when it launches properly, you fly from standing. There is NO way the RS4 is quicker than the RSQ8 on a proper launch. We've tested them several times and with VBox got 11.85 on a quarter mile as best. But yeah, that RSQ8 launch is so weird. P.S. You know that it's not Audis fault about the soft-limiter huh? It's the freaking EU-Emissions that forces them to do it, and so will other manufacturers soon. Cheers
He's great guys, f90 m5s did have an issue sometimes with launch. Mat has said so himself. Apparently this rsq8 may have a similar issue or just the tyres weren't actually warm enough and the car was just being a protective audi..

Good video. I think it would've been more evenly matched across all 3 (in the drag and rolling races) if the RS3 rather than the RSQ3 had been used - same engine but a good bit lighter.
Could you do a camera shot from behind the cars and a bit more sky where you edit all those specs from the cars side to side? its easier to compare them that way. You could do a little voice over to transition it as well to the next scene.

Audi owner here. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you press and hold down the ESC button it will disable to traction control and will allow you to rev the engine.

So why doesn’t the X6M fun a faster lap at the Nurburgring than the RSQ8 because we know the X6M is better than the X4M in almost every aspect. That’s what he’s trying to say lol, but either way he isn’t taking the cars handling capability into consideration which is the whole reason the RSQ8 has the lap record.
Unpopular opinion: Soft limiters are a good thing. One for saving the engine.. if you rev the engine too much it gets hot.. and standing still there's not much of cooling going on (remember all those supercars bursting into flames). Second, when an engine is under load (driving away) it sounds way better than without load (standing still and revving) so in my opinion revving a stationary car is a bit pointless.

Don’t blame Audi for Europe’s epa regulations. We all know these same engines sounded much better even with the soft limiter just a few years ago.
