I own a fully loaded 2021 Audi rsq3 Sportback and it was a bit lethargic in every mode but dynamic when it was brand new,it wasn’t until I did about 5,000km that it woke up in the other modes,at 3000km I used launch control for the first time and ran anywhere from 4.7 to 5.2 depending on surface, however at 5000km it runs 4.2 on hotmix and 4.4 to 4.7 on rough surfaces,I believe it’s a combination of being new and tight plus the gearbox, still takes days to kick down,I owned an s3 sedan previously and the power delivery is more linear but lacks the mid range punch of 5cy,wanted to get rs3 but I was forced into suv because of disease that fuses all my bones together
This car ticks all the boxes for me. Hatchbacks are for daredevil speedfreaks, this is a more grown up sports utility machine, but still like a pocket rocket (yet mature and stable enough to be classy). Better height is also far more convenient than slumping down into a hatchback. That’s my opinion. ☺️
In respect to the "Towing Matters" video published after this one, it is very pleasing to see you making the correction and engaging with an expert on future towing videos. Good work, Tom and the Chasing Cars team.
Interesting, when you said ‘not that fun it will constantly put a smile on face, instead go for an S3 etc. I currently have one and want to move away from S3 and into an RSQ3. The whole soft limiter in the new S3s makes having that type of performance car feel pointless. May as well have an Xdrive diesel… Also I’m not a petrol head so never realised I was bothered by the sound of the engine…until I lost it in the new S3! Great review! Just would argue I don't always have a happy face in my S3 ;)
The '22 doesn't have front memory seats and I don't believe this '23 does either. Really disappointing for such a premium price, especially when most tiguans have memory seats.
They do have memory seats. This specific one is 10 year anniversary special edition hence it doesn't have it. I'm a 23 owner by the way and I have memory seats
For me, I'd say the Formentor, because I think that car represents better value for money. But what I'd actually do is try and snap up a rare-as-hens-teeth Golf R wagon, because it's even better again.
It’s deliberate for all VAG products. Engine check light is on for a few seconds, it will come off when there is no issue. To show drivers that the engine check light is working every time
@@chasingcarsIMO, the current Gen VW Tiguan looks sharper than this but it looks like VW is going to destroy that. Besides which I refuse to 1: Let go if my Mk7.5 Golf R & 2: Buy any other VW whilst ever they are pushing those crap haptic buttons in their interior. I’d gladly jump across to Audi, RSQ3, but the exterior is dated but I’m worried the refresh will come at the expense of the 5 cylinder & be replaced with something new perhaps? I also really hate all these silly looking touch screens which aren’t integrated with the dash, this Audis interior is fine but they’ll end up putting a 5000 inch portrait style infotainment system with all the cars functions buried behind screen after screen. Is there any brand out there that’s actually listening to their customers? 😭😭😭
Tom, surely a bit pointless blocking comments for an apology video when you upload constantly - or are you going to delete any related comments that turn up in other Chasing Cars videos?
Nah, of course not. It’s our decision that the particular video you refer to stand on its own very simply as a message from us. As for comments on other videos - like most outlets we do moderate comments for various reasons. But this question is totally reasonable, hence the answer!
So Tom you said that there is a choice of just 2 colours for this SUV. Was it too hard to mention what the other colour was?? Other than that trivial bit of nonsense, I love this car and just wish I could afford it! Thanks for the review. Also, to be pedantic, saying 'nicer' isn't the best English word to use ( I thought you was smarter than that). Oh dear, I am so old fashioned, or just more educated 😉

And a fair opinion it is.
Took the words out my mouth! Exactly why I want to move away from hatch's into something like this!
Which is why I bought one, and been driving it very happily the last year!
The best reviewer by far , thanks Tom.
Very kind. Thank you.
picking up my Kaylami green end of the year! Cannot WAIT!!!
Enjoy! Great colour.
Cracking review, Tom. Well done and thank you 👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it.

Thank you.
Here stateside, closest I can get was a GLA45. I love my 23 plate, but I’d rather have had the opportunity for this RSQ3 tbh.
Great review!
Such a shame we don’t have this RSQ3 in 🇺🇸

Only thing missing is message seats like the sq5.

@@randomdude4822 Seems like I got screwed then! My non special edition 22 model doesn't have memory seats
If it's your own money, would you buy this or Cupra Formentor?
For me, I'd say the Formentor, because I think that car represents better value for money. But what I'd actually do is try and snap up a rare-as-hens-teeth Golf R wagon, because it's even better again.
Audi RSQ3 or Porsche Macan S ?
What’s that engine light even on the brand new car???

Instruments in accessory mode so we're not making noise and emissions while we film the static stuff
This gen is quite overdue for a facelift…any idea when is it coming?
Must be soon. Still looks quite fresh though I reckon.

😭😭😭
It is not coming anymore, they ended the production of the RSQ3 forever ( official info, not rumour )
Can’t wait till you review the new M3 Touring
End of the month!
Brand new RSQ3 or a low km Alfa Romeo Stelvio QV Tom?
I think the Stelvio Q is more distinctive again. I'd probably go a Giulia Q though.
Der RSQ3 Sportback ist seit Dezember 2022 bis heute (15.8.2023) schon nicht mehr bestellbar.
You'd need to compare this to the Formentor VZx!
Good idea for a comparison - my hunch is that the Formentor VZx is nearly as good in the chassis department for $30-45k less…
SUV's are all sports utility vehicles aren't they 😂
Most are boring and bloated appliances 😂
You know, it's a term that's in common parlance.
I want the RS flat bottom steering wheels back
I just noticed that, why would they take the FB?
This or a Polestar 2 DM or EV6 gtline for the money.....
Puts EVs into perspective.
Good point, though I think it's an EV6 GT at this money (depending on any price-gouging out there).
These are selling for $120k+ on carsales...much prefer an RS3 over this.
Gosh!
Audi is so cruel they won’t sell this here in Canada 😢😔

It's a little screamer. Got a bit of kick.
True.
RSQ3 on a track LMAO.
It can do it. Whether you'd want to is another question.
This or Macan?
If you can stretch to a Macan S, then that.
I have a 2022 Macan S. Such a dynamic vehicle. Highly recommend. The only negative is the back seat space.
15 litre per 100k !? Jesus Christ
On track? Cmon mate. 😂
Just because it can…doesn't mean I would!
unfairly expensive
You mean smiles per gallon
Your dreaming this cost 104k 😂 try more like 135k

Sorry, fair point. The other colour is dew silver matte - a huge $8900 upcharge
@@chasingcars $8900 ?? Phew, that is a lot of money!
👍👍👍
Those beautiful seats are so wasted on an SUV!
Lovely, though, aren't they
Track?…what a wank!
It’s a raised hatch with a useless boot, not an SUV, or track worthy.
I just get these things, or the people that buy them..
it's boot is enormous, it handles like a hot hatch, it sounds great, it looks great, it's got an awesome engine.... etc etc etc
OK. Each to their own!
