So Astro gaming headsets have always been very pricey compared to the competition. They have decided to now release a headset that only retails for $60.........but is it worth it? I have to say that I was pretty excited to get my hands on these. Enjoy!

I had the Astros a10 cuz it had a good mic and before that I had hyperx stinger so I upgraded to the Astros but the cups were uncomfortable for me because I also have glasses and the top has no padding so my head hurt but I preferred the stingers because it was more comfy and even though the mic is not as good as the a10 you can barely tell the difference and the audio for stinger was better in my opinion so get the stinger

PS4 Players! Don’t buy this. The controllers don’t output enough battery power to supply the headphone. That’s why you see people commenting about them. Xbox and PC audio is amazing.
An open back head phone+ a mic = a decent combo for everything

I rarely make comments on TH-cam but I saw this video and wanted to say that I have had these for a year now and despite trying several other more expensive options like HyperX and even though the style on these are sub-par (in my opinion) the audio is unrivaled. Absolute best for someone like me who plays audio-critical games like r6 siege.
Love these. My only problem with em is the cord is wayyy too long

I have an Xbox one but I like the blue PlayStation colorway. Would they work perfectly if I use the blue colorway instead of the Xbox green??

the hyper x cloud stinger has way more confortbility, the astro a10 is stiff and not really confortible

Actually, I got the PS4 version one, but I still got a splitter in the box.
The a10 mad uncomfortable had to take em back n got the rig 500 pro (ps4.) sounds way louder

My hyperx stingers were wrecked by our cat. I liked those headphones and would like to get new ones. Are the ear cups on these bigger or smaller than the Stinger? I liked the pleather of the Stinger and it really didn't make my ears very hot at all when worn for long periods of time. Do these headphones sound much better? Are the ear cups removable? if they are, are they machine washable? (odd question I know, It's just $60 is alot of money to me and I want to cover all the bases) Thank you to anyone who helps me with this or shows me some really durable braided cables I could get on a budget.

Hi nice video, just bought them but I'm upset. Both my wire volume and PS4 volume is cranked to the highest volume. I can't hear that loud though, I can't play siege. Help? No I do not have an amplifier

great review, would anyone have any suggestions on a gaming headset for someone like myself with a large head, I have gone through 3 headsets in the past 3 years sony gold, hyper x, and sony pulse. I am now considering spending a little more for a headset with significantly better build, since i keep breaking mines. any help would be awesome. keep the vids coming!
Lol I got my a40 a few day before these came out, but I still don't regret buying them.
i mean its not so embarrasing cause it can always go back up so the mic isnt stickin out
I bought these and they just weren't anything special. They hurt my head after a few hours, the sound wasn't that good, the mic- idk. The guys in play with did say a few times that my sound was echoing which I returned my turtle beeches for that reason. I'm at a loss. I want hyper x cloud but they are older so idk if I should get hyper x II or steel series. I'm stuck haha.
This or Razor Kraken Pro V2? They're the same price rn.

Steelseries arctis3, Hyperx cloud stinger, razer kraken pro, or this one Requirenmts: PC, Good mic, Comfort, durability, Good Sound and music I don’t care about surround sound. I like the razer kraken pro because you can hide the mic but I don’t really like razer and I don’t think it’s really durable?
HyperX Cloud Stinger. The sound quality is great for its price in my opinion it's better than the A10's. The comfort for the Stinger is better than the A10 but the A10 has the better mic quality. The Stinger mic isn't bad but it isn't good either so if mic is important and your ok with whatever comfort then get the A10s but I like the Stinger because of better comfort and less expensive.
If you have to compare them just to have an idea of the sound quality, I see on the back a HyperX Cloud, is the sound similar?
You dont need the splitter for pc though right?

Hey, what do you think is the best PC gaming headset for around $100, and with 7.1 dts virtual surround sound that most have is there any soung lag becuase i have a stereo headset and tried using razer surround but there is too much lag and im not sure if there is also lag woth headsets that have the built in virtual surround sound. Save your money and get the A40 or A50. The A10 headphones definitely do NOT sound as good as the higher priced models. They also are not as comfortable because they are tighter fitting. I returned my A10 headphones and don't regret it one bit. The A10 are for someone on a restricted budget who wants to upgrade from a cheap headset.
the A10 uses the exact same drivers as the A40. it's essentially the same headset with just a different build and doesn't come with the mixamp. The A10 is great for the price and fit is going to be different for everyone

Or the fact that astro is a completely foriegn name that I've only heard once because of this product like thats why headphone companies miss out so badly on buyers is their stuff is so expensive compared to what is cheap and works for everyday people like me like i want something good but I'm not overpaying for it

They would be ok for both. But definitely check out the Corsair HS50

The Sony Gold sounds better, the A10 has the better mic.....but the Corsair HS50 is better than both of the, and cheaper
THE REASON WHY MIC QUALITY IS GOOD IS BECAUSE ITS WIRED. for example the PS4 gold headset it comes with a cable same as the A10 once you connect the mic quality is wayyy better

i personally prefer the Core because of it's build quality and slightly better sound but the Stingers have a better mic and is a lighter headset

bigchill 67 a10 is only better on mic ,stinger are slightly better for gaming /bass but the cloud core has the best bass and i think same gaming as stingers

Hey man, I need some help picking out a headset. I'm deciding either between these (Astro A10s) or a Sennheiser GSP 300/302 (302 for the black color + it's around $80 on amazon).
My preferences:
* Good mic quality
* Good audio
* Good/Heavy bass (kind of a bass head)
* Comfort (a soft kind of feeling, near/enough for me to not notice I'm wearing a headset)

My personal pick would be the GSP300.... although the one thing the Astros have over the Sennheiser is bass. Both have good mics but the build quality of the Sennheiser and overall sound is better

Should I buy this or the Turtle Beach 50p? I would like to buy either one of these as a gift for my 11-year-old Cousin since his headphones are really bad and he wanted a mic as well.
Quantum Astro a10s by far..l got the 50p and logitech g430 to see which one I like more and i liked the g430s and returned the 50ps. Plus their wireless and only a $10 difference. The 50ps also looked weird on me so a10s by far

Emilio Aldrete I know this is old but my recons broke after a month or two and I didn't throw them around or anything the right side just stopped working. I just got the A10s and they seem good for now. The lack of padding on the headband does kind of hurt my head, but I think I just need to wear them out.

Plug the headset in the headset jack on the mixamp as long as its the a40 tr mixamp

Which platform do you play on? If you play on PC, get the G430. If you play on PS4/Xbox One, get the A10. I hope this helped.
DannyBos aww man thx for comment but I bought the Astros 3 days ago, they are great the mic is much better and sound is deeper and richer but it doesn’t have the surround sound but the directional audio is ok. Thx for you comment tho even if it’s abit late
